Chapter 281: Chapter 62: Tens of Millions of Assets_1

Yan Shi snorted, remarking, "We’ve seen our fair share of beauties and grown tired of their company. We need some new thrills. Alas! You claim to be one of the largest nightclubs in the Empire of Sunset City, but you offer nothing to my satisfaction, quite disappointing." He turned to Ah Dai, giving him a suggestive look, "Brother, we should visit the Tian Yuan Clan in the Federation someday. With our power, we might catch an elf or two for amusement. I heard the Elf Clan has nothing but beauties! Heh heh."

Watching Yan Shi’s lascivious grin, Ah Dai felt a chill, despite knowing it was only an act. He reluctantly agreed, "Right, we should make the trip if we get a chance."

Yan Shi, pretending to lose interest, remarked, "Thinking about the beauties of the Elf Clan makes me restless. I’ve lost my interest in gambling. Fellows, this Noble Hall might not have much to offer, and we can skip it. Let’s exchange the chips and rest for a while, then head to the Federation; maybe we can catch an elf with our power. Then we brothers can enjoy the delicacies of an alien race."

Once Yan Li understood Yan Shi’s intentions, he added, "Yeah, indeed, elf sisters are way more appealing."

Yan Shi turned to a slightly taken aback Jin Bo and said, "Brother Jin, could you help exchange our chips? We need to go and will come back again if we get a chance."

Jin Bo felt his heart tense. He knew this trio were not ordinary. Previously, he had led them to play in the Noble Hall hoping to keep them busy. However, their gambling skills were far superior, and they had astonishingly won nearly two million gold coins. Despite the prosperity of the nightclub, two million was no small sum. For now, he had to keep them here until the owner arrived to take control of the situation. With this in mind, Jin Bo tried to placate them, "Gentlemen, please do not rush to leave. Can I have a word with you?"

Ah Dai’s trio was delighted, realizing Jin Bo had taken the bait. Yan Shi acted troubled, and with a frown, replied, "I don’t want to linger here any longer than needed. Just say what you need to."

Jin Bo waved to the two bodyguards behind him, "Cover the staircase entrance for me, let me know if someone is heading up." Dismissing the guards, he signaled Ice, who looked at Ah Dai and stepped aside. Jin Bo led Ah Dai’s trio to a corner of the hall and whispered, "Gentlemen, don’t be hasty, we do have elves here."

Yan Shi feigned surprise and exclaimed, "What? You have them here too? Well, I’m finding your palace full of surprises! As expected of this great nightclub. So why don’t you bring some elves for us to enjoy? Don’t worry; we assure you won’t be short-changed."

Jin Bo laughed bitterly, "You likely know how precious the elves are. They aren’t easily available. Our nightclub has only managed to procure a single female elf, at a high cost. If you are willing, I won’t lie anymore. Actually, our club’s fourth floor is not a resting place, as rumored outside. It is an underground auction house, featuring items rarely seen on the mainland. The female elf is the most precious item in the auction. Yet, no one has offered a high enough bid to take her away. There is an auction tonight. Would you like to participate? If you find the price feasible, we will sell. If you have some fascinating items, feel free to auction them."

Ah Dai was thrilled and quickly replied, "That’s great! We’ll participate in the auction tonight. I wonder how much that elf will go for."

Jin Bo smiled mysteriously, "The price isn’t rather high, the minimum bid is only ten thousand."

Yan Li mumbled, "Ten thousand? It actually sounds reasonable. Much cheaper than the girls here."

Jin Bo chuckled and replied, "Though it is ten thousand, it’s in diamonds."

Yan Shi blurted out, "What? Ten thousand in diamonds? You’d better rob a bank! That’s like a million gold coins! That’s enough to sustain a ten-thousand-strong army for over a year."

Jin Bo said helplessly, "The price is high because elves are rare. We couldn’t help it either; the price was set from above. Initially, we had three elves, one of which was male. However, the rest have been auctioned off for seventy and eighty thousand diamonds respectively. These elves not only cost a lot but also are quite aggressive due to their innate strength. Although they’ve been restrained, they are still wild and not easily subdued. In comparison, the girls here won’t disappoint you with their quantity and price, and I can assure you that their bedside manners are a good match to the elves."

Yan Shi snorted coldly and remarked, "Enough, no more nonsense. That’s the feeling we were after. We will attend tonight’s auction; notify us when it’s time to participate."

Jin Bow was very obliging, "Okay, okay. Would you like to play around in Noble Hall for a while before leaving?"

Ah Dai knowing they only had slightly less than two million in chips, seemingly not enough to buy back the elf, suggested, "Let’s play around in the casino for a while. You can come to pick us when it’s time."
