Chapter 1671: Chapter 201 - Immortal Evil Witch King_3
The golden, blue, red, and green colored lights, after destroying the enemies in front of them, converged together and expanded instantly in midair, like a giant net, covering the black fog. Ah Dai and the three others were of one mind; their goal was to leave no chance for the Nazgul to escape. The colored lights were filled with the enormous battle aura of the four Sword Saints, and the black fog seemed to sense the danger, twisting violently. The speed of the battle aura’s advance was extremely fast, and in the blink of an eye, it had completed the encirclement, successfully trapping the black fog at the center. Ah Dai and the others simultaneously channeled their energy, their powerful battle aura constantly shrinking and pressing inward.
When the battle aura compressed the black fog to a volume of five square meters, it could no longer shrink inward. The ethereal voice reappeared: "Well, it seems I’ve underestimated you. To be able to use energy to such a degree, you humans are already approaching the power of gods and demons. But, have you forgotten? I am the Immortal Evil Witch King, eternally undying, with no energy that can trap me. Watch closely, young ones."
The black light suddenly shone brightly, and Ah Dai and the others simultaneously felt the immense tension from the black fog. Before they could react, the black fog had already expanded to a volume of about ten square meters. A sharp black light struck fiercely at the position Harry was responsible for defending. The black light clashed with Harry’s Green Lotus Battle Aura, producing a sharp friction sound. Harry was startled, and quickly spurred the Green Lotus beneath his feet to soar, transforming into countless lotus petal-like battle aura which charged at his defensive position. However, he was ultimately a step too late; that sharp black light had a remarkably strong impact force. With a puff, the Green Lotus Battle Aura developed a breach, and in the instant this tiny breach appeared, all the black fog flew out, escaping the encirclement of the four Sword Saints.
Ah Dai had intended to support Harry, but everything happened too quickly. By the time he had the thought, the black fog had already broken through. Under the pull of the energy, Harry’s face changed, clearly having suffered a minor internal injury. Ah Dai realized that their nearly successful effort would have been a triumph if the other three Sword Saints’ battle aura were similar to his own in Sacred Aura, and if they all possessed the strength of the Sumeru Sword, it might have shattered Nazgul’s undying legend. But now, it was too late to say anything; Nazgul had already broken out.
Nazgul did not give the four Sword Saints another chance to encircle it. The black fog suddenly and infinitely expanded, turning instantly into a massive black cloud beyond the reach of battle aura. Nazgul no longer summoned Undead Creatures to attack; nine strands of black fog drifted from the black cloud towards the nine people.
The Pope and the four Red Robe Priests had already been chanting their magic, ready to support Ah Dai and the others at any moment. But this sudden change caught them slightly off guard, and in that fleeting moment of hesitation, the nine strands of black fog wrapped around their bodies like lightning. This was, indeed, the true skill of Nazgul, the Dark Erosion from the Demon Realm. The black fog clung to the nine like bone on flesh. Its dense stickiness shocked Ah Dai and the others. These were humanity’s finest experts, and in the face of danger, they simultaneously unleashed their protective energy, blocking the black fog from outside. Yet, the black fog did not hasten to attack them; it merely enveloped their bodies entirely. Ah Dai tried expanding his Vitality Battle Aura outward; unexpectedly, it succeeded with ease, the black fog around him instantly expanding, greatly increasing his range of motion. A cold light flickered in Ah Dai’s eyes as the Sumeru Sword reformed in his hands. Without hesitation, he struck fiercely at the black fog in front of him.
At the moment of contact between the Sumeru Sword and the black fog, Ah Dai was stunned to discover that the black fog seemingly contained no energy at all. The golden sword light flashed across, yet it caused the fog no harm. The light vanished into the sky, disappearing into the black cloud, which only rippled slightly before returning to stillness. The black fog continued to envelop Ah Dai’s body. As he swung his sword, it receded back to its original range. Ah Dai clearly saw his protective True Qi being eroded by the black fog, with the Defense Shield shrinking continuously.
The situation was the same with the others. Each tried their strongest attack against the black fog, but to no avail. Besides perpetually corroding their protective energy, the black fog seemed unaffected.
"Don’t waste your efforts; my Dark Magic does not belong to this realm. Thinking of opposing me with your cultivation is nearly impossible. Now, you have two choices: one, swear allegiance to our great Lord of the Netherworld. The other, await destruction." Nazgul’s voice was icy and devoid of emotion. Despite having the advantage, his tone remained emotionless. A calm enemy is always the most terrifying, and a chill had already risen in Ah Dai’s heart.
As everyone was at a loss for what to do, a gentle voice sounded in Ah Dai’s ear, "Dear one, you are really foolish! This assault by Nazgul is not energy-based but a spiritual attack, and you have all been deceived. These black fogs are refined from souls, and any energy form of attack has no effect on them. Only pure spiritual power can dispel your current crisis."
