Chapter 370: Chapter 79: The Fight of Disparity_3

Soaring through the mid-air, Yan Shi felt a hitherto unknown clarity. His mind was incredibly clear and the True Qi in his body surged out profusely. Without any regard for self-defence, his battle aura became fully integrated into his attack, making the yellow battle aura on his sword blade brighter. Suddenly, it collided with the golden vortex above him.

Xuan Yuan halted in his steps, looking at Yan Shi with surprise. The battle spirit of this robust young man had become so strong that he had abandoned the fear of life and death, much like himself in his youth. The battle aura emitted by the young man had surpassed what a person of his age should possess. He had activated his full potential and formed a powerful offensive force. Xuan Yuan’s eyes reflected his approval and he silently nodded to himself.

In the midst of the deafening sound, Yan Shi was reeling back due to the violent force, his Hundred Refined Steel long knife shattered inch by inch. The Holy Judge was pushed back five steps, his golden robe slightly torn at the shoulder with blood seeping out. His face was pale, and there was a look of surprise in his eyes. Being able to injure a Holy Judge from the Holy Church Court of Judgement was indeed a cause for pride for Yan Shi.

Yan Li quickly received his elder brother, the massive impact force had made him take three steps back to stabilize his stance. With a flash of golden light, two Holy Judges had already floated in front of them, instantly sealing their meridians with golden battle aura, leaving them no opportunity to resist.

Seeing Yan Shi injured, Zhuo Yun’s heart ached, and her eyes turned red instantly. She desperately wanted to rush over to Yan Shi, however, she was unable to move her body.

Xuan Yuan turned his attention back to Ah Dai, who was astounding him with the robust True Qi emitted by his body. Such profound True Qi was not something that a youth of about twenty could possess. Even when he was forty, he didn’t seem to have possessed such deep cultivation. He stood in front of Ah Dai, watching him in silence and his eyes sparkled with excitement as he saw Ah Dai’s True Qi circulate. He floated to where the Yan brothers were, waved his hand casually and a white battle aura hit Yan Shi’s chest. Yan Shi shivered and felt a warm current disperse the accumulated energy in his chest. His entire body felt refreshed, and he spat out a mouthful of dark blood. His body felt much better. He looked at Xuan Yuan in confusion. Xuan Yuan waved his hand to dismiss the two Holy Judges. He looked at Yan Li who was glaring at him, and after snapping his fingers, he lifted the restraint on Yan Shi. He spoke indifferently, "You should know that your skills can’t harm me. I have a question for you now. I hope you’ll answer truthfully."

Yan Shi, feeling less hostile towards Xuan Yuan because he had helped him heal his wounds, calmly replied, "What do you want to know?"

Xuan Yuan asked, "Tell me, what martial art does the boy who’s still cultivating practice? Why does he possess such profound skills at such a young age?"

A thought flashed in Yan Shi’s mind. His intuition told him that the white-clothed elderly man in front of him was not sent by Sunset City to deal with them. He didn’t seem to mean any harm but was rather just interested in Ah Dai. Seeing that Yan Shi was not responding to his question, Xuan Yuan frowned, "You should know, I can take his life at any moment. If you don’t speak, I will make my move." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Yan Shi stiffened, said, "Don’t take action, I’ll tell you. The technique my brother is practicing is the Tian Gang Sword Sect’s Living Technique. As for why he’s able to achieve such power, of course, it comes from diligent practice." In the Tian Gang Sword Sect, apart from Xi Wen and the other second-generation disciples, no one knew that Ah Dai had received the transmission from the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang. They didn’t even know about the Sword Saint’s death. Before they left, Xi Wen had instructed Ah Dai to this effect, so Ah Dai also kept it from them. What Yan Shi said was what he believed to be the truth.

Xuan Yuan was taken aback. He thought to himself, if the boy has really achieved such profound skill through his hard work, his talent is unimaginable. No, it’s impossible! According to his knowledge, such authentic cultivation methods must be advanced gradually and couldn’t be accomplished in a short time. No, even the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang didn’t have such high cultivation at this age. His eyes gleamed as he stared at Yan Shi, speaking coldly, "I hope you are not lying to me, or else..."

With a clear conscience, Yan Shi looked directly into Xuan Yuan’s eyes without backing down, "All I know, I’ve told you. If you’re so capable, why not wait for my brother to wake up and ask him!"

Xuan Yuan scoffed and said, "Rest assured, even without your provocations, I’ll wait till he wakes up. My main purpose here is to see how strong the Grim Reaper is."

Yan Shi was taken aback. If the other party knew their identities, they were likely in great danger. Before he could say anything else, he was restrained once again by Xuan Yuan. Xuan Yuan went aside, sat on the ground, and closed his eyes, quietly cultivating as if nothing had happened. He was waiting for Ah Dai to fully restore his power.

As time slowly passed, a day later, Ah Dai gradually woke from his self-induced meditative state. Not only did he heal his wounds, but he also started to extract energy that was passed down by the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang from the second Golden Body at his chest. His day of solitary cultivation had brought some progress in his cultivation. As his consciousness slowly returned to his body, Ah Dai sensed something unusual around him. He could clearly feel four unfamiliar presences around him, apart from Yan Shi, Yan Li, Zhuo Yun, and Xing Er, who seemed very agitated.
