"Ah! I... I didn’t see anything," Ah Dai clumsily explained. The cold spring water did nothing to dampen Ah Dai’s heated chest, still unable to calm himself down.

Ah Dai was taken aback; he shook his head forcefully, casting out the thought that Xuan Yue liked him, and whispered: "Brothers, please stop teasing me. I’d like to rest for a while." He then lay down on the grass and closed his eyes feigning sleep.
Seeing Ah Dai’s slightly depressed mood, the Yan brothers exchanged glances, unsure why he was behaving this way, so they stopped teasing him.
Not long after, a startling cry came from the pool above. Ah Dai, who had been lying down, jumped up reflexively and dashed towards the pool with a face full of anxiety.
Yan Li was about to follow and see what had happened, but Yan Shi held him back: "You want a nosebleed too? Nothing major will happen here, let Ah Dai handle it. You can’t look at what you shouldn’t!"
Yan Li laughed heartily and said, "Eldest brother, you’re always so thoughtful."

Xuan Yue lowered her head, trembled and said: "You... you better leave, I’m fine. You..."
Hearing that Xuan Yue was fine, Ah Dai turned around like a scared rabbit and started running. However, he forgot that when he fell into the pool, his direction changed, and he had his eyes closed; as he turned, he ran towards Xuan Yue directly.
With Xuan Yue’s scream, Ah Dai hit her body directly and both of them fell into the pool. Ah Dai, in his panic, felt a handful of softness in his hand. Shocked, he was about to shout, but he swallowed a mouthful of cold spring water, which made him cough non-stop.
Xuan Yue was embarrassed. What Ah Dai had grabbed just now was her... She pushed Ah Dai away forcefully and yelled, "What... what are you doing?"
Ah Dai opened his eyes and struggled out of the pool, only to see Xuan Yue right in front of him. He yelled and turned to run. His heart was full of panic; he stumbled on a rock by the edge of the pool and fell into a thorn bush, scraping more than a dozen wounds on his body. But he didn’t care about the pain now and scrambled back to Yan Shi and Yan Li. His disheveled appearance startled the two of them.
"Brother, what happened? Why are you in such a state? What happened?" Yan Li asked with concern.
Ah Dai was panting heavily, his own heartbeat audible to his ears, and his body was slightly shaking. The soft sensation in his hands kept haunting him. From his childhood to the present, nothing had ever disturbed him as much as this.
Yan Shi signalled Yan Li with his eyes, hinting him to stop asking. Yan Shi pointed at Ah Dai’s bleeding nose and chuckled.
After Ah Dai ran off, Xuan Yue felt numb all over and couldn’t move. It took her a while to recover. Ah Dai’s hot palm on her... left her weak. She barely crawled back to the shore and didn’t feel like bathing anymore. She quickly summoned a clean dress from Phoenix’s Blood and hurriedly put it on.
