Chapter 1623: Chapter 191: Before the Final Battle
Xuan Yue smiled and said, "He’s talking to the Elf Queen Aunt about our plan to eliminate the Church of the Dark Saint. Seeing that you haven’t come over for a while, I got a bit anxious, so I came out to meet you. You guys walk really slow! We’ve been here for over two hours."
Di Ya and Olivia looked at each other, and both said in unison, "Has it been that long?" After speaking, both of them blushed and lowered their heads.
Xuan Yue knew they had mutual feelings for each other and couldn’t help but feel secretly pleased. She laughed and said, "Whether or not you should ask yourselves. Alright, Brother Vila, you take Sister Di Ya for a walk around. I’m going to the Elf ancient tree to find Ah Dai." To avoid further embarrassment, Di Ya quickly said, "Sister Xuan Yue, I’ll go with you, take me along!"
Xuan Yue floated in the air and said, "Let Brother Vila take you; he can handle it." Then, she raised a golden light and headed towards the Elf ancient tree.
Di Ya turned her head to Olivia and asked in amazement, "You can fly too? I thought only Ah Dai and Xuan Yue had that ability."
Olivia smiled confidently and said, "Di Ya, don’t forget, I’m a Wind Magician! Controlling wind energy is my specialty. Free wind elements! Please grant me your flowing energy. Let’s fly." The gentle breeze blew, and Olivia’s body slowly floated up, moving the green magic robe he wore, giving off an ethereal feel. He smiled slightly and extended his hand to Di Ya, slightly bowing as he made the most standard gentleman’s gesture, saying, "May I hold your hand, Miss Di Ya?"
Seeing the sunshine-like smile on Olivia’s face, Di Ya instinctively offered her hand. Olivia grasped her slender, soft hand, and his heart fluttered. He silently recited the spell, and under the flickering green light, a gentle wind also lifted Di Ya off the ground. The feeling of being wrapped in Wind Magic was completely different from being enveloped in Xuan Yue’s Divine Energy. In the Divine Energy, it felt no different from being on the ground; if one didn’t know they were in the air, there would be no particular sensation. Olivia’s Wind Magic, however, was different; Di Ya could clearly feel herself rising with the air currents, a novel feeling stirring something unusual in her heart. Under Olivia’s guidance, their bodies gently floated upward; the breeze softly moved, and even though the air currents occasionally fluctuated, their flight was exceptionally stable. Without realizing it, the scenery beneath them flowed by, and they had arrived at the Elf ancient tree in the center of the Elf Lake. The passageway leading to the treehouse was open, Olivia smiled and said, "Di Ya, this is the core domain of the Elf Clan. Their queen resides here."
Di Ya nodded and said, "Vila, your Wind Magic is indeed exquisite! I’ve seen other Wind Magicians before, but you’re the first with flight abilities."
Olivia could clearly sense Di Ya’s growing affection for him and felt a joy in his heart. He gently led her directly to the platform in front of the treehouse. A gentle voice called out, "Welcome, Di Ya, Clan Leader of the Yajin Tribe." The door opened, and the radiant form of the Elf Queen appeared before Di Ya. Feeling the gentle energy from the queen, Di Ya bowed and said, "Are you the Elf Queen? Greetings from Di Ya." The Elf Queen smiled and said, "No need for formality, Clan Leader, please come inside."
Inside the treehouse, Ah Dai and Xuan Yue looked at Olivia and Di Ya with implied understanding in their eyes, causing both of them to blush again. The Elf Queen invited them to sit down and turned around, saying, "Ah Dai, today I will gather the clan members above the rank of Elf Envoy. Whenever the papal troops are ready to act, we will go then."
Ah Dai nodded and said, "I discussed it with His Eminence the Pope on the way. The Death Mountain Range is, after all, the most dangerous place on the continent. Proceeding cautiously is the best strategy. We must first establish a base on the outskirts of the mountain range that can advance or retreat, then push into the mountains, gradually consuming the Undead Creatures’ territory to ultimately eliminate the Church of the Dark Saint. Actions should begin tomorrow, with simultaneous base building and troop resting."
The Elf Queen said, "Then tomorrow morning, I will lead people directly to the entrance you last entered in the Death Mountain Range, where we will meet and establish a simple base. We can offer some help. Will you rest here or return?"
Ah Dai said, "As this is crucial, we must quickly return to report to His Eminence the Pope, and we will leave now."
The Elf Queen smiled and said, "Alright then, I won’t keep you. Please send my regards to His Eminence the Pope. See you tomorrow."
Ah Dai took Xuan Yue’s small hand and said to Olivia, "Vila, Yue Yue and I will leave first to report this matter to His Eminence the Pope. You take Clan Leader Di Ya with you. How about it?"
Olivia couldn’t wait to be alone with Di Ya, glanced at her and saw she did not object, promptly agreed. The Elf Queen personally saw them off to the shores of Elf Lake, and Ah Dai activated the True Qi within his body, taking Xuan Yue and soaring high toward the direction of the papal army. Olivia and Di Ya exchanged a glance, and since they had to fly a longer distance, to ensure safety, he took out his Staff of Wind God, took Di Ya and soared high, following the direction where Ah Dai and Xuan Yue disappeared.
