Chapter 1543: Chapter 173: Reconciliation_5

Xuan Yue nestled in Ah Dai’s arms and poked his forehead with her index finger, saying with a laugh, "You’re dreaming, aren’t you? Did you forget what I told you yesterday? I bet Grandpa is here because of that."

Ah Dai said somewhat disappointedly, "So the Pope isn’t in a hurry to marry you off to me after all!"

Xuan Yue blushed and said bashfully, "You’re so annoying! You weren’t like this before, what happened now..."

"I’m so in love with you!" Ah Dai chuckled and said, "It’s because I love you that I’m eager to marry you. Come on, let’s go now. I really want to resolve the Dark Forces soon, then no one will ever bother us again." The two left the room and headed straight for the Temple of Light. Along the way, Ah Dai insisted on holding Xuan Yue’s hand, refusing to let her go, which drew sideways glances from quite a few clergy members.

Xuan Yue murmured with her head lowered, "You’re so annoying, let go of me, look, so many people are watching."

"No, you’re mine, why should I be afraid to hold your hand? Let them watch. I don’t care what others think of me."

In no time, they reached the Temple of Light. Outside the temple, ten Judges of Light stood guard. The leader, upon seeing Ah Dai, couldn’t help but sneer and blocked their path.

Xuan Yue was taken aback and said, "Judge Si Tu, what are you doing?"

The Judge of Light addressed as Si Tu by Xuan Yue said coldly, "Priest, you may enter, but he cannot. This is the fundamental sanctum of the clerical authority."

Xuan Yue said angrily, "The Pope asked me to bring him here. He is a distinguished guest of the clerical authority, why can’t he enter? Step aside, that’s an order." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Si Tu snorted coldly, "An order? What right do you have to order me? You caused great harm to Brother Bu Yi, and now you’re acting all high and mighty as a Red Robe Priest in front of me. You adulterous pair, the Sky God will not forgive you." Upon hearing his words, Xuan Yue flew into a rage and was about to charge forward to argue but was held back by Ah Dai.

Ah Dai’s eyes flashed with a cold gleam, and he said indifferently, "It’s okay for you to insult me, but I will never allow you to insult Yue Yue. Strike your right shoulder." As soon as he finished speaking, a streak of silver light rushed towards Si Tu.

Upon hearing Ah Dai declare the target of his attack, Si Tu instinctively raised a hand to block it. A golden light suddenly flashed, and a surge of martial energy met Ah Dai’s attack. With a light popping sound, the solidified True Qi of the sixth transformation easily pierced through his defense, accurately hitting his shoulder. Ah Dai showed mercy and did not truly harm him, merely sealing the bloodline in his shoulder. Si Tu’s right arm immediately hung limp. Si Tu, filled with shock and anger, shouted, "I’ll fight you to the death," and pushed his energy to the limit, charging fiercely at Ah Dai.

How could Ah Dai take him seriously? With a casual wave of his hand, a cascade of silver threads fluttered out, instantly dispelling his attack and binding his body tightly. The surrounding other Judges of Light glared angrily at Ah Dai, ready to pounce at any moment. Ah Dai said coldly, "I’m sorry for what happened to the Ba Bu Yi family, it wasn’t what I wanted to see. Let me make it clear: Yue Yue never loved Ba Bu Yi. Although what happened to the Ba Bu Yi family was because of us, there’s more to it than meets the eye. I hope you won’t pursue this any further. If you want to challenge me, train your skills to a certain level first. For the sake of the Pope, I’ll spare Si Tu this time. If I hear anyone insult Yue Yue again, don’t blame me for being merciless. You’ve heard of the Grim Reaper terrorizing the Empire of Sunset City, right? That ruthless Demon King is me. Don’t let the Grim Reaper visit you." With that, he flicked Si Tu away and took Xuan Yue’s small hand, walking into the Temple of Light. Deterred by the divine power Ah Dai demonstrated in subduing Si Tu with a single move, the other Judges of Light dared not provoke him further.
