Chapter 1471: Chapter 158: Bone Dragon Reappears_2
Sheng Xie and Bone Dragon worked together seamlessly. Under their combined assault, the assassins were instantly forced into a defensive position. One wicked life after another was extinguished by these two formidable beings. By the time the Guild Master snapped out of his shock at the Bone Dragon’s sudden appearance, his entire force of assassins had already been annihilated. Overwhelmed with bloodlust, Bone Dragon disregarded Sheng Xie’s commands and abruptly lunged at the Guild Master. Its massive bone tail swung like a gargantuan whip toward the Guild Master and Mie Feng. Horrified, the Guild Master retreated at lightning speed, dark red light glowing in each of his hands as he launched an attack at the Bone Dragon. Though the Bone Dragon’s size made it impossible for it to evade, the force of the impact sent its enormous body crashing back to Sheng Xie’s side.
"Stop!" The Guild Master’s shrill scream echoed with fury. The death of all his subordinates had plunged his heart into pure madness. At that moment, Ah Dai had only just suppressed the Evil Aura and was slowly rising from the ground. He turned his gaze toward the Guild Master. The Guild Master clamped his right hand around Mie Feng’s throat. "If anyone dares approach, I’ll kill her first. Ah Dai, do you want her to die?"
The Bone Dragon, enraged by the Guild Master’s attack, was about to charge again but was halted by the radiant glow emanating from Sheng Xie’s Golden Horn. With a resounding *bang*, the light collided with the Bone Dragon’s immense frame, forcing it back several steps. Staring in astonishment at Sheng Xie, the Bone Dragon hesitated. Though Sheng Xie was utterly exhausted, it understood that it needed to suppress the Bone Dragon, or it would lose control entirely. Sheng Xie’s golden eyes burned with fury, and a strange sound reverberated through the air as all seven of its Golden Horns fully lit up. The Bone Dragon instinctively recalled its experience in Dark City and immediately shrank back. With its dull wits, how could it realize Sheng Xie was merely bluffing? Hastily, it crouched down low, the black flames in its green eyes dimming significantly as it whimpered in submission to Sheng Xie. Sheng Xie snorted in anger but didn’t spare it a glance. Standing beside the Bone Dragon, Sheng Xie channeled his Dragon Power continuously, keeping his fragile body steady and upright.
Ah Dai floated forward, standing between the two colossal dragons. He fixed his cold gaze on the Guild Master and said icily, "Do you still want to kill me now? It seems that the loser today... is you. Surrender and await your fate. I’ll give you the dignity of a complete corpse."
The Guild Master tightened his grip on Mie Feng’s throat. Her face appeared even paler, yet her eyes remained steadfast and fearless. Gazing at Ah Dai, a trace of gentleness flickered in her glance. The Guild Master addressed Ah Dai, "Boy, the one who should surrender is you. If you want her to live, take your own life in front of me immediately. Otherwise, I’ll end her life right before your eyes."
"Do you think Ah Dai is a fool? How can you utter such nonsense?" Several figures descended to stand beside Ah Dai—it was Yan Shi, Xi Wen, Liao Wen, and Zhuo Yun. They had planned to intervene right after the Heavenly Thunder Clash, but the Bone Dragon’s arrival had delayed their actions. Now that the crux of the battle was over, Xi Wen, having fully assessed Ah Dai’s capabilities, finally led the group to make their appearance. The speaker was Yan Li.
Ah Dai was startled and addressed the group, "Senior Uncles, Big Brother Yan Shi, Big Brother Yan Li, Sister Zhuo Yun, why are all of you here?"
Xi Wen smiled and said, "We’re here to support you. Not only did the Guild Master of the Assassin’s Guild set a trap for you, but we’ve been waiting for you in Sunset City for quite some time. Ah Dai, you’ve lived up to your teacher’s expectations!" The power Ah Dai had displayed earlier had completely won over this second-generation Sect Leader of the Tian Gang Sword Sect, solidifying his intent to pass down the mantle of leadership.
Upon seeing Xi Wen and the others appear, the Guild Master’s heart chilled. "So, Tian Gang Sword Sect—turns out you’ve been opposing me from the shadows too."
Xi Wen’s expression turned icy. White True Qi enveloped his body as he spoke in a grave tone, "Guild Master, your evil deeds are countless, including the murder of my Ninth Junior Brother. How could we Tian Gang Sword Sect let this go? This will be your burial ground. Release the young lady, and I shall give you a chance for a fair duel!" Owen had been raised under Xi Wen’s watchful eye, and his hatred for the Guild Master was no less than Ah Dai’s.
The Guild Master sneered bitterly. "You? You’re no match for me. If you want me to release Mie Feng, fine. Ah Dai must take his own life in front of me, and I’ll release her immediately."
Ah Dai took a few steps forward, speaking coldly, "Let her go—and also the members of the Thieves’ Guild. If you do so, I’ll spare your life. Leave at once."
Mie Feng’s eyes brimmed with disbelief. She knew just how deeply Ah Dai loathed the Guild Master. She had never imagined that Ah Dai would be willing to let him go in such a favorable position just to save her and the Thieves’ Guild. Tears streamed down her face as she felt her heart flood completely with Ah Dai’s image, leaving no room for anyone else.
The Guild Master was secretly pleased, sensing his judgment had been correct. Mie Feng undoubtedly held great importance to Ah Dai. He chuckled coldly, "Do I need your mercy? You think you can keep me here? My stance remains unchanged—take your life now, or I’ll act. As for the members of the Thieves’ Guild, I killed them long ago. Do you think I’d be as soft-hearted as you, leaving behind threats? You’ve destroyed my life’s work. If I don’t kill you, my hatred will never be appeased."
Upon hearing that the members of the Thieves’ Guild had already been killed, Mie Feng’s tears intensified. Her gaze filled with despair as she painfully smiled and fixed an unwavering look at Ah Dai. Ah Dai’s heart trembled; he understood Mie Feng was telling him not to hesitate on her behalf and to kill the Guild Master immediately. But how could Ah Dai not care about her? Without Mie Feng, he would never have succeeded in toppling the Assassin’s Guild so quickly. Without her, he might have succumbed to the Evil and Malicious Auras long ago. Moreover, it was because of him that the Thieves’ Guild had been destroyed by the Guild Master’s hand. Though Mie Feng had once schemed against him, Ah Dai knew it was an act of desperation. Her sacrifices for him had long surpassed anything imaginable. Mie Feng’s current expression reminded him of Bing—when Bing had saved him from the Cat Girl’s attack, she wore the same look. Bing was already dead, and Ah Dai could not allow Mie Feng to follow the same fate. Resolving himself, Ah Dai fixed his gaze on the Guild Master and declared firmly, "My life means nothing to me. I lost my will to live long ago. Yet, I will not take you at your word. Release her first, and only then will I take my life."
