Chapter 1502: Chapter 164 Harry’s Story_5

Sensing the disappearance of Ah Dai’s aura, Harry reappeared in the courtyard. A faint smile graced his aged face. "Child, I believe... you will understand."

The sound of wind roared incessantly in his ears. Ah Dai kept murmuring the six words Harry had told him. Encased in a white glow, his body shot through the sky like a falling star. He did not deliberately seek speed, yet the two stories told by the Western Swordsman, Harry, echoed repeatedly in his mind. He had no idea how much time had passed before the scenery in front of him suddenly changed, and he stopped instinctively.

Before him stood a massive city. The walls towered over thirty meters high, constructed entirely of monolithic stones. A moat, roughly twenty meters wide, lay before the city. The drawbridge connecting both banks had been raised, and in the darkness of the night, the scene exuded a tranquil stillness. Above the expansive city gate in the center of the walls hung a high-mounted stone plaque, on which three grand characters were written in the script of the Holy Church—City of Light.

The City of Light? Am I really at the City of Light? Hak Village wasn’t far from the City of Light, and unknowingly, Ah Dai had already arrived in the capital of the Province of Light. Looking at the familiar city walls, Ah Dai couldn’t help but recall Chairman Kary of the Mage Guild, City Lord Aldos, and all the events that had happened here before. It was in this city that he had subdued the Bone Dragon. Thinking back now, those attackers who came to ambush the Mage Guild back then must have belonged to the Dark Forces. Since I’m already here, I might as well enter the city and take a look.

Activating his Liquid life essence, Ah Dai soared high into the air and entered the city just as he had done when arriving at Mica City. While it was quiet outside the city, it was still early evening, and the streets of the City of Light remained bustling. However, all Ah Dai wanted now was to find a quiet place to reflect deeply on Harry’s words. Thus, he found an inn and checked in. After instructing the inn’s servant not to disturb him, he entered his room.

The inn’s room was impeccably clean. Sitting cross-legged on the bed, Ah Dai took out portraits of Bing and the young girl, placing them before him. Glancing at Bing, then at the young girl, he muttered softly, "Can you tell me what I should do now? Bing, young lady, are your souls in another world as happy as Uncle Harry said? Surely, you must be. You endured so much suffering on this continent. Even if the Sky God is cruel, he wouldn’t bear to see your pain continue. I’ve already avenged you. Your souls can now live peacefully in that other world." With a faint sadness, Ah Dai closed his eyes and entered a meditative state. He needed to adjust his energy to its peak condition. He knew that only when he was at his best could his mind be clear enough to understand everything.

Under Ah Dai’s control, his Golden Body began to glow. Ever since he cultivated together with Xi Wen and the others to reach the seventh stage of the Liquid life essence transformation, Ah Dai had not had a proper session of training. At this moment, as he deliberately activated the life essence within him, he immediately felt a vast emptiness in his body. The once-liquid life essence had become even more concentrated, leaving more space within him. A surge of joy rose in his heart—this meant that his strength could improve further. As long as he replenished the liquid life essence within him, he could reach the realm his grandmaster, the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang, had achieved. As he entertained this thought, Ah Dai began to guide the waves of energy circulating through his body. However, because the Liquid life essence was now so highly condensed, replenishing it was incredibly slow; every cycle only marginally increased the essence. But Ah Dai was not in a hurry. Right now, what he desired most was a sense of inner solace. Cultivating just so happened to fulfill this longing.
