Chapter 1250: Chapter 111 Flame Dragon Nine Transformations_3

Xuan Yue listened to Ah Dai’s spell and found it quite strange. Here, only she was capable of space magic. Although the spell Ah Dai recited resembled space magic, its pronunciation and content were different. Could it be that he possessed abilities unknown to her? As she pondered, Ah Dai’s actions clarified his intentions.

A phantom swiftly separated from Ah Dai’s body, to be precise, from the Wish of Goris—a perfect duplicate of Ah Dai. Ah Dai gave his clone a slight smile, his eyes radiating confidence and wisdom. He then pushed his True Qi behind him, propelling the clone like a bolt of lightning toward Larthas. To avoid revealing that this was beyond the scope of magic, he deliberately chanted, "Space’s phantom! I beseech you, transform into the force of a blade, and vanquish the enemy before me." The clone’s power, enhanced greatly after Ah Dai reached the final level of his cultivation technique under the control of his spiritual power, was now enveloped in a pale green light. With the push from Ah Dai, the clone reached Larthas in just a couple of movements. A pale green energy blade materialized, and Ah Dai’s clone, merging blade and body, channeled all his energy into a Splitting Chop aimed at Larthas.

Simultaneously with the clone’s appearance, Gorisong, standing among the magicians, shuddered intensely. An inexplicable sadness overwhelmed him, his gaze firmly fixed on Ah Dai’s right hand, feeling a strange turbulence in his heart.

Larthas’s usually impassive face finally showed signs of disturbance. Surprise flashed across his features, and he felt fear the moment the energy blade appeared. The tremendous energy seemed uncharacteristic of magic, but the young man he was fighting was still distant, chanting a spell—suggesting this attack that was akin to physical power should belong to the category of magic. Time did not permit further contemplation. For the first time, Larthas felt the vulnerability of his Flame of Destruction Shield. In desperation, he gathered all his spiritual power to forcibly retract the forming Second Order Flame Dragon, sending it racing towards the clone’s side, hoping its attack would resolve his crisis.

With the Flame Dragon retreating, the pressure on Ah Dai lessened considerably. He focused all his thoughts into his clone, wondering if the Solid Battle Aura Blade, carrying half his own strength, could injure this powerful magician. He didn’t know. Everything hinged on the forthcoming energy clash.

Under the impetus of his fear, Larthas’s spiritual power exerted a tremendous effect. Controlling the Second Order Flame Dragon was still within his capabilities. With the explosion of his Mage’s spiritual power, the Flame Dragon darted back at double the previous speed. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

The Solid Battle Aura Blade made contact with the Flame of Destruction surrounding Larthas. The Flame erupted in dazzling red brilliance, stark against the pale green hue of the transformation. The friction of energies emitted a sharp, piercing sound. Yet, the Flame of Destruction’s immense heat could not mar Solid State Energy—Magic Star Guest’s transformation. The thick energy in front of Larthas dissipated rapidly under the assault of the Solid Battle Aura Blade, while the Flame Dragon was still en route. Ah Dai had finally gained a sliver of the initiative against Larthas.

As a grand Mage, Larthas’s magical power was indeed unfathomable, and in this moment of peril, he did not only harness the power of the Fire Spirit Pearl to control the returning Flame Dragon but also began to chant another spell, "Great Fire God! As your most devoted servant, I implore you, with your boundless Divine Power, defend your honor.—Shield of the Fire God." The chant transformed the surrounding Flame of Destruction into a faint gold hue, swiftly solidifying towards the path of the Solid Battle Aura Blade’s Splitting Chop. The golden light slowly crystallized, elegant arcs forming, eventually solidifying into a massive golden Shield. The Shield of the Fire God, forged from the Flame of Destruction, was clearly much stronger than the White Shield of the Fire God that Kino used. With a light ’ping’, the surrounding flames vanished, and the pale green Solid Battle Aura Blade struck heavily upon the center of Larthas’s Fire God Shield, embedding deeply. Under Ah Dai’s control, the invincible power of the transformation fully erupted, causing Larthas to retreat continuously. From the area struck by the blade, cracks began to appear on the shield. If he could maintain the attack, the Solid Battle Aura, as a Magic Star Guest, stood a good chance of breaking through Larthas’s defense. However, at this moment, the Second Order Flame Dragon had arrived beside Larthas.

Ah Dai’s spiritual power was entirely consumed controlling the clone’s attack. Now, he could no longer help the clone dodge; to do so would mean losing the prime opportunity to defeat Larthas. With the protection of the Flame Dragon, it seemed unlikely that the clone could strike Larthas again. Therefore, his only hope was to breach Larthas’s formidable defense before the Flame Dragon collided with the clone.

"Ah—" Ah Dai shouted, the pale green light of the clone intensifying, the energy blade seemingly growing a fraction stronger. The fiery Flame Dragon finally arrived, and with a resonating boom, it collided precisely with the clone’s side. The pale green light and the red of the Flame Dragon erupted simultaneously. Unleashed energies scattered wildly from the impact. Larthas was flung back more than ten meters, his complexion deathly pale. The severe shock, compounded by simultaneously casting two spells beyond level seven, subjected his spirit and body to immense strain, and with a retch, he vomited fresh blood.
