Chapter 191: Chapter 43 Sword Saint of the Tian Gang_2

The relationship between Xi Wen’s group of seven and Owen was incredibly deep. Sorrows overflowed as they gathered around the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang, overcome with grief. Feeling the somber atmosphere, Ah Dai seemed to see Owen’s face in his heart, choking as he said, "Uncle Owen, I swear I will avenge you."

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang abruptly lifted his head, a cold gleam flashing in his eyes. He ordered Ah Dai, "Show me the Sword of Hades."

Ah Dai was taken aback, and hastily replied, "The Evil Aura on the Sword of Hades is too strong, I’m afraid it might affect you..."

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang huffed coldly, his aura surging with power and causing the stone cave to tremble slightly. "Give me the sword. I refuse to believe that there’s an evil force that can harm me."

Only then did Ah Dai remember that the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang had already mastered the ninth level of the Rebirth Technique. He nodded, undid his outer clothes to reveal the leather bag. The handle of the Sword of Hades, inlaid with a black gem, emitted a faint cold light. Ah Dai warned, "Sword Saint, please do not unsheathe it. Extracting the Sword of Hades will take a soul." Having said that, he removed the Sword of Hades together with its leather bag and respectfully handed it to the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang.

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang handed over the Tian Gang Sword and Owen’s ashes into Xi Wen’s hands, vitality radiating from his entire body. Ah Dai noticed that the Sword of Hades in his hand seemed to be wrapped in an unknown force, and he no longer felt any Evil Aura, as if it was only a typical short sword. The Sword of Hades fell into the Sword Saint’s hand along with its leather bag. He gripped the handle and drew the Sword of Hades from its sheath. The moment the Sword of Hades was removed from the bag, its Evil Aura surged enormously, but the overwhelming evil intent still couldn’t break through the Rebirth Aura unleashed by the Sword Saint. A white light shone brightly, and Ah Dai could clearly see the Sword of Hades continuously emitting a faint grey gas under the Aura’s wrap.

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang looked surprised, frowning, "So this is the Sword of Hades that ruined Owen’s life! He was too obsessed, causing so much bloodshed. No wonder he had such a tragic ending. The utterly malicious Sword of Hades indeed has formidable power. I wonder how many moves I can withstand with the nine-character mantra of Hades."

Ah Dai said, "Uncle Owen said that if I could train to the ninth level of the Rebirth Technique in the future, I could utilize the first five stances of the Hades Swordsmanship. He also said that the remaining techniques are forces too powerful to exist in this world. Sword Saint, please be careful."

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang returned the Sword of Hades into the leather bag and said to Ah Dai, "If I told you now, I intend to keep this Sword of Hades with me; would you agree? After all, it was Owen who gave this to you."

Upon hearing the Sword Saint’s words, Ah Dai felt an enormous burden lifted. Although the Sword of Hades holds massive power, it simultaneously was causing significant trouble for Ah Dai. Nodding vigorously, he replied, "It would be best if you kept the Sword of Hades. If it weren’t for Uncle Owen insisting on giving it to me, I would not want it. The power of evil is truly terrifying."

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang looked at the relief in Ah Dai’s eyes, and smiled softly. "What a pity! It is useless to me. Owen was right. Using such an evil instrument in a righteous place might bring blessings to people. I am satisfied with your character. You shall be the Guardian of the Sword of Hades." After he finished speaking, he tossed the Sword of Hades back to Ah Dai.

Ah Dai hesitated, clutching the Sword of Hades, and murmured, "Would you reconsider? Only someone as skilled as you could control it. I’m afraid that I..."

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang frowned, "As a disciple of the Tian Gang Sword Sect, you must have a determined spirit and face your difficulties head-on. What kind of attitude is this? Don’t you understand that human’s triumph over destiny?"

Seeing the Sword Saint’s anger, Ah Dai felt fearful and hurriedly stowed the Sword of Hades and hung it around his waist in silence.

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang scanned his seven disciples and asked, "What are your thoughts on Owen’s death?"

Xi Wen replied, "Master, the Assassin’s Guild has gone too far. They clearly knew Owen was your disciple, but they dared to hurt our sister and pressured Owen to join their ranks. I think it’s time for us to strike back. I believe with our abilities, we should be able to level the Assassin’s Guild and avenge Owen."

Zhou Wen vehemently added, "Elder Brother is right! The Assassin’s Guild is incredibly wicked. They have no respect for our Tian Gang Sword Sect. We cannot let Owen’s death go unavenged!"

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang closed his eyes and sighed lightly, "What good will revenge do, and if we don’t seek vengeance, then what? No matter what, your disciple brother and sister are already gone. I have lived for a hundred years, yet I failed to protect my disciples and my daughter. Alas, this title of Sword Saint is meaningless." Thinking of Ah Dai’s recounting of Owen’s last thoughts, his eyes welled up.

Lu Wen tentatively asked, "Master, are we just going to let this slide?"

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang shook his head slightly, "I am tired. You all go ahead and take Ah Dai back. I need some time to think. Ah Dai, from today onwards, you are officially a third-generation disciple of the Tian Gang Sword Sect."

Xi Wen stopped his disciple brothers from speaking further with a look and led Ah Dai out of the stone cave with them.

Once outside the stone cave, Ah Dai began to cry loudly. The process of sharing his experiences with Owen had made him relive all that happened between them. Thinking of everything Owen had done for him, along with their many years of friendship, he couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by sorrow.
