Chapter 1294: Chapter 120 Heading to Red Hurricane_4

Since the day Xuan Yue scolded Ah Dai, Ah Dai had been very silent, often lost in thought by himself. Xuan Yue did not try to comfort him; she just stuck by his side at all times, sharing a bed with him at night as usual. After five days of company, the four of them grew gradually familiar with each other. Olivia’s wit was not inferior to Xuan Yue’s, and she was thorough and meticulous in thinking things through. Kino, on the other hand, was quite the opposite; his mind was like a blank slate, knowing nothing but magic. However, his comprehension was strong, and he was no longer as clumsy as he was at the beginning. With nothing better to do during the journey, Xuan Yue taught the simplest Space Magic, Short-Distance Teleportation, to the two of them. Although Kino was very resistant to learning magic, he found this novel magic that could instantly change his position quite interesting. Although he was far less diligent than Olivia, with his powerful Magic Power, he was barely able to master it.

It was noon, and there were few pedestrians on the broad road. Kino wiped the sweat from his forehead, complaining, "What kind of weather is this? It’s already August; how can it still be so hot?"

Ah Dai’s magical energy was robust, and external temperatures hardly affected him. After reaching the Magus Realm with her sacred Light Magic, Xuan Yue also acquired the ability to resist temperatures like Ah Dai. Olivia was the proudest among the four; with a simple casting of Small Tornado Magic, he could easily drive away the searing heat from his body. Only Kino had no way to deal with the sun above; even though he had already taken off his Magic Robe and was only wearing thin clothes, ordinary Fire Mages are not afraid of heat. However, Kino was sensitive to temperature since he had been trained by Larthas near volcanoes from a young age. Even with the qualifications of a Magus, he could not withstand the scorching summer heat.

Olivia glanced sideways at Kino with disdain, saying, "You don’t look like a Magician at all if you can’t even handle this bit of heat." Bickering had become a habit between the two, and Olivia was always eager to tease Kino. Kino chuckled, moved closer to Olivia, poked him, and said, "Brother, stop teasing me. I can’t compare to you at all! How about giving me a tornado? A big one; I’m about to die from the heat. If it goes on like this, I’ll become a dried-up mummy."

Olivia’s eyes darted around, a sly look flashing across his face as he said with feigned confusion, "How big do you want the tornado? I don’t even feel hot at all!"

Kino was befuddled by the sweltering heat, and he was no match for Olivia’s wits, so he immediately fell for the trick, saying, "The bigger, the better. I’m dying from the heat. Let the storm come fiercer."

Olivia nodded, keeping a straight face, "Alright, you walk ahead, and I’ll blow from behind. That should cool you down faster."

Kino, overjoyed, hurriedly said, "Thank you, Brother Vila." As he finished speaking, he walked a few steps forward, waiting for Vila’s tornado.

Olivia threw a triumphant look at Ah Dai and Xuan Yue on the side, raised the Staff of Wind God in his hand, and began to chant a spell softly. The air’s Wind elements began to converge toward him, forming a tornado in front of him that grew increasingly larger. Ah Dai didn’t understand what Olivia was up to, but Xuan Yue did; she whispered to Ah Dai, "Big Brother Vila is so naughty! He’s going to pull one over on Kino again."

The tornado unleashed by Olivia grew larger and larger, and the Wind elements in the air gradually became more violent. Kino, enjoying the cool breeze behind him, was delighted, "Such a good wind, truly good! Now I feel much cooler." He was closing his eyes, savoring the refreshing feel of the breeze whisking away the heat when he suddenly sensed the wind behind him growing stronger, and couldn’t help saying, "Wow, it’s super cool now." He turned around to tell Olivia that it was enough, but instead, he saw a five-meter-tall twister rapidly approaching him from behind. Screaming, "Ah—" he was caught off guard and instantly swept up high by the tornado, spinning with it, flailing and shouting.

Olivia controlled the tornado from below, snickering, "How’s that? Isn’t the storm exhilarating? That must have cooled you off plenty."

Xuan Yue couldn’t hold back her laughter seeing Kino’s disheveled state, even Ah Dai unwittingly grinned. They all knew Olivia meant no harm; it was just a prank, so they didn’t intervene. Olivia and Kino put on similar acts of banter daily, and they were all used to it by now.

When Olivia thought it was about enough, he dissolved the Wind series magic, using the tornado to gently lower Kino to the ground. When Kino was about one meter from the surface, Olivia abruptly withdrew all the tornadoes, and Kino fell to the ground with a thump, getting a face full of dirt. He felt the world spinning, seeing three silhouettes of Ah Dai’s group as his head spun. Olivia squatted beside him, laughing, "How was it? Exhilarating?"

Kino had barely reduced the dizziness when he angrily said, "Exhilarating my foot, I almost got dizzy to death. I asked you for a tornado, and you gave me a twister; you trying to kill me?"

Olivia put on an aggrieved expression, "You can’t blame me; you were the one who said to let the storm come fiercer. A twister is a kind of tornado, you know!"

Kino was speechless but refused to be outdone; he casually launched the most common Meteor Fire magic, exclaiming angrily, "Then I’ll let you taste a Meteor Shower." A sky full of red Little Fireballs suddenly flew towards Olivia. Although they were close, Olivia was prepared, using the recently learned Short-Distance Teleportation to vanish from the spot. The huge swarm of Little Fireballs instantly flew towards Ah Dai and Xuan Yue behind him.
