Chapter 1171: Chapter 93 Divine Artifact Usage_4

Xuan Yue had actually just fallen asleep not long ago. Facing the man she loved, how could she possibly sleep? She had been watching Ah Dai sleep, and although she couldn’t see clearly in the darkness, her heart was exceptionally fulfilled. They were together again, and so intimately, that love in Xuan Yue’s heart kept growing until she could no longer resist the drowsiness and hazily leaned into his embrace to sleep.

Ah Dai rose from the bed, stretched his limbs a few times, and walked to the door. In the courtyard, Sheng Xie was still in deep sleep, digesting and absorbing the abundant nutrition from the fruits he had overeaten yesterday.

Ah Dai suddenly remembered the two books Xuan Re had brought him and went back to the room to fetch them, then sat in front of the wooden house and began to flip through them. After learning about Xuan Yue’s and the Pope’s identities last night, he truly wanted to forget Xuan Yue to avoid more pain, but could he really forget? Although he was looking at the books, his heart remained unsettled; on every page of the books, it seemed there were portraits of Yue Yue.

Half a month later, in front of the wooden house deep in the Illusive Forest, a clear shout rang out. Five Holy Light Bombs, filled with a rich sacred aura, shot from Xuan Yue’s Angel Wand and directly bombarded Ah Dai.

Ah Dai, seeing the fifth level of Holy Attack Magic, showed no panic whatsoever. With his hands behind his back and a confident gleam in his eyes, a radiant blue light shone from his chest, and a dragon-shaped energy poured forth, wrapping around his body in an instant. The sounds of patting echoed as the five Holy Light Bombs hit the blue energy accurately, exploding into a shower of light, yet they didn’t cause Ah Dai any harm.

Xuan Yue put down her magic wand, nodded in satisfaction, and said, "Big brother, you’re progressing so fast! In just a few days, you’ve already mastered the basic usage of the Divine Dragon Body Cover, the ultimate defense of Dragon’s Blood."

Ah Dai smiled and replied, "I have to thank you for your guidance! However, this Dragon God Body is truly miraculous; it can block any attack. As long as the opponent’s attack doesn’t surpass the energy of the Dragon’s Blood and my own energy, it’s hard to harm me. Unfortunately, the highest grade magic contained in the Dragon’s Blood itself is extremely draining on spiritual power. Moreover, I can only just barely use the most basic dragon form."

Xuan Yue said, "It’s already quite impressive. It’s not something that can be fully leveraged in a day or two. I’ve been practicing the Phoenix Body for so long, and I’ve only managed to make the phoenix’s form a bit clearer. When we can summon the fully formed dragon and phoenix, then we’ll truly be in control of the defensive abilities of these two Intermediate artifacts. Take it slow; we will be able to control them well one day."

A huge black shadow floated down behind Ah Dai, and the large dragon head peeked over—it was Sheng Xie. He moved up to Ah Dai, extended his front paw, and kept pointing at his own chest, blinking his big eyes continuously, looking exceptionally comical and amusing.

Ah Dai couldn’t help but laugh and said, "Xiao Qie is saying it’s the dragon I summoned!"

Xuan Yue laughed too. These days, since she had once treated Sheng Xie, it had become very close to her. She was very fond of this big fellow who was just as silly as Ah Dai. "Yes! How could we forget Xiao Qie? It’s the real dragon you’ve summoned. Big brother Ah Dai, I’ve once read about dragons in the holy scriptures, but there’s not a single one that describes a dragon like Sheng Xie. Perhaps, when Sheng Xie has fully grown, the abilities it exhibits will even surpass those of Dragon’s Blood. It’s your fifth Divine Artifact!"

Sheng Xie, looking proud, lay on the ground and placed its large head between Ah Dai and Xuan Yue, worried that they wouldn’t take it seriously.

Xuan Yue chuckled and said, "Sheng Xie, stop it. Ah Dai, big brother, go on and practice using the artifacts well so you can protect us all later!"

Previously, although Ah Dai’s martial arts hadn’t improved much during his year in the Illusive Forest, he had continuously enhanced his spiritual power to control the Artifact Gors Wish. Coupled with his previous efforts to control the surges of live energy, his spiritual power had reached near Magus level. When Xuan Yue discovered this, she was so astonished that her jaw dropped. To control magic-based Divine Artifacts like Dragon’s Blood and Ring of Guardian, one primarily needs immense spiritual power. Although Ah Dai was still not able to fully utilize the powers of these two artefacts, he had already mastered their basic uses within just a few days, an achievement far beyond what was conceivable.

In addition to being able to store items like a Spatial Bag, Dragon’s Blood had two main abilities: one was to use the amplification of Dragon’s Blood to wield Light Magic within the realm that spiritual power could control. The other was to use Dragon’s Blood’s most original energy, containing both attack and defense forms. The Divine Dragon Body Cover that Ah Dai used was its defense form, while the attack form was called Divine Dragon Reincarnation. Divine Dragon Reincarnation, like the attack Phoenix Rebirth from Phoenix’s Blood, required an overwhelming amount of spiritual power. Only those with spiritual power beyond Magus could control it. Ah Dai and Xuan Yue were far from meeting this standard, unable to use it. However, they both had learned the ultimate defense of these two artifacts. Though they were still in their nascent stages, they already demonstrated strong defensive abilities, to the point where even Ah Dai’s live energy between the second and third transformations couldn’t break through. Ah Dai clearly felt that even though Gors had used his life to forge the Artifact Gors Wish, its power was far less than that of Dragon’s Blood. Xuan Yue told him that this was the difference between primary artifacts and Intermediate artifacts.
