Chapter 1696: Chapter 207: Father and Son Battle

Sylvia suddenly noticed with surprise that a golden light emerged from Ah Dai’s lower abdomen, standing nine inches tall, made entirely of pure energy. The light gradually became distinct, revealing Ah Dai’s Golden Body. Ah Dai kept his eyes closed, chanting in a deep voice, "Return, my Armor of Death, in the name of the Grim Reaper, I command you, merge." Black light appeared again, swirling rapidly around Ah Dai’s body. The golden light that emanated from his body suddenly gleamed brightly, only to be swallowed by the black light. A hint of pain crossed Ah Dai’s brow, as if he was struggling with something. Finally, after nearly ten minutes, his brows relaxed again, and with a soft clang, a thick chest plate appeared on his chest. Immediately after, countless small pieces of armor assembled in the air, one after another, embedding themselves into Ah Dai’s perfect form—this was the Armor of Death, Ah Dai’s original armor—no, it should be said, Grim Reaper Mandun’s original armor. This was a full-body armor, with a crescent-shaped helmet as its most crucial part, also known as the Trace of Time in the spell of the Divine King earlier, and this armor had another name, Yao Tian Armor. The armor was composed of small pieces of energy, all meticulously crafted by Ah Dai’s heartpower in the Divine Realm. The entire armor was filled with his Power of Death. The massive shoulder armor extended thirty centimeters on each side, layered in three levels. When the armor was fully equipped, two enormous wings emerged from Ah Dai’s back, resembling those of an angel from the Divine Realm but much larger. The wings folded behind him, almost concealing his entire body, and strangely, these wide wings were black. Seeing the emergence of these Wings of Death, Sylvia knew it was too late to say anything now; Ah Dai had reverted to being Grim Reaper Mandun. Though he was her son, Sylvia always felt there was a deep rift between them, stemming from his origins.

With the armor fully donned, Ah Dai shouted, absorbing all the surrounding black light into his body. The powerful divine force caused God Siya to stumble a few steps forward before steadying herself. She distinctly felt that Ah Dai’s divine power had reached an unprecedented height. The black light completely vanished, and Sylvia noticed that the edges of each piece of armor on Ah Dai’s original Black Armor of Death had turned golden, unlike before.

Ah Dai slowly opened his eyes, which were like stars, and said softly, "I, Grim Reaper Mandun, am revived. Come, my darling." With a gesture in the void, a massive rift appeared in the center of the rainbow cloud, and a long weapon drifted down from it, slowly landing in Ah Dai’s hand. It was a scythe, the Grim Reaper Scythe. On the surface, this black weapon seemed unremarkable, about three meters long, with a massive scythe blade measuring a meter and a half at the front. Inlaid across the Grim Reaper Scythe were symbols identical to the divine ones on Ah Dai’s brow.

Grasping his weapon, Ah Dai felt an unprecedented power—he was finally fully restored, at his peak state from the battle with Hades, and thanks to the diligent cultivation energy from the Human world, his skill level had elevated further. It wasn’t a simple addition but a fusion of power, blending the vast energies of the divine, demonic, and human realms.

"Mom, I’m leaving. Stay here and refine yourself. I believe that even facing Hades Vincent, I may not necessarily fail. I am the Grim Reaper, the strongest Grim Reaper." With a sudden flash of black light, Ah Dai vanished in God Siya’s domain. Sylvia trembled slightly, golden tears flowed once more, "My child, take care! I—I truly don’t know what to do, this is all my sin, the consequence of my own doing."

Hades Vincent had been trapped in the domain for half a day. After his initial anger, he gradually discovered the mystery of this Barrier. It was an absolute Barrier—like the Absolute Defense of the Ring of Guardian, absolutely impenetrable. This meant not only could one not attack outward from within, but it was also impossible to attack inward from outside. Such a powerful barrier could not be formed by any ordinary Divine Artifact; judging from the energy perception, this Absolute Defense Barrier was likely invoked by God Siya’s divine energy. Sustaining such an absolute barrier required an unfathomable amount of energy, even for Sylvia, she must have exhausted a considerable amount of her magic power. Vincent was somewhat puzzled; wasn’t she sipping poison to quench her thirst? This Barrier could not last long; once it disappeared, the already weaker Divine Clan would be even less of a match for him. With this in mind, Vincent stopped the Demon Lords still attacking the Barrier and waited calmly, observing the situation unfold. His judgment was correct; as time passed, the energy of the Barrier weakened progressively. The Divine Clan outside the Rainbow Barrier showed anxious expressions, continuously gathering divine energy, as if ready to launch an attack the moment the Barrier disappeared. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Hades Vincent said coldly, "Everyone, be ready; once the Barrier disappears, annihilate the Divine Clan without leaving anyone."
