Chapter 359: Chapter 77: The Shocking Divine Arrow_1

The Elf Queen and her elves also rushed into the palace. The palace was empty, and no trace of Elf Princess Xing’er was found. Suddenly, five flashes of green light streaked through the air, and the guards who had been fighting with the Yan Shi brothers fell under the precise aim of the elf arrows. Upon learning of the tragic death of their own people, these kind-hearted elves had not shown mercy, and each of the five guards had been pierced by a pale green short arrow through their foreheads. The three guards whose meridians had been sealed by Ah Dai’s aura involuntarily cried out in relief and quickly closed their eyes, fearing that these winged beings would find them still alive.

The Elf Queen scanned her surroundings and pointed upwards, saying, "Xing’er is upstairs."

Ah Dai was stunned. There were no stairs in the palace hall, and it seemed that reaching the upper floor required unlocking a mechanism. Time was now everything to them. Ah Dai leaped up and conjured an Energy Blade about three feet long, with one flash, a square hole appeared above the heads of the people. After a loud noise, a massive chunk of neatly cut stone fell from the rock roof, with light faintly spilling out.

Ah Dai slapped downwards, using the force of his True Qi, he protected his entire body, drifting upwards, entering the upper palace.

Xing’er was sitting on the bed full of expectancy, praying continuously, filled with a yearning for freedom. The presence of her mother became more potent, she discerned the familiar life energy approaching her continually. She heard the tumultuous noises downstairs clearly. She wanted to yell, but her ability to speak had been restricted, her lovely body trembled slightly amidst her excitement. Abruptly, an area in front of her bed flickered with yellow-green light, a patch of the ground vanishing, a figure bearing a sacred white light abruptly appeared and floated in front of her. He held a yellow Light Blade in his hand, dressed entirely in black. He looked young but was not an elf but a human. The sudden appearance of this human elicited surprise and joy from him upon seeing her.

On seeing the alluring beauty in front of him, Ah Dai’s heart burst with joy; her wings and pointy ears confirmed her identity. He rushed forward to grab her arm and asked anxiously, "Are you Elf Princess Xing’er? I am a friend of your aunt, the Elf Queen. I came to rescue you." The familiar Federation language sounded so intimate; Xing’er burst into tears, Ah Dai’s excited expression appeared so familiar in her eyes. She abruptly threw herself into Ah Dai’s arms, bursting into silent tears, which momentarily stunned Ah Dai.

At this time, the Elf Queen and the four grand elf envoys also flew up, with the rest keeping guard downstairs.

When the Elf Queen saw Xing’er weeping in Ah Dai’s arms, her body shook violently. She was finally reunited with her daughter after two years of separation. Her heart was profoundly shocked; her body slightly trembled as two clear teardrops rolled down her cheeks. She cried out with so much emotion, "Xing’er—"

Xing’er’s whole body shook as she looked up. Her mother’s stunning face appeared within her blurry vision, she looked so gaunt, surely only because of worry for her. Xing’er tried to call out ’mother,’ but she couldn’t produce any sound. Ah Dai, having been frozen earlier by Xing’er’s embrace, only reacted now. Seeing Xing’er’s situation, Ah Dai immediately realized she had been silenced. The surging True Qi quickly flowed into Xing’er’s body, breaking the ban that Byinlog had once imposed.

"Mom—" Xing’er cried out, flapping her wings in an attempt to fly to her mother, but the chain on her foot restricted her movement, causing her to fall back into Ah Dai’s arms.

The Elf Queen flew up, tightly holding her daughter in her arms. Seeing her daughter, all blame and anger dissipated. While holding her daughter close, feeling the same elf king’s bloodline resonating within them, Elf Queen’s mind went blank, continuously tightening her arms, fearing that her daughter would disappear again.

After quite a while, the Elf Queen came out of her joy of reunion, gently stroking her daughter’s light green hair. Choked with emotion, she whispered, "Steady now, Xing’er. It’s all over. Mom is here; you will never be hurt again."

The eyes of the four grand elf envoys were also moist. Audi stepped forward, embracing the Elf Queen and Xing’er, whispering, "Let’s leave, quickly. This is, after all, the Empire of Sunset City’s royal palace, these abominable humans could come at any time."

The Elf Queen wiped the tears from her face and nodded, "Okay, let’s go."

Ah Dai was struggling with the chain on Xing’er’s feet. Surprisingly, the usually indestructible Light Blade could only produce a small nick on the chain at its first strike. Ah Dai was taken aback and kept hacking at the notch, which gradually enlarged but still did not seem like it would break.

The Elf Queen was taken aback and asked Ah Dai, "What kind of chain is this? It’s so firm." She had just seen the power of Ah Dai’s Light Blade, the impressive attack force was nothing short of astounding, but now it couldn’t even cut through a chain. It made her anxious. Each second passing filled her with a sense of impending crisis. She knew all too well that if she could not save her daughter this time, there may never be another chance.
