Chapter 1375: Chapter 137: Father and Daughter Reunion_3

The Elf Queen had not yet answered when Princess Xing Er blurted out, "Who are you, beautiful sister? I didn’t know there were such pretty girls among humans!" Princess Xing Er’s appearance was not inferior to Xuan Yue’s, but since she was still a Little Elf, she naturally couldn’t compare to the current Xuan Yue. Xuan Yue had felt a bit jealous when she saw her hugging Ah Dai just now, but as vanity is a woman’s nature, her unhappiness dissipated a lot when Princess Xing Er praised her beauty, and she smiled, "Hello, I’m Xuan Yue. Little sister, you must be the Princess Xing Er of the Elf Clan. Last time, when big sister wanted to join Ah Dai and the others to rescue you, something came up and I couldn’t make it."

The Elf Queen glared at her daughter, seemingly reprimanding her for her rudeness. Princess Xing Er was startled and quickly swallowed back the words she was about to say. The Queen turned to Xuan Yue and said, "Come with me. Your father and the Judgment Chief are resting inside."

Everyone followed the Elf Queen into the treehouse, and upon entering, Xuan Yue saw her father, Bishop Xuan Ye, looking much more haggard than when she had left the church. A few white hairs had even started to show at his temples, and his resolute face was devoid of any color. It seemed as if he had aged ten years in the few months since they last saw each other. Seeing her father in such a state pained Xuan Yue. She rushed to Bishop Xuan Ye’s side, calling out emotionally, "Dad." A faint golden glow lit up as she placed her hand on her father’s chest, continuously infusing him with the Divine Energy of the same origin.

Bishop Xuan Ye had been deep in thought, weakened by the depletion over many days, and was in the midst of cultivating when suddenly a pure and robust Divine Energy flowed into him. His frail body absorbed this Sacred Aura as if a long-parched land was met with sweet rain, guiding the immense Energy with his will, continuously healing his damaged meridians, and finally replenishing his almost exhausted spiritual well at the brow chakra. After a while, Bishop Xuan Ye let out a sigh. With the restoration of some spiritual power, his health had improved significantly. Overjoyed in his heart, he could tell from the Energy that it must be the church’s Light Magic Power. Given that there was only one Magician in the Elf Forest, such powerful Magic could only mean that it was either the Pope or one of the two Red Robe Priests. When he opened his eyes, Bishop Xuan Ye was surprised to find that neither the Pope nor the Red Robe Priests were the ones restoring his spiritual power; instead, it was his daughter, Xuan Yue, who had run away from home and hadn’t been seen for many days.

Xuan Yue asked with concern, "Dad, are you feeling better? How did this happen? And grandfather, he..."

As soon as Bishop Xuan Ye heard his daughter mention ’grandfather,’ his eyes revealed a strong sadness, "Your grandfather sacrificed himself to save everyone. How did you come here? Did the Pope send you? Have you been back to the church already?"

Xuan Yue shook her head and said, "The Prophet Pu Lin from the Pu Yan Clan informed us that someone from the church was in trouble here, so we hurried over. Dad, are you feeling better now?"

Bishop Xuan Ye looked up at Ah Dai and the others, and for some reason, Ah Dai always had an inexplicable fear of Bishop Xuan Ye. He stepped forward a few paces, coming to Xuan Yue’s side, and said, "Bishop Xuan Ye, I hope you are well."

Bishop Xuan Ye acknowledged with a grunt and looked at his daughter, "Yue Yue, you’ve made rapid progress in your magic cultivation! It seems you might have even surpassed me. Did you encounter any obstructions from the Dark Forces on your way here?" 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Xuan Yue shook her head, "We didn’t encounter any obstructions, and we didn’t see those Dark alien races. Dad, did the church really lose all of its dispatched forces? How is this possible?"

Bishop Xuan Ye sighed, "The enemy is far stronger than we imagined; their strength isn’t something that the Dark alien races alone could muster. The warriors of the church gave their utmost effort. Although they perished, they took down several times their number in enemies. They didn’t die in vain; the Sky God will care for their souls. Yue Yue, do you know? Before you arrived, there were more than a hundred thousand Dark alien races besieging the Elf Forest. If it wasn’t for the noble assistance of the Elf Clan, you probably wouldn’t be able to see me now."

Xuan Yuan approached Bishop Xuan Ye, saying indifferently, "It is already too late for any other discussion; we must return to the church as soon as possible and report this situation to the Pope to decide on a strategy. We absolutely cannot tolerate the Dark Forces continuing to grow like this. Otherwise, the continent is in peril."

Bishop Xuan Ye nodded, "You are right; we must hurry back to the church. Yue Yue, your magical cultivation is already strong, first help the Judgment Chief heal his wounds, then come back to the church with us."

Xuan Yue shuddered, turned her head to glance at Ah Dai, and said, "Dad, I... I was originally planning to go on an adventure to the Death Mountain Range."

Bishop Xuan Ye’s brows shot up, anger evident in his voice, "What adventure could there be at a time like this? You must return to the church with me."

Looking at her father, Xuan Yue was trembling slightly. She simply couldn’t find the words to refuse, her father having suffered so much these days, and she muttered, "Dad, let’s wait until you’re better before discussing that. We can’t leave in your current condition!"

Bishop Xuan Ye’s expression softened a lot, and he sighed before addressing Ah Dai, "We have less than two years left before the competition we agreed upon is due to take place. Are you prepared for it?"
