Chapter 302: Chapter 66 Golden Swallowing_2

Ah Dai conjured a yellow energy sword in his hand, pressing it against the cat woman’s throat. He coldly stared at her while she looked back at him with terrified eyes, immobilized by the immense pressure the energy sword emitted.

With a triumphant shout, Sheng Xie no longer cared for the cat woman, turning around to charge at his underling, the Bone Dragon. With the one-two-punch coordination of Sheng Xie and the Bone Dragon, the remaining men in black were swiftly eradicated.

Ah Dai pinned down the cat woman, his eyes brimming with hatred. He murmured, "Why? Why did you deceive me, why?" The feeling of being deceived was unimaginably painful for his kind heart. Now that the dust had settled, the Yan Shi brothers had recovered from the severe poisoning. Pale-faced, they walked over with Bing. Sheng Xie and the Bone Dragon also joined them. Yan Shi said bitterly, "Ah Dai, kill her. This despicable woman almost killed us." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

The energy sword in Ah Dai’s hand pressed down further. The cat woman’s eyes widened in terror. "No, don’t! I was forced. If I didn’t help Horton, I would have died a horrible death too! Please spare me, I won’t ever dare to do it again." The cat woman pleaded sadly, tears streaming down her captivating green eyes. Her pitiful appearance, coupled with her whimpering, softened Ah Dai’s heart.

Bing approached Ah Dai, saying coldly, "She’s definitely not serving under Horton’s orders. I had never seen her before, this woman is too malicious, kill her quickly."

Ah Dai gritted his teeth, asking the cat woman, "Tell me, why did you help Horton?"

The cat woman, Mimi, choked out, "I, I’ll tell you. I was originally the princess of the Cat Man Tribe, but then I was captured by a group of evil people. They cruelly tortured me and placed a restriction on me, controlling me. I don’t know anything about these evil men except that their leader is known as the Sect Hierarch. Please spare me, I promise never to harm anyone again."

Just then, the sound of many footsteps grew louder in their surroundings. Everyone was taken aback. Bing quickly commented: "Not good, Lord Horton must have called for reinforcements — let’s leave."

The overwhelming, rhythmic march of footsteps signaled the approach of a vast number of troops. Everyone knew that such a synchronized sound could only come from a well-trained army. Ah Dai, whose attention was fixed on the upcoming army, involuntarily slackened his hold on the energy sword. A flash of strangeness flickered in the eyes of the fallen Mimi. Suddenly, she slid a foot across the ground without warning and deceptively fast, freeing herself from Ah Dai’s control. She lunged towards Ah Dai, scratching her claw towards his face. Her lightning-fast speed was too fast for Ah Dai to react. A figure suddenly appeared before Ah Dai, blocking the cat woman’s attack with their own body. Blood splattered as the cat woman’s right claw stuck into the figure’s body. Without hesitation, she withdrew her claw and transformed into a green light. As swift as lightning, she dodged an attack from Sheng Xie and disappeared from everyone’s sight. As Mimi fled, the figure that had blocked her attack for Ah Dai collapsed into his arms, blood gushing out from their body. It was Bing, who had once again saved Ah Dai’s life at the most crucial moment. Her upper chest was gruesomely pierced by the cat woman’s claw. Ah Dai clung tightly to Bing as his heart pounded. A loud cry cut through the silent night sky as the armored soldiers of the Dark City surrounded them. The Yan Shi Brothers drew their weapons, their eyes burned with hatred for their enemy. The fury in their hearts reached its peak after being caught off guard by Mimi.

With Bing in his arms, Ah Dai hastily used his True Qi to seal off her blood vessels. But the wound was too large, and though the flow of blood had slowed down considerably, it still didn’t stop seeping out. Ah Dai channeled his True Qi into Bing as quickly as he could. Bing’s face was terrifyingly pale. Her face, no longer icy, wore a small smile as she looked at Ah Dai, her eyes filled with despair. "Stop wasting your energy, can you take me away from here, please? I don’t want to die in this filthy place. Take me away from Dark City," she pleaded.

The soldiers from the Dark City who had crept up were stunned by the sight of Sheng Xie and the Bone Dragon. They halted in their tracks, raising their weapons as they prepared for an attack.

Ah Dai was filled with regret. If he had ended the cat woman’s life in the first place, Bing wouldn’t have been so grievously injured. If his magic skills were more advanced, he could have used the Dragon’s Blood to perform a Light Magic healing spell to treat Bing’s injury. But he wasn’t capable of doing so and was forced to helplessly witness Bing’s life slowly slipping away. He picked Bing up gently, leaped lightly, and swiftly landed on Sheng Xie’s back. In a low voice, he said, "Good friend, it’s up to you now."
