Just as Ah Dai was about to head to the carriage with Xuan Yue, a voice from Ice Skeleton came from behind, "Wait a moment." Her voice was no longer as cold as before but carried a hint of dejection.
Ah Dai turned around, facing Ice Skeleton, "What is it now?"
Remembering her prior commitment, Ice Skeleton clenched her teeth, strode up to Ah Dai, and said grudgingly, "Ice Skeleton will heed the master’s commands."
Ah Dai looked around in surprise and asked, "Who is your master?"
Ice Skeleton said coldly, "We agreed before that if you could defeat me within three moves, I would obey you from then on. Now you have done it, and you may command as you please."
Ah Dai smiled faintly, somewhat appreciative of Ice Skeleton’s adherence to her promise, "Why take a jest so seriously? I only hope that you won’t harass us anymore. We of the Evil Sky Mercenary Group just want to assist you, to complete this task together. Since we are on the same path, I do not wish for any schemes."
Ice Skeleton angrily responded, "I have always been true to my word, and once I make a pledge, I carry it out. Starting now, I, Ice Skeleton, formally leave the Skeleton Mercenary Group to serve your command, head of the Evil Sky Mercenary Group." She nearly gritted her teeth to say these words. The humiliation of being defeated in one move continually assaulted her spirit.
Observing Ice Skeleton’s demeanor and listening to her resolute words, Ah Dai realized she was serious. He glanced at Xuan Yue, showing an expression that sought help.
