Chapter 286: Chapter 63 Discouragement of Ice_1

Ah Bing sighed lightly, keenly putting on her refreshing attire, then slowly made her way out. When she reached the corridor, she was amused by the sight in front of her. Ah Dai was thoroughly soaked, water droplets dripping down his hair, hugging the wall, too embarrassed to meet her gaze. The impressive magician from the casino was gone, leaving behind a shy boy. When her gaze fell upon this boy who was younger than her and yet an advanced mage, she felt a tenderness for the first time. She moved beside Ah Dai, saying gently, "You cannot understand my life, nor are you responsible to intervene. Leave me be. If you don’t want my body, then I’ll leave." As she strode towards the exit, she hesitated at the doorway and lowered her voice, "A word of advice, leave as quickly as you can, or else..." She stopped short, opened the door and exited.

With the fading footsteps of Ah Bing, Ah Dai finally relaxed, his body slightly weak. Even when traversing Mount Tian Gang end-to-end, he had never felt this drained. Recalling the captivating encounter, Ah Dai’s face flushed crimson. It took him quite a long time before he calmed down. Ah Bing’s words rang in his thoughts, hinting at her internal sorrow, suggesting a hidden secret. Though Ah Bing tempted him, he did not harbor feelings for her, knowing his heart was fully occupied by Xuan Yue. His intention to retain Ah Bing was only meant to help her. Ah Dai sensed her vulnerability though she projected an attractive aura. He silently resolved to assist her if an opportunity arose. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Ah Dai left his room; the hallway outside was silent. He looked around and gently knocked on the door of the siblings, Yan Shi and Yan Li.

"Who is it?" asked Yan Shi in a deep, resonating voice.

"Brother, it’s me." Ah Dai responded in a low voice.

The door opened, and Yan Shi, noticing Ah Dai’s look of disarray, beckoned him in. Yan Li gave Ah Dai a peculiar look and chuckled, "Brother, you’re a disappointment! You couldn’t even last that long?"

Ah Dai was momentarily stunned and retorted, "What do you mean by ’last that long’?"

Yan Shi glared at Yan Li, "Quit the nonsense. Ah Dai, why did you bring the girl into your room?" Yan Shi was well aware that Ah Dai had no weakness for these pleasures. Bringing Ah Bing into his room was not without purpose, as he could clearly sense from Ah Dai’s mind message. He hoped Ah Dai would explain to address his confusion.

Ah Dai sighed," Brother, I found the girl called Ah Bing enigmatic and pitiful. It seemed like she has borne grave sufferings, apparently, some secrets she can’t divulge. I wished to lend her assistance. Unfortunately, she despised my offering." He relayed the events that transpired at the casino: Ah Bing’s sneak attack and the subsequent occurrences.

On hearing Ah Dai’s account, Yan Li extended his thumb in approval, "Resolute as you, I surrender."

Yan Shi frowned, "Ah Dai, are you implying that the girl is not weak, and is potentially under the control of the casino owner? Ah Dai, you shone too brightly at today’s casino, I doubt the owner will let us off easily."

Yan Li sneered," What if he doesn’t? Can he possibly eat us? If it comes that far, we’ll just fight."

Yan Shi replied, "It’s not that straightforward. We are at their turf. If they attempt to confront us, they will plan meticulously. It is not necessary that we’ll be able to fight our way out."

"For now, each step ahead needs care. If the opponents attempt to fight us, we shall not be easy to bully. Ah Dai, you must not pity the villains at the Dark Forces Nightclub, or we’d be at a disadvantage. If the situation demands, you should summon the dragon to fight. Even if the opponents are superior, we could have a chance to escape."

After some thought, Yan Shi continued, "Actually, what I fear the most is not the hidden forces here, but the army of the Dark City. Regardless of our strength, we can’t resist an army. There are always limits for humans."
