Chapter 1331: Chapter 128: Valley of Destruction_4

Xuan Yuan’s eyes gleamed with excitement, and he nodded emphatically, saying, "Certainly. The Winged Tribe scouts ahead from above, while we advance from below, directly storming into the valley. We should only injure the Half-Beasts to incapacitate them. Once we find any Dark Demon Clan members, show no mercy. All clergy, follow me into the charge." Saying this, he drifted towards the entrance of the valley.

The Wing King chuckled helplessly, "This Judgment Chief is quite the impatient one! Bishop, let’s hurry over as well. It’s too dangerous for him to be alone." With those words, he took flight, leading his tribesmen to quickly advance through the valley from above, providing cover for the Holy Church’s troops. The path through the valley was very flat, with the occasional Beast Man footprint visible on the ground. Xuan Yuan didn’t go far; he stopped in the middle of the valley to wait for everyone to catch up before continuing. The mountains on both sides were not particularly steep, reaching hundreds of meters in height but with a gentle slope. On their way into the valley, they encountered several dozen Beast Men, whom they swiftly incapacitated by sealing their meridians, tossing them into the bushes nearby, preventing any from making a sound.

The path ahead suddenly opened up; clearly, they were nearing their destination. Since this was the first time Xuan Ye was undertaking such an important mission, he couldn’t help but feel a bit tense. He softly chanted spells, ready to cast support magic on his fellow Holy Church members at the start of the battle.

Because the Holy Church’s forces and the Winged Tribe were advancing so speedily, they soon entered the Half-Beast Valley. When they reached the basin of the valley, they were all momentarily stunned—not because the enemy was overwhelmingly formidable, but because the broad basin was utterly devoid of Half-Beasts and Dark Witchers. The desolate basin was starkly empty, with a warm breeze stirring the sparse dead grass on the ground. Despite the warm weather, a chill rose in Xuan Ye’s heart. Na Yan was the first to react, bellowing, "Quick, retreat from the valley."

A gentle female voice echoed, "Too late, it’s already too late. Welcome, esteemed members of the Holy Church, to the Valley of Destruction. We’ve been waiting for a long time. This will be your graveyard." The voice was light and continued to drift around the valley, clearly reaching every ear of the Holy Church. Even the most foolish could tell they had walked into an ambush.

A thunderous boom resounded, and Xuan Ye, in a state of terror, looked towards the entrance only to see countless boulders cascading down from the mountain tops on both sides of the entrance. Amidst the rumbling, the entry was completely sealed.

A streak of golden light descended from the sky, striking Xuan Ye who was utterly astonished. Although Xuan Ye’s magic was powerful, he was caught off guard and movement technique was not his strong suit, leaving him no chance to dodge.

"Be careful." A shadow suddenly lunged from behind Xuan Ye, pushing him out of the way with a scream—it was his father-in-law, Na Yan. The golden light pierced through Na Yan’s right shoulder, shattering his collarbone and shoulder bone completely, leaving a gaping wound the size of a bowl in between his chest and shoulder. As blood gushed out, Na Yan was pinned to the ground by the formidable momentum. The source of the golden light turned out to be a Throwing Spear. Xuan Ye, shocked, suddenly released the wide-area support magic he had prepared, enshrouding all the Holy Church members in a flash of faint golden light.

Ballon bellowed, "Everyone, don’t panic, gather together and prepare to face the enemy." Drawing his Longsword, he looked up into the sky.

The Wing King shook his head helplessly, sighing, "While we didn’t kill Xuan Ye, seriously injuring a Red Robe Priest isn’t too bad either, haha, hahaha."

Xuan Ye roared, "Wing King, you bastard, what are you trying to do?"

The Wing King snorted disdainfully, "Fool, do you still not understand? You’ve walked into an ambush under my lead, into a trap we’ve long set. Today, none of you will leave the Valley of Destruction alive. My children, attack." With that, Xuan Ye finally understood what those Throwing Spears wielded by the winged people were for—six hundred streaks of light descended from the sky, each spear of light charged directly towards the Holy Church’s members. The powerful impact generated by the weight of the spears and the strength of the elite winged warriors was unimaginable.

Xuan Yuan roared in anger, leaping into the air, his Divine Battle Aura dissipating and sweeping away hundreds of Throwing Spears in an instant. The Holy Church members dispatched here were all elites, and although they were unexpectedly attacked, they quickly reacted, forming barriers of golden Battle Aura below, intercepting most of the spears. However, several dozens of Sacred Knights with weaker abilities were killed.

The Wing King was slightly taken aback by this scene, and while he was startled, Xuan Yuan took to the air with the recoil of his Battle Aura, shimmering in golden light and rising like a bolt of lightning, casting waves of golden light that surged toward the winged people above. In a furious roar, he bellowed, "Divine—Wave—Sweeping—Sea—" Massive golden waves surged toward the Winged Tribe in the sky.

Although the Wing King had high regard for Xuan Yuan’s abilities, he didn’t expect him to be so formidable. Along with the two Silver Wing Elders, he shouted loudly, each of them sending out a surge of solid Battle Aura. However, Xuan Yuan, in his rage, had unleashed his full strength, and his near-Sword Saint level of power was not to be trifled with. With a tremendous boom, the Wing King and the two Silver Wing Elders were sent flying, blood spraying from their mouths. At the same time, dozens of winged people were devoured by the ferocious Divine Battle Aura; their bodies torn apart, raining blood from the sky. Xuan Yuan didn’t cease his assault, touching down on a winged person’s back, who instantly bled profusely and died, using the rebound to change his breath, his golden light reemerging. The Blue Feather Wingmen and Red Feather Wingmen were no match for him, and instantly, more winged people met their violent ends.
