Chapter 140: Chapter 33 Elf City_1

After passing through a dense forest, a vista unfolded before their eyes, a scene resembling a fairyland that left Moon Scar and the others who had come here for the first time utterly astounded. A vast clear blue lake came into view. The lake was extremely limpid, and under the sun’s reflection, it shimmered, allowing a clear view of the swimming fish and the pebbles at the bottom. A thin layer of mist floated on the water surface, rendering a dreamlike feeling. Countless elves were frolicking above the lake, their faces aglow with happiness. However, what surprised them the most was a towering ancient tree in the middle of the lake. The tree was over a hundred meters tall, with a robust trunk about fifty meters in diameter. There were many fissures on the tree, and sturdy vines intertwined upon it, with some elves darting through. The ancient tree’s massive and luxuriant crown, shimmering in the crystal-clear light upon its verdant leaves, was almost as tall as the whole tree itself. The melodious chirping of birds and the sound of elves flapping their wings blended into a captivating symphony. There was more than one tree in the lake, centered around the ancient tree were many smaller trees. The branches and leaves of these trees were not as lush as that of the main one, and visible on them were some houses, ingeniously merged with the trees in such a way that they seemed all-natural, showing no signs of human craftsmanship. Vines connected the trees to one another, creating an image of a vast elf city above the lake. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Xuan Yue watched everything in front of her, exclaiming in awe, "It’s so beautiful, much more beautiful than my home! Such gorgeous trees and lake!"

Flying by Xuan Yue’s side, Ruo Ma smiled and said, "This is the heart of our elf forest—the Elf City, where most elves live. Surrounding the Elf City, within a ten-mile radius, our mages have set up a maze-like illusion, making it impossible for outsiders to enter. This is the true haven of our elves."

Xuan Yue nodded, saying, "Your Elf Clan’s Magic of Nature is truly miraculous, greatly differing from ordinary magic!"

Ruo Ma gently nodded, replying, "Our Elf Clan’s Magic of Nature is indeed profound and complicated. Unfortunately, I am too young to have mastered much of it. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been bullied by those bad people. Xuan Yue, who’s that unconscious boy? If it weren’t for him this time, we might have been captured by those bad guys."

Lowering her gaze to Ah Dai, Xuan Yue hesitated before answering, "He’s my friend. He’s a good guy, just a bit slow."

Ruo Ma, with her head down as if deep in thought, remained silent. Once they returned to the Elf City, the elves swiftly dispersed and disappeared within the city. As Tian Ying landed from the sky, he said to Yan Shi, "Each elf’s family only has one tree house, so we don’t have spare rooms to cater to you. How about this? You guys rest on the shore for a while, and I’ll rush to report to the queen."

Yan Shi nodded, "Uncle Tian Ying, you do your thing, we’ll rest along the shore. The Elf City is like a paradise on earth. Our fatigue naturally fades away as we watch this captivating scenery. And please convey our wish to meet Her Majesty, the Queen."

With a nod of his head, Tian Ying put his palms together in front of his chest and recited an Elf spell. A green light enveloped him. Suddenly, his hands split apart, and two beams of green light shot on the tree nearby. The tree’s branches and leaves grew rapidly, within moments forming a natural room that encompassed Yan Shi and the others within. With a faint smile, Tian Ying said, "You guys rest here. Ya Yuan, Ruo Ma, come with me." Having said this, he flew off towards the massive Elf ancient tree in the middle of the lake.

Yan Shi laid Ah Dai gently on the ground and asked Xuan Yue, who just entered the tree house, "Does Ah Dai have any secrets? Why could he scare off those bandits? Also, I have carefully observed that the bandits with the weaker powers initially presented were killed without having any injuries."

Xuan Yue stuck her tongue out, retorting, "Don’t ask me, I have no idea. Why don’t you ask him directly after he wakes up? Haven’t you forgotten? Prophet Pu Lin did mention that this guy is your destined helper; there’s no surprise if he has some mysteries."

Yue Ji leaned over to Xuan Yue’s side, took her hand, and whispered, "Yue Yue, you and Ah Dai seem very close; you must know something, don’t you? Do tell us. We’re really curious. Ah Dai has given us too many surprises. At first, we just thought he was a magician, but every time we faced danger, he used his martial arts to handle the situation. It seems that magic is not his forte. Both cultivation in magic and martial arts is rare in the continent. The magic he used today seemed to be of the Light System like yours, not of the Fire System, and its power was enormous. Just when we thought he couldn’t handle those people in black, he managed to scare them off. It was simply incredible. My brother said those people in black might have been as strong as takers, and they’re someone we could never handle! What more secrets does Ah Dai have? You must tell us." Everyone’s gaze focused on Xuan Yue’s pretty face, awaiting her reply.
