Chapter 297: Chapter 65 The Secret of the Cat Woman_2

Yan Shi said in a low voice, "When necessary, we should try to summon the dragon. I don’t believe these people would not be afraid of a dragon’s attack."

Ah Dai was inspired by Yan Shi’s words and his mind recalled the Dragon’s Blood, He felt more confident. Horton sneered at them and said, "Perhaps you may be powerful, but what use is power if you can’t actually use it? Haven’t you realized that you have been poisoned?"

Ah Dai remembered the deadly poison in their dinner that day, scoffed and said, "Did we really get poisoned? I didn’t feel anything."

Horton cast a glance at the sky and said, "Well, it’s about time. You thought that not using the utensils tonight saved you from the poison? There’s nothing I, Lord Hortons, can’t do in the Dark City. How could you younglings stand against me? Every word of your conversation in the room earlier fell into my ears. Indeed, it was clever of you to avoid using the utensils. But those fruits and cakes you ate in the Noble Hall earlier, you did not check those carefully, did you? Truthfully, even without the poison, you simply wouldn’t be able to withstand my experts. Even if you managed to summon a dragon, I doubt it would make much of a difference. Nevertheless, I like to be careful in my operations and never leave any chances for my enemies. Ah, there are so many tasteless and odourless deadly poisons out there. It’s easy for any of them to go undetected. I believe you should be feeling a chill now."

Ah Dai and the others were suddenly shocked. As Horton’s voice fell, Ah Dai suddenly felt the Silver Golden Body in his Dantian shake, as though a cold flow was spreading across his body instantly, and he couldn’t help but shiver. He was startled and immediately summoned the True Qi within his body in an attempt to dispel the chill. Just then, five sharp forces attacked from behind. Before Ah Dai could react, his body was thrown into the air. The piercing energy spread all over his body instantly, and blood spurted violently in mid-air. The five sharp streams of energy penetrated his heart from the back and wreaked havoc in his meridians. The Silver Golden Body shone brightly, managing to slowly neutralize the sharp energy, but the deadly poison in Ah Dai’s body quickly took effect as the energy moved, and waves of chill constantly invaded his mind and body.

With a thump, Ah Dai hit a nearby wall and collapsed heavily. The powerful attack weakened him, nearly shattering his True Qi. His Silver Golden Body was vague now and waves of intense chill continued to invade his meridians. Blood flowed continuously from the corner of his mouth, and he looked at the spot where he had been standing. There stood the cat woman who had been unconscious all along. She looked at her sharp-clawed hand with a frown on her face.

Yan Shi and Yan Li were pale as death. The Fairy girl was frozen in fear, trembling slightly. Horton and his men in black stood still. Horton walked over with a smile and turned to the cat woman, saying, "Thank you for your hard work, Miss Mimi."

The timid look on Mimi’s face was gone, replaced with a provocative smile. She said, "Don’t mention it, Lord Viscount. I was going to apologize to you for the rudeness of Black Demon on behalf of our sect leader. However, this boy is really stupid, to trust me so blindly. But, it’s weird that my full force attack couldn’t penetrate his body. Eating a heart seems to be a difficult task!"

A roar of rage resounded as Yan Shi and Yan Li charged at Mimi and Horton with their weapons. The cat woman snorted coldly in disdain. Her body blurred, within the blink of an eye, Yan Shi’s brothers, due to their impulsiveness, couldn’t unleash their full power. Moreover, the frost poison in their bodies was restricting their abilities. All they saw was a blur before they felt a strong blow to their chests and vomited blood as they were thrown backward.

Cat Woman Mimi was still standing in the same spot, stroking her claws and frowning. "Their skin is really tough! My claws couldn’t penetrate it. But now that they’ve exerted their power, the effects of the Cold Condensation Frost poison should speed up. Ah, they really don’t know what’s to come."

Ah Dai had an incredulous look on his face. He stared blankly at the cat woman, muttering, "Why? Why did you attack us?" He still couldn’t understand why the cat woman had changed so dramatically.

The cat woman showed an evil smile, revealing a pair of small fangs, and said, "Ah, you can only blame your foolishness. But indeed, your power is quite impressive. The True Qi you gave me when you were defeated was so comfortable. In fact, Viscount Horton had calculated everything from the very beginning. Horton Viscount, please explain it to them yourself." She did not seem to want to kill Ah Dai and the others right away, and like a cat playing with a mouse, she wanted to play around before the final feast.

Horton Viscount was very respectful to this Mimi, the cat woman, and with a smile, he said, "Mister Magician, I believe that under your severe injuries, there’s probably no chance for you to summon a dragon. Now, we can have a good talk. I know that your abilities are quite strong, not only are you skilled, but you also have the ability to summon dragons. This is the first time I’ve heard of the existence of such a Summoning Magician."

Ah Dai said hatefully, "What do you want?" He was constantly gathering his True Qi in his Dantian, but the Cold Condensation Frost poison continuously eroded his True Qi, acting like a drug that dispersed his powers. Yan Shi and Yan Li were in a bad condition too. After the cat woman’s violent attack, they both fell to the ground, their faces deathly pale. They sat there, unable to get up.
