Chapter 1571: Chapter 179: Polar Undead Spiders_5

Xuan Yue giggled and said, "You’re so annoying, hurry up and tell me. Do I have to agree to everything you say? What if you don’t want me anymore?"

Ah Dai replied, "How could I not want you? In this world, you’re the most important treasure to me, and I will never, ever separate from you. Even a hundred years from now, when you may be old and wrinkled, my love for you will never change."

Listening to Ah Dai’s resolute and heartfelt words, Xuan Yue couldn’t help but be enchanted. She reached out to caress Ah Dai’s rugged face and said, "Yue Yue loves you deeply too! Go on, I’ll agree to your request."

Ah Dai hesitated for a moment and said, "If we encounter enemies we can’t withstand within the Death Mountain Range, they might not give us the chance to use the Space Relocation Spell and might even affect the success rate of the Space Teleportation Spell. At that time, I hope you consider the greater good and immediately lead everyone out of there. Let me hold off the enemy’s attack. I believe that even a Hundred-Meter Bone Dragon wouldn’t be able to defeat me quickly. Yue Yue, promise me, your safety and that of your friends are the most important to me."

Xuan Yue’s delicate body trembled, and she suddenly sat up from Ah Dai’s embrace. Her eyes reddened as she looked at Ah Dai and said, "No, I won’t agree. Everything else is negotiable, but I absolutely won’t agree to this."

"Yue Yue, please don’t get upset, listen to me. In an extremely critical situation, this is the only way to ensure that we survive. Only when you’re safe can I be free of worry! Moreover, this concerns not only you but also our companions traveling with us. Even if you’re indifferent to your own life, would you want them to die alongside us? Promise me, in such a situation, you must leave first. Rest assured, with my speed, when I exert myself fully, no creature will be able to catch up, and the continuous flow of True Qi should support my escape back. Dear Yue Yue, this is all for everyone’s sake!"

Xuan Yue felt a surge of apprehension in her heart, and listening to Ah Dai’s words, she seemed to have an ominous premonition. She shook her head forcefully, and glistening tears flowed like a broken kite string. She suddenly threw herself into Ah Dai’s embrace, hugging his neck tightly and murmuring, "No, no, I won’t ever be willing to leave you, no matter the time!"

Ah Dai gently stroked Xuan Yue’s beautiful hair and said softly, "This is merely speculation about what might happen; it hasn’t necessarily occurred, so you needn’t be too anxious. We’ll be cautious, and unless absolutely necessary, I won’t ask you to leave first. How could I bear to part with you? Even if it’s only temporary."

"It will never happen; it will never happen..." The day’s fatigue and mental strain had exhausted Xuan Yue, and she gradually fell asleep in Ah Dai’s warm embrace. Ah Dai looked at Xuan Yue’s exquisite sleeping face and felt a warmth in his heart; having such a wife brought him contentment. He must conquer the Death Mountain Range, for humanity’s sake, and for the peaceful and serene life he wished to have with Yue Yue in the future. For now, all he could do was give his utmost effort. In the idyllic beauty by Elf Lake that resembled a paradise, Ah Dai slowly closed his eyes.

As dawn broke, a swift gray figure appeared in the sky above the perimeter of the Death Mountain Range, maintaining a fast pace heading deep into the range. This black figure was Sheng Xie, carrying Ah Dai, Xuan Yue, Kino, and Olivia on its back. To prevent the leakage of vital energy, Olivia used Wind Magic to completely envelop Sheng Xie’s body, not only enhancing its speed but making it fly like a gust of wind. With a tense and excited mood, they successfully traversed the territory of the Bone Birds and Skeletons without encountering any obstacles. Looking down from three thousand meters above, the Death Mountain Range was covered in large swathes of gray clouds, making it impossible to see what lay inside.
