Chapter 1683: Chapter 204: Demon Realm Invasion

The fierce battle at the mountainside had reached a fever pitch. Under the full assault of the human coalition, the dark alien races were in a steady retreat. Except for the Moon King, Wing King, and the Dwarf King who had been stripped of his powers, all of the Twelve Heavenly Kings had perished. The number of dark-alien races had sharply diminished to half of what it was initially. Meanwhile, the human heavy armored soldiers had surged forward. Already superior in strength, with the advantage in numbers, the human coalition advanced with overwhelming momentum. Forced to preserve their race from extinction, the Wing King and Dwarf King surrendered one after another, while the Moon King was slain by the combined efforts of Xi Wen and Xuan Yuan. The dark alien races were thoroughly crushed. Xi Wen left a few junior disciples in charge of binding the surrendering dark alien races with the human coalition, while he hurried toward the summit alongside the Pope, three Red Robe Priests, three Sword Saints, and leaders from various human factions. At that moment, Ah Dai and Xuan Yue were just climbing to the summit after repelling Nazgul.

At the base of the main peak, Sheng Xie and Harbank continuously attacked each other. Both of these mighty giant dragons were heavily injured, their scales constantly shedding as they glared at each other, preparing for the next round of attacks. Between them, it had reached a fight-to-the-death scenario. As time passed, Sheng Xie gradually gained control over his new body, slowly beginning to gain the upper hand—but only slightly, as he could not destroy the Evil Dragon, Haralbink, in a short time. Driven by intense hatred, Sheng Xie’s aura grew more and more imposing, while Harbank began to show signs of discouragement. At that moment, suddenly, a massive column of blood light shot up from the main peak of the Death Mountain Range, piercing the sky as though aimed at the blood-red sun. Dark clouds gathered quickly over the entire Death Mountain Range, with thunderous roars constantly reverberating in the air filled with a menacing, evil aura.

The Evil Dragon Haralbink trembled all over and laughed loudly, "Good, good, it’s finally succeeded. Boy, you and the humans all have only one outcome, and that is annihilation. The entrance to the Demon Realm has opened; you can just wait for death." With that, he recklessly charged forward, launching another attack on Sheng Xie. Sheng Xie, though shocked, had no time to ponder amid Haralbink’s assault. He braced himself, focusing on the battle, as the two giant dragons rolled once again in the sky above. Neither of them noticed that on the ground not far away, Xiao Gu, who had earlier been beaten to the point of breaking bones and tendons by Haralbink, was slowly crawling up, his body constantly recovering. His eyes, directed at Haralbink, flickered with resentful gleams.

Indeed, Haralbink was right: Ah Dai and the others were indeed a step too late. Upon reaching the summit of the main peak of the Death Mountain Range, Ah Dai immediately noticed the huge altar at the center of the summit. Surrounding the altar were four figures cloaked entirely in black, their appearance reminiscent of the day the lord ambushed him. And atop the altar sat another hooded figure, continuously chanting spells rapidly. On the hexagrams of the altar were six blood-red symbols, each imbued with a faint golden light. Just as Ah Dai was about to make a move, the black-robed man on the altar suddenly shouted loudly; his hands clasped together, summoning a burst of red mist that instantly enveloped the entire altar. The last bit of golden glow on the hexagramal symbols vanished completely as the black-robed man leaped into the air, shouting, "Open, the gate to the Demon Realm."

Alarmed, Ah Dai released Xuan Yue’s small hand and charged towards the altar at full speed. As he was about to reach the altar, it suddenly erupted with a strong blood light, surpassing even the evil aura of the Sword of Hades that burst forth, rushing toward him. Desperately, Ah Dai swung the Sumeru Sword in his hand to strike at the blood-red pillar of light. At the instant the golden glow and the blood pillar collided, an irresistible force surged, sending his body flying backward. The evil aura tracked his meridians, seeming to try to take over his body. With all his effort, Ah Dai stimulated the True Qi within him to expel the evil force outside his body. His heart felt exceptionally heavy; he knew, in the end, he was still a step too late—the door to the Demon Realm had already been opened. The black-robed man who had been chanting spells on the altar laughed heartily. "It’s finally successful, a millennium’s effort has succeeded. Oh, great Netherworld God! Please descend into the world and bring darkness to this world, so that the ignorant and foolish humans may be utterly obliterated."

Xuan Yue supported Ah Dai’s body, angrily shouting, "Are you the Head of the Dark Saint Church?"

The black-robed man sneered coldly and said, "That’s right. I am the Head of the Dark Saint Church. The entrance to the Demon Realm is already open. No one can stop the descent of the Netherworld God. Just wait for death."

Ah Dai gazed deeply at Xuan Yue, resolutely transmitting his thoughts, "Yue Yue, protect me. The entrance to the Demon Realm has just opened; we might still have a chance." After saying this, he soared up, the Sumeru Sword in his hand slashing toward the Head of the Dark Saint Church and the four elders. The surge of golden light was suddenly overwhelming, as Ah Dai’s solid battle aura at its peak was so formidable.

The Head of the Dark Saint Church was startled in his heart; he knew that this human in front of him had passed through both his master’s and the Evil Dragon Haralbink’s barriers. His cultivation was beyond what he could contend against. Without hesitation, his body twisted violently as if boneless, floating upward with the sword light from the Sumeru Sword. Under the intense attack of the sword light, his black robe was completely reduced to ashes. Enveloped in the black robe was actually a mass of black smoke very similar to Nazgul’s, which wafted in the air, significantly thinning after receiving Ah Dai’s blow.
