Chapter 1467: Chapter 157 - Extreme Sky Thunder_2

After relentless efforts, Ah Dai finally forced the poison-tainted silver sphere infused with Wuer Holy Water out using his Golden Body. The blue-silver sphere was expelled, and Ah Dai’s energy instantly restored. His meridians became unobstructed, and with renewed vigor, he shouted, "Sheng Xie, let’s go!" Soaring into the air, his hands transformed into dozens of strands of pale purple Solid Battle Aura, surging towards Mie Feng like a tidal wave. Sheng Xie roared furiously, its massive body rising gracefully. Despite the barrier ten meters above preventing it from ascending further, its formidable attack power remained unaffected. Spreading its wings wide, gray Dragon Breath mixed with golden starlight sprayed forth, enveloping a thirty-meter radius around it. The assassins caught within the Dragon Breath had no choice but to abandon their attacks. Unable to dodge, they frantically unleashed their own battle aura externally, desperately resisting the corrosive force within Sheng Xie’s breath. Meanwhile, Ah Dai’s battle aura strands had already reached Mie Feng.

Though Mie Feng’s cultivation strength was significantly below Ah Dai’s, he was not one to accept his fate passively. With a flick of his Narrow Sword, it unleashed a cascade of shimmering cold stars to meet Ah Dai’s onslaught. Just as Ah Dai’s battle aura strands were about to collide with the glittering stars, the purple energy threads abruptly vanished, not leaving a trace behind. Mie Feng’s offensive had already been fully committed and was impossible to retract, leaving him no choice but to harden his resolve and charge towards Ah Dai. Ah Dai snorted coldly, and all the killing intent around him abruptly concentrated onto Mie Feng. His right fist thrust forward suddenly, releasing a surge of densely concentrated pale purple Solid Battle Aura. Ignoring the incoming bitter cold stars that were brushing perilously close, he aimed this blow directly at Mie Feng’s chest.

Mie Feng realized he could no longer withdraw or shift his attack. Gritting his teeth, he accelerated the Narrow Sword’s assault, attempting a desperate mutual destruction with Ah Dai. But could he truly seize such an opportunity? The answer, of course, was no. As the shimmering stars of Mie Feng’s Narrow Sword were about to pierce Ah Dai, a layer of pale purple Solid Battle Aura Shield manifested before Ah Dai, forming an impenetrable barrier. The rapid sounds of clanging echoed intensely as energy ripples burst out in front of Ah Dai, disrupting the attack. Even in the past, when Mie Feng and six others joined forces, they couldn’t break through Ah Dai’s Solid Battle Aura Shield. Now, with Mie Feng acting alone and his energy scattered, how could he possibly succeed? Despite this failure, Ah Dai’s Solid Battle Aura-infused punch had already reached Mie Feng’s chest. Faced with imminent danger, Mie Feng sensed an impending calamity, decisively releasing his grip on the Narrow Sword. Both palms surged forward to block, channeling all his power into his arms in a desperate bid to neutralize Ah Dai’s attack. A thunderous explosion rang out as the impact threw Mie Feng violently into the air, spraying blood that tainted the atmosphere with a faint metallic scent. Though Ah Dai’s punch, partly offset by resisting the Narrow Sword’s energy, did not kill Mie Feng, it shattered his arms entirely, condemning him to a lifetime of uselessness.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye. When the other assassins closed in on Ah Dai, Mie Feng’s body had already been launched into the air from the strike. With a sharp circular motion of his hands, Ah Dai fiercely hurled outward, releasing a pale purple ring of Light Blades that radiated outward like lightning from his center. The assassins rushing in suddenly recoiled in fear. Under the enormous pressure of the vibrant Energy Blades, their own battle aura was sliced apart effortlessly, as fragile as tofu. Three assassins who failed to evade were cleaved in two at the waist.

Ah Dai did not emerge unscathed either. The aftermath of the battle aura released by the ten or so charging assassins struck his Solid Battle Aura Shield, causing his blood and energy to churn within. Nonetheless, Ah Dai refrained from pursuing them. Harnessing the power of his aura, he retreated gracefully and landed behind Sheng Xie. Man and dragon were perfectly in sync, as seven golden streaks of lightning burst forth from Sheng Xie’s Golden Horn, striking the assassins who charged ahead. Following the fierce and deafening explosions in mid-air, the assassins were repelled instantly. Taking advantage of this brief reprieve, Ah Dai deliberately activated the Golden Body within his Dantian, which emanated a brilliant radiance. The ninth-stage Essence True Qi began circulating furiously, and two pale purple energy spheres appeared in Ah Dai’s hands. As his cultivation continued to rise, silver light gradually emerged from the depths of the pale purple energy. Ah Dai’s heart surged with joy; he knew his power was nearing the level of his grandmaster, the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang realm. The silver hue signified the sixth-stage Essence Transformation ability. Word by word, he chanted: "Essence–Transformation–Thunder–Lightning–Convergence–Strike." His left hand swiftly sliced out, releasing a silver-purple energy disk that floated gracefully through the air like a thin film. His right hand traced a half-circle over his chest before slowly pushing outward, unleashing a pale purple radiance that exploded with dazzling brilliance. It emitted thunderous roars, as a spherical mass of Ah Dai’s concentrated Solid State Energy materialized and floated forward leisurely.

The earlier energy disk did not fly far. As the sphere appeared, the two energies—a light, fleeting one and a dense, steady one—clashed fiercely in the air, creating radiant sparks that were blinding to behold. The pale purple Essence Transformation energy fused with the silver-purple disk, shifting into a faint silver hue. Purple electric currents began swirling ceaselessly around the soft silver sphere as it hovered forward. Having cultivated Essence Transformation to its pinnacle, Ah Dai elevated the Thunder-Lightning Convergence Strike technique to a new level. Though his current execution of the strike could not rival the Ultimate Evil Power unleashed by the Sword of Hades through the Netherworld, it surpassed the fourth technique of Hades’ Nine Decisions—the Nether Shadow. While Ah Dai could utilize the Netherworld ability, he understood that against such a multitude of powerful foes, even the Netherworld might not guarantee total annihilation. Determined not to allow his mind to be consumed again by the ruthlessness and malice tied to those techniques, he opted instead for the strongest attack he could currently master. The aura of danger exuding from the Thunder-Lightning Convergence Strike made even Sheng Xie tremble slightly despite its overwhelming strength. Stunned by the phenomenon Ah Dai was generating, the surrounding assassins froze momentarily. Among them, the calmest figure was, unsurprisingly, their leader. Though he couldn’t discern precisely what Ah Dai intended, he recognized the frightening scale of such power, which even he couldn’t confidently withstand. As the head of the Assassin’s Guild and one of the masterminds of the Dark Forces, his selfishness was boundless. Barking orders, he shouted, "Attack with all your might! Don’t let him complete his ultimate move!" Despite his commanding words, he personally retreated, along with Mie Feng, withdrawing toward the rear.
