Chapter 1698: Chapter 207 Father-Son Battle_3

Hades flashed, the sky — the earth — moved —" The dreamy blue light suddenly shone brilliantly, as Hades flashed past Ah Dai in the boost of his black wings. The two exchanged positions in mid-air. Due to their speed, a clear ’ding’ was heard only after they completely stopped moving, and a massive shockwave erupted from their previous point of contact, immediately spreading to every corner of the realm, causing the divine and demonic barriers to tremble slightly. When Hades launched his attack, Ah Dai already raised his scythe, using its blade to dissolve Hades’ strike. In this first exchange, neither gained an advantage over the other. A thought stirred within Ah Dai’s heart, causing him to recall that sheepskin with strange writing in the Sword of Hades’ sheath. With his restored memory, he could recall the words on that sheepskin, which explained the origin of the Sword of Hades. The sword’s strength came from condensing nearly half of Hades’ power, forged from his heart’s blood and the bones from his wings. This imbued it with Hades’ evil blood, enabling it to brim with evil aura. The Sword of Hades is indeed formidable! It is a divine artifact superior to my Grim Reaper Scythe. It seems that, to defeat Hades today, I must fight desperately with all my might. With this in mind, Ah Dai unfurled his black wings and slowly turned around to face Hades. By now, Hades also turned to face him. "Very well, Mandun, you’ve become much stronger, indeed worthy as my opponent. Boy, regardless of who wins or loses today, this will be the greatest duel between the two races, divine and demonic, since the creation of heaven and earth. Hades flashed again, ghost — god — shock — " The evil aura increased noticeably, and the Sword of Hades unleashed tremendous might in Hades’ hand. The immense evil aura covered Ah Dai in an instant, accompanied by several dark blue beams stabbing towards him with formidable energy. Ah Dai’s eyes flashed with cold light. Grasping the Grim Reaper Scythe with both hands, he swung it with the power from his waist and back, drawing a massive arc of light in the air to meet Hades’ flash. The massive black light blade enveloped all the dark blue rays Hades’ flash brought forth, stunning explosions echoed as both Ah Dai and Hades were forced back. Their armors glowed, radiating nearly identical black light, though Ah Dai’s protective black light also held a tinge of dark gold.

"Hades Slash — Establish — Extinguish —" The gigantic blue light blade cleaved towards Ah Dai. He did not retreat but countered by gripping the Grim Reaper Scythe with both hands, drawing a black arc from bottom to top to meet the Nether Slash. Under the dazzling light, the energy on the armor of Ah Dai and Hades surged vigorously. With strength surpassing the god level, Ah Dai saw clearly the glowing symbols on the Sword of Hades as if it were one with Hades Vincent. Boom —, once again, they flew back from the impact, but this time Hades gave Ah Dai no time to catch his breath, "Hades Clone — Infinite — " Suddenly, Hades turned into countless clones rushing towards Ah Dai from all directions. Despite wearing the Sky God Armor, Ah Dai felt the immense energy of the Sword of Hades capable of ending his life. Now was the time to unleash all his energy. His eyes became as deep as Hades’, and recalling the Grim Reaper Scythe, Ah Dai’s body spun rapidly, "Grim — Reaper — Reap — Soul — Scatter — " The spinning Ah Dai resembled a monster full of sharp black blades, continuously shredding Hades’ attacking clones, causing intense energy bursts in the air. The colossal shockwaves kept assaulting the barriers set by the divine and demonic races, forcing them to remain fully alert, fearing the penetration of these overwhelming shockwaves. Splitting apart, Ah Dai and Hades appeared on opposite sides at the center of the realm, both panting slightly. Deep marks appeared on Ah Dai’s right shoulder armor, while a crossed mark marred Hades Vincent’s waist armor. In the air, both were at a stalemate, channeling their power to neutralize the energy invading their bodies. From this attack, it seemed Ah Dai sustained two more hits than Hades, but Ah Dai clearly neutralized the Sword of Hades’ evil aura faster than Hades Vincent neutralized his divine power. Therefore, despite Ah Dai being slightly more injured, both recovered almost simultaneously.

Hades wore a frosty expression on his sinister face, gripping the Sword of Hades’ hilt and tip between his thumb and index finger. He clearly understood that the Grim Reaper Mandun before him now stood on par with him, and even if he won today, it might come at a heavy cost.

There was no trace of emotion in Ah Dai’s eyes; his focus, energy, and spirit were entirely invested in the Grim Reaper Scythe he held. The immense black divine power continued to rise with his concentration, and the intense murderous intent in his eyes was filled with domination.

"It seems like history is about to repeat itself. Kid, even if it means not eradicating the Divine Clan today, I will ensure you are destroyed here. I won’t repeat the same mistake as last time."

Ah Dai remained unfazed by Hades’ cold killing intent, calmly responding, "Then bring it on, let’s see if you have the ability to bury me here." Almost simultaneously, their auras surged, and after the earlier probing, the real showdown was about to begin.
