Chapter 1478: Chapter 159: The Rebirth of Mie Feng_5

Ah Dai glanced at Mie Feng, still asleep nearby, and nodded with satisfaction. He said, "Her meridians have already been successfully mended by me. Other than being a little weak, she shouldn’t have any major issues now. Thank you, both Masters. Without your selfless support, I wouldn’t have been able to save Mie Feng’s life."

Liao Wen smiled and said, "We’re all family. What is there to thank for? This place is very close to Sunset City, so we’d better leave quickly. Let’s find a quieter place for Miss Mie Feng to recuperate."

"Alright, then let’s leave now." Ah Dai carried Mie Feng’s delicate body, and the group of seven sped off toward the north. The improvement in Ah Dai’s martial prowess gave him a brand-new sensation—as if anything he imagined in his mind, his body could effortlessly achieve. Even a slight release of his power resulted in massive effects.

After half a day’s journey, the group arrived at Ram City in the northwest of Sun Cold Province. Since Mie Feng’s injuries had not fully healed, they found a peaceful inn to settle down. On the way, Ah Dai recounted the details of how he reached an agreement with Mie Feng and how he ultimately annihilated the Assassin’s Guild. The crises faced in the past two days and the subsequent boost in his martial abilities had caused Ah Dai’s heart, once frozen, to thaw slightly. After all, whether it was the brotherhood of Yan Shi or Zhuo Yun, or the companionship of Xi Wen and Liao Wen, they were undoubtedly his closest companions. Yan Shi initially wanted to disclose the matter regarding Xuan Yue to Ah Dai but was stopped by Xi Wen. Since Mie Feng had yet to fully recover and the relationship between her and Ah Dai remained delicate, Xi Wen decided to wait—for the right moment, so as not to hurt Ah Dai further.

Within the room at the inn, Ah Dai continuously circulated his robust Life True Qi to strengthen Mie Feng’s meridians. Since the day he treated her, he discovered Mie Feng’s inherent fragility and decided that once his martial power recovered, he would completely transform all her meridians. With the dual effects of Life True Qi and Ah Dai’s Golden Body, it took three full days, but Mie Feng’s body had been entirely transformed. Though the toughness of her meridians couldn’t compare to Ah Dai’s, they had still undergone considerable enhancement. Practicing dark-element fighting Qi hinges on safeguarding one’s meridians against the corrosion of Dark Energy. Following Ah Dai’s repair and fortification, her future cultivation would become far easier. It wouldn’t take long before she could surely ascend as a master in the Dark Realm.

After consolidating Mie Feng’s meridians, Ah Dai withdrew the Energy he had used to seal her consciousness back into his own body. Mie Feng had now fully recovered, and all that remained for Ah Dai was to wait for her to awaken and dispel her thoughts of death. However, this wait stretched into five days. Ah Dai cared for the unconscious Mie Feng with meticulous attention, just as she had once cared for him. Of course, when it came to wiping her body, he enlisted Zhuo Yun’s help. With the Assassin’s Guild destroyed, Ah Dai couldn’t shake the feeling that he owed Mie Feng tremendously, though he didn’t know how to make amends.

Finally, on the tenth day after leaving the Duke’s Mansion, at noon, Mie Feng awoke from her deep slumber. Feeling the comfort coursing through her entire body, she slowly opened her eyes. The first sight she saw was Ah Dai, sitting upright before her. A faint golden radiance shimmered on Ah Dai’s skin, making him appear far less ordinary than before—he even seemed strikingly handsome. Am I dreaming? Shouldn’t I already be dead? Mie Feng glanced around at the furnishings of the room, struggled to sit up, and pinched her arm. The sharp pain immediately jolted her nerves. Mie Feng cried out in astonishment, "I’m not dead?"

Ah Dai’s entire body shuddered, and he opened his eyes. He wasn’t cultivating but had chosen to meditate—something he hadn’t done in a long time—to remain attuned to the moment Mie Feng awoke. Her voice had startled him out of his meditation. Looking at Mie Feng, who had just sat up, Ah Dai smiled and said, "You’re finally awake. How do you feel? Is there anywhere on your body that still feels uncomfortable?"

Mie Feng stared at Ah Dai’s smiling face in disbelief, her hands brushing against her radiant cheeks. She murmured, "I... I’m not dreaming. I’m still alive."
