Chapter 1551: Chapter 175 Northern Sword Saint_3

From the Holy Church to the Death Mountain Range, the journey required crossing the entire territory of the Yalian Tribe. In order to gain more time, everyone traveled at a swift pace, covering nearly a thousand miles in a day. As night began to fall over the vast prairies of the Yalian territory, they decided to stop and rest for the night before continuing their journey. The prairie was expansive, with significant temperature differences between morning and night, especially in November. The chill wind brought a coldness that seeped into their bones.

Ah Dai scratched his head, looked around, and said, "I’m sorry, I forgot one thing. Traveling on the prairie without tents is a big mistake! It will probably be even colder tonight."

Olivia nodded and said, "Yes! The Yalian prairie is so vast and without any shelter, tonight might be hard to endure. We shouldn’t have rushed; we should have rested in the tribe we passed earlier." Kino shrugged, "What’s the use of saying that now? We’ve already traveled several hundred miles; are we supposed to go back?"

Yan Shi thought for a moment and said, "How about this? Let’s dig a big hole in the ground and rest in it. At least it can block some of the cold wind."

Xuan Yue shook her head and said, "That’s not a good idea. Even if it blocks the wind, the temperature won’t change. We might as well huddle together for warmth; it’s just one night anyway. With our cultivation, it shouldn’t be a big problem. At worst, we can take turns keeping watch, using Dou Qi or magic to resist the cold winds."

Ah Dai said, "Let me handle it then; everyone is tired after traveling all day. I’ll set up a barrier with my Sheng Sheng True Qi, so you all can rest well. Sheng Sheng True Qi is inexhaustible and shouldn’t deplete much." As he spoke, he suddenly noticed that some of them were not worried, specifically the Elf Clan led by the Elf Princess. They stood there smiling quietly.

Zhuo Yun walked up to Ah Dai, smiling. "No need for everyone to worry, and Ah Dai, you don’t need to set up a barrier either. Have you forgotten the characteristics of our Elf Clan’s magic? We are the ones closest to nature." Yan Shi suddenly realized, "Ah, that’s right! Why didn’t I think of that? But here, can you use magic to create tree houses like those in the Elf City?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Upon hearing Yan Shi’s words, everyone suddenly realized and focused their gaze on the group from the Elf Clan. The Grand Elf Envoy, Audi, floated forward, saying, "The prairie is one of the most vibrant places on the continent. Here, our Magic of Nature can be quite effective. Watch this." Guided by him, the elves adept in magic soared into the air, chanting incomprehensible Elf spells. Green light emanated from them, and they formed a circle. After a while, a ten-meter diameter, circular green halo appeared. Under Audi’s direction, the green halo descended onto the prairie. Within the halo’s range, under the influence of the Elf Clan’s Magic of Nature, the green grass grew wildly. The countless blades of grass intertwined and, in a short while, formed sturdy vines. Under Audi’s command, a house covering dozens of square meters, woven from green grass, appeared.

Xuan Yue marveled, "Elf Magic is truly amazing! It’s something no other magic can compare to. Finally, we have a place to stay tonight."

Since Ah Dai’s group, together with the Elf Clan, numbered more than twenty people, the elf envoys created five such houses before stopping. These five houses were built close to each other, and due to the intertwining blades of grass, they appeared incredibly sturdy, showing no signs of shaking even under the blowing wind.

Audi said, "Alright, with a place to stay, everyone can rest assured. These tree houses made of grass are quite solid. I’ve also placed a barrier around them for reinforcement, so they won’t be blown away even by strong night winds. Everyone should have some dry rations and then rest. We must continue our journey tomorrow." With that, he guided the Elf Clan into two of the grass houses, leaving the other three for Ah Dai and his companions.

Ah Dai and the eight others divided themselves: Ah Dai, Xuan Yue, and Olivia shared one house; the Yan Shi brothers and Zhuo Yun shared another; while Kino and Yue Ji shared the last.

"No way, I’m not staying with that blockhead," Yue Ji complained.

Xuan Yue chuckled, "Blockhead? That nickname suits Ah Dai well! Sister Yue Ji, you don’t want to stay with Kino? Are you feeling shy?"

Yue Ji blushed and muttered, "I haven’t married him; how can I stay alone with him? Yue Yue, let’s stay together. Let the three guys share one room."

Xuan Yue turned to gaze at Ah Dai, giving him an inquisitive look. Reluctant to part from her, Ah Dai had no choice but to nod in agreement as he was the leader of the group. He said helplessly, "Alright, let Kino switch with Yue Yue. Everyone should rest early. There might be wild beasts on the prairie, so stay alert while resting to prevent surprises."

The night deepened, and after finishing their dry rations, everyone rested. Ah Dai sat cross-legged in his tree house. To protect everyone’s safety, he didn’t enter a meditative state but just sat there using his will to regulate the abundant Sheng Sheng True Qi within him, spreading his Spiritual sense to its maximum range to monitor the surroundings of the house. He clearly heard the elves’ snores and the sound of the wind rustling the grass, allowing his mind to settle into a calm state. After a day’s journey, he was mentally fatigued, and his consciousness began to blur. Just as he was about to drift into slumber, an immensely powerful presence abruptly intruded into his Spiritual sense range. Startled, Ah Dai abruptly opened his eyes, focusing his will on the direction where the powerful presence emerged. It approached with an incredible speed. Not knowing whether it was friend or foe, Ah Dai cautiously floated out of the tree house, lifted by his Sheng Sheng True Qi, alighting on the roof, and stared intently in the direction of that formidable presence.
