Chapter 1166: Chapter 92: Contradictory Mentality_4

In the evening, Ah Dai was the first to awaken, after two days of sitting meditation, he could clearly feel his power advancing. It seemed he was only one step away from breaking through to the ninth realm, but he couldn’t manage to take that last step. His Silver Body had grown to nearly two inches tall, apparently reaching the limit of its innate ability to absorb energy from the Golden Body in his chest. How could he break through this limit of energy? Ah Dai was not sure.

With a sigh in his heart, Ah Dai thought back to the single mantra of the ninth level of the Life Creation Technique: to embrace all streams. The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang had not explained its meaning to him at the beginning, merely telling him that it required personal understanding for the best effect. But with his own intellect, it was not so easy to comprehend. It seemed that he had no choice but to seek understanding through continuous cultivation. If he couldn’t break through the ninth realm, it would be very difficult to take revenge for Uncle Owen!

Opening his eyes, the first thing Ah Dai saw was Xuan Yue completely enveloped in a Holy Glow, giving off a sense of sacredness that brought peace to Ah Dai’s heart. Such strong Divine Energy! It seemed that Yue Yue’s brother was almost on par with Uncle Xuan Ye. Moreover, the Sacred Aura that radiated from him, which did not feel oppressive at all, seemed to be of a higher realm than Xuan Ye’s, more akin to the Energy exuded by the Pope. The Church really was overflowing with talent. If he were to compare himself with Xuan Re, he might not be able to win. It was no wonder that Yue Yue had never mentioned him before; he must have been undergoing harsh training with the Pope. I wonder how Yue Yue is doing now? If she has even half of her brother’s power, she should be able to protect herself. Xuan Re and Yue Yue really do look alike, just with a larger stature, truly worthy of being twins. He must understand Yue Yue very well. When he wakes up, maybe I can ask about how Yue Yue has been these past few years. Yue Yue has been thinking of me all this time! She even gave me the Church’s precious scriptures. Yue Yue, do you know? I miss you too! How I wish I could be your follower for life, but our statuses are too different. Though I want to protect you forever by your side, I can’t. All I can do is silently bless you from the shadows. With these thoughts, Ah Dai couldn’t help but let out a deep sigh, gently shaking his head.

Perhaps sensing the sorrow in Ah Dai’s heart, Xuan Yue woke up from her cultivation, and two brilliant lights shone from her eyes. Ah Dai, sitting opposite her, immediately felt a jolt throughout his body, a calming sensation spreading instantly, as a warm and thick energy enveloped both him and Xuan Yue. Under the illumination of the Holy Glow, Ah Dai felt a hint of enlightenment towards Magic.

"Big Brother Ah Dai, what’s wrong? Is something bothering you?"

Ah Dai shook his head, saying, "It’s nothing. Brother Xuan Re, your Magic Ability is really powerful! You must have reached the strength of a Magus by now."

Xuan Yue was taken aback, having never considered what level she had reached since she started training with the Pope. She replied with a smile, "I’m not sure, maybe I have. But you know, the body of a Magician is very fragile, even though I’m protected by the Phoenix’s Blood, it’s still not that safe. When we travel across the continent together, you have to take good care of me!"

Ah Dai gave a wry smile, "Are you really planning to come with me to find the Assassin’s Guild?"

Xuan Yue nodded, "Of course, it’s my sister’s wish as well as mine. You can just think of me as her. I’m representing her to travel with you, and when we get back home, I’ll have to tell her all about our adventures."

Ah Dai’s expression changed slightly, and he thought to himself with a bitter smile, how can you replace Yue Yue? Even though you look so similar, you are not the same person, not to mention that you are male. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Xuan Yue, seemingly deep in thought and not noticing the change in Ah Dai’s expression, finally said, "Big Brother Ah Dai, I don’t think you should be in a hurry to seek revenge."

Ah Dai snapped out of his reverie, "Why? Revenge is my only desire right now."

Xuan Yue smiled, "Don’t be impatient! I just said don’t rush into revenge, not that you shouldn’t seek it. You know that with your current strength, you can’t stand against the entire Assassin’s Guild alone. If you want to deal with them, you must greatly enhance your own power. The Assassin’s Guild isn’t going anywhere, it’s better to wait until you’re powerful enough to annihilate them in one blow, isn’t it? I think your deceased uncle wouldn’t want to see you throw your life away either." Actually, she had her own selfish reasons for saying this. If Ah Dai went for revenge, their time together would inevitably not be as relaxed as before. She knew that although the Pope had allowed her to find Ah Dai, there was always a time limit, and if something happened in the Church or her parents were too anxious to find her, grandfather might not protect her anymore. In order to secure more time for a peaceful coexistence with Ah Dai, she had come up with this plan. She secretly decided that she must establish her relationship with Ah Dai before the Church came to take her back. As long as Ah Dai truly loved her, even if everyone objected, she would be determined to stay with him without regard to the consequences.
