Chapter 1346: Chapter 131 The Truth About Her Identity_4

With the support of True Qi, Xuan Yue’s spirit recovered a bit. She sat up from the grass, took a deep breath of the refreshing air, and said, "I’m utterly exhausted. Haven’t felt this kind of fatigue in a long time."

Ah Dai hurriedly said, "It’s all my fault, we shouldn’t have rushed so much. You should take a wash, and it would be best to clean your Ritual Robe too. Change into some dry, comfortable clothes. I’ll go look for some fruit, and by the time I get back, you’ll probably be done with your bath. Then we can have a good meal and take it slow tomorrow." After saying that, he floated into the air and headed back the way they came.

Watching Ah Dai’s departing figure, Xuan Yue smiled softly. Despite feeling physically exhausted, her heart was filled with joy. She liked this selfless side of Ah Dai when it came to friends. Recalling the location of the fruit grove they had passed earlier, she estimated that Ah Dai would take at least half an hour to return. With no one around in the remote area and the inviting clear river in front of her, Xuan Yue looked left and right to make sure no one was there, then slowly removed her White Light Magic Robe. From her Phoenix’s Blood, she took out the civilian clothes Ah Dai had given her a while ago. The chest wrap had been soaked with sweat; Xuan Yue slowly unwrapped the three-meter-long cloth, and a sense of relaxation and freshness enveloped her. Freed from constriction, her body instantly felt much more comfortable. She tested the depth of the river water and took off her disguise laryngeal knot, before stepping into the water. The chilly river stimulated her tired skin, rejuvenating her vitality as she swam around. The icy water continuously stimulated her body. The disguise makeup on her face wouldn’t wash off with water; in fact, disguising was quite simple—it involved using special pigments to change her naturally curved eyebrows into thick ones and darkening her skin a bit. Xuan Yue had been using this disguise makeup for a long time. She took out the special cleanser from her Phoenix’s Blood, wash off the disguise from her face, and decided to reapply the disguise after the bath.

The river was not deep, reaching only to Xuan Yue’s waist. The riverbed was covered with smooth pebbles. In an extraordinary sense of comfort, Xuan Yue gradually lost track of time as she immersed herself in the wonderful sensation of the cold water seeping into her body.

A moon like a jade disc slowly rose into the sky, seemingly intimidated by Xuan Yue’s stunning beauty, only showing half of its face. The constant sound of the water broke the silence of the night. In the clear river, Xuan Yue’s happiness in bathing grew stronger and stronger.

Worried that Xuan Yue might be in a hurry, Ah Dai quickly arrived at the fruit grove they had passed earlier. With his discernment, he found four or five types of edible fruit. He hurriedly opened his Space Barrier and collected the fruits one by one, picking almost thirty or forty before he stopped. Shrouded in vital energy, he floated into the air and—based on his memory—headed toward the river.

The constant sound of water shattered the silence of the night sky. Floating down from the air, Ah Dai walked toward the river while secretly thinking that his "brother" Xuan Re must be enjoying a thorough bath; it’s taken so long that he’s not done yet. While contemplating this, he climbed over the dirt hill, and when he saw the scene in the river, his whole body was shocked. Underneath the light of the half-moon, the clear river reflected a shimmering light. In the river, a white body danced continuously, splashing water all around. The pearl-like droplets of water slid over her jade-like skin. Her long blue hair cascaded down her back, and the undulating peaks at her chest were captivatingly beautiful. Her slim waist, hardly an armful, and the exquisite curves highlighted her angelic figure. Finally, she turned to face the direction of Ah Dai, but clearly absorbed in the river water, she didn’t notice Ah Dai. Such a familiar delicate face! Such a mesmerizing beauty! In that peerless face, her blue eyes revealed a deep intoxication with the water. With her body swaying, a graceful charm was fully displayed.

Ah Dai’s body trembled uncontrollably. This goddess-like figure instantly occupied his heart, and his gaze involuntarily lingered on the girl’s beautiful body, unwilling to look away. After four years, a nosebleed appeared again, dripping onto the Black Robe on Ah Dai’s chest, of which he was completely unaware.

"Ah—" Immersed in the bath in the river, Xuan Yue finally noticed Ah Dai. She hugged her arms over her chest and crouched down in the water. Drops of crystal-clear water dripped from her hair, and under the moonlight, her delicate figure was as enchanting as a lotus flower rising out of water. Suddenly spotting Ah Dai, she too was stunned, not knowing how to face the situation before her. Her mind was filled with countless thoughts. Just when she least wanted Ah Dai to find out her true identity, it was exposed. Both of them looked at one another—one on the hill and one in the water—their hearts entirely caught in a surge of intense emotions.

After a long while, Ah Dai bit his slightly dry lips and murmured, "Brother Xuan Re, you, how did you turn into a girl? I, I didn’t mean to." 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

Xuan Yue’s pretty face instantly turned deathly pale, knowing she could no longer hide her identity. Tears streamed down her cheeks, and her heart was filled with a complex mix of emotions.

Seeing Xuan Yue crying, Ah Dai’s heart ached, and without thinking, he said, "Brother, no, miss, please come out of the water. It’s cold, and if you stay too long, it will harm your body." Suddenly, he saw a ripple behind Xuan Yue and was struck with a sense of alarm. His body shot towards Xuan Yue like lightning as he loudly shouted, "Watch out behind you."
