Chapter 399: Chapter 85: The Girl Appears Again_3
Faced with this sudden change, Tiro clearly knew that it was his time to shine. With a stern yell, he leapt up and made a circle with his both hands in the air. The huge energy of Red Battle Aura surged out of him, abruptly containing the pink poisonous fog, which was then unable to spread further. He wrapped the condensed fog with his Battle Aura and lightly slapped the ground. The fog, under the influence of the Battle Aura, immediately sank into the ground, no longer spreading to harm others.
Barely controlling the poisonous fog he inhaled with his inner Battle Aura, Fagle pointed at Ah Dai and said, "Capture him, don’t let him escape."
Only now did Ah Dai finally realize that this was indeed a trap. The man who posed as a client from the Mercenary Guild had planned to use the poison fog to harm the Lord of Duru City, and he had become an unwitting sacrificial pawn. Just as this realization hit him, Tiro had also dealt with the poisonous fog, and even if Fagle hadn’t commanded him, he knew what to do. He leapt up into the air and aimed a punch directly at Ah Dai’s chest.
The Red Battle Aura posed immense pressure on Ah Dai, making the surrounding air scorchingly hot. Ah Dai quickly placed his right palm in front of his chest to block Tiro’s punch. A corner of Tiro’s mouth showed a hint of disdain. His body trembled oddly mid-air and the punch originally aimed at Ah Dai’s chest changed direction towards his shoulder.
Tiro was extremely quick in changing his attacks, not giving Ah Dai any time to react. By the time Ah Dai realized the switch, the punch was already less than three inches from his shoulder. Unable to bring his arm up in time, Ah Dai sank into his stance, relying on his instincts to rapidly turn his body by ninety degrees. The scorching Red Battle Aura grazed his shoulder, burning a large hole through his already battered clothes. However, the residual heat of the Battle Aura was blocked by the Gigantic Spirit Snake Armor from reaching Ah Dai.
Tiro was overly confident in his attack and, having overextended his movements, had no method to retract them. His entire body was now effectively left wide open to Ah Dai. Knowing all of this was a misunderstanding, Ah Dai had no intention of hurting Tiro. He lightly pressed his right hand onto Tiro’s shoulder and instantly withdrew his Battle Aura, sending Tiro flying. Tiro felt himself being enveloped by a profound Battle Aura. When the Battle Aura disappeared, he found himself sitting right by Tifya’s side. For the first time since his training, Tiro had met an adversary so powerful. Although he knew the opponent had purposefully held back, he was still furious. He had always been proud, and the fact that his beloved Tifya and Fagle, who held the key to his future, were still around meant he could not afford to fail. He let out a ferocious yell, charged forward once again, and launched numerous palm shadows imbued with his red Battle Aura at Ah Dai.
At this point, Fagle’s guards had also reached Ah Dai’s side. The weapons from the eight masters simultaneously converged onto Ah Dai. Ah Dai did not have a chance to explain as the immense pressure pushed him to display his full potential. With his left foot at the center, he rapidly spun around, deflecting the eight weapons with each of his fingertips. Although all these eight close guards had superior skill, compared to Ah Dai’s Battle Aura that was close to reaching the ninth realm, they seemed rather weak. Each of them felt as though they had been hit with a heavy hammer in their chests and were sent flying together with their weapons by the surging Battle Aura. It all happened in the blink of an eye, Ah Dai had already repelled them.
It was then the second round of Tiro’s attack arrived. After being continuously attacked, Ah Dai felt a surge of anger even though he knew that all of this was a misunderstanding. He let out a loud shout, as a yellow and green Battle Aura instantly formed a sturdy Shield with his right hand as the center. Thud after thud could be heard as Tiro’s attack, which albeit seemed majestic and fierce, felt illusory and impractical when compared to the unadorned Shield of Ah Dai. All of Tiro’s attack could not even breach the defense of the Shield and merely dissipated into flickers of Battle Aura in the air. Ah Dai swung his right hand, repelling Tiro again, but this time he exerted more force. Tiro felt as though he was thrown away by a tremendous force and with a loud crash, he found himself heavily slammed against the walls of the hall. It was only then that Ah Dai had a chance to explain, he immediately shouted, "Stop! It’s a misunderstanding." As he spoke, he turned into a blur and sped towards Fagle. His swift shadow moved so quickly that no one could react in time to stop him. Fagle, who was still struggling with the poison fog, had no strength left to resist. Ah Dai placed his palm on Fagle’s shoulder, and from his hand, overwhelming True Qi rushed into Fagle’s meridians. Fagle had managed to keep the poison fog from invading his organs via his own Qi, and had thus remained unharmed. Now, a surge of gentle and substantial energy was integrated into his Battle Aura. This energy was the life-sustaining True Qi. With Ah Dai’s help, he finally managed to expel the poison fog. He spat out a mouthful of blackish fresh blood and immediately felt much relieved.
Meanwhile, the surrounding guards had gathered around them once again, but seeing their lord under Ah Dai’s hand, they dared not to advance recklessly.
Fagle, a little weakened, raised his hand and said, "Everyone, hold your fire." He turned to Ah Dai, gave him a grateful smile, and asked, "Young man, thank you. What is going on?" Ah Dai had clearly conveyed to him the misunderstanding through his actions of helping Fagle to expel the poison. He knew that Ah Dai was not trying to hurt him because Ah Dai, who had the opportunity and ability to kill him when he was within reach, chose instead to cure him from the poisoning.
