Chapter 1142: Chapter 87: Goris’s Wish_5

He took out the last page of the letter Goris had left him and, following the method recorded on it, walked over to the giant cauldron. Squatting down, he crawled under the cauldron and there he found a protruding rock. Pressing down on the rock, he twisted it three times to the left. With a clicking sound, the squatting Ah Dai felt his body shifting as a slab of stone beneath his feet, carrying his body, slid out toward the wall that was hung with various utensils. While Ah Dai was stunned, a crack appeared in the wall, and with the force of the moving stone slab, he was thrust into the crack. Darkness surrounded him, and Ah Dai distinctly felt his body rising diagonally forward with the movement of the stone slab beneath his feet. After a moment, a sliver of light suddenly shined from above. Before he was fully prepared, his body emerged into a mist. Ah Dai was startled, and his martial spirit surged up under his deliberate control to protect his body. Looking around, Ah Dai was delighted to discover that he was actually in a fruit orchard. Looking at the flipped stone slab beside him, he stepped out. As soon as he left, the bush-covered stone slab slowly closed, leaving no trace of a crack when viewed from the outside. Ah Dai, well-versed in Goris’s notes, knew that this exit was absolutely impossible to open from the outside.

The fruits around him looked so familiar. Because they hadn’t been picked for many years, they grew exceptionally lush. The sight of the large fruits of various colors made Ah Dai feel as if he had returned to seven years ago. He plucked a purple fruit beside him, its fragrant scent penetrating his body. This was his favorite purple cloud fruit! He took a bite, sucking the sweet juice from the fruit. A cool stream flowed into his body, instantly invigorating his spirits. Contemplating the tranquil beauty of his surroundings, Ah Dai silently resolved to observe a year of mourning here for Goris before seeking out the Assassin’s Guild to avenge Owen. If there truly was a millennium calamity threatening the continent, then he would do all he could. If nothing changed, he would return here to live out his days. With this thought, Ah Dai’s mood brightened, and he danced through the orchard like a butterfly, with sweet fruits continually satisfying his hunger. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Eleven months later, April of the year 997 in the Holy Calendar. The Holy Church.

Xuan Yue stretched her graceful body as she walked out from the Temple of Light. Two years had passed since she had received the God’s baptism, and she had made substantial progress in that time. She had far exceeded the Pope’s expectations. In just two years, she had already surpassed the level of the White Robe Priest. No matter how complex the spell or how difficult the magic was to control, she could learn it at several times the speed of an average person. Especially in terms of magic power, she advanced rapidly, and the current Xuan Yue was no longer the girl who had just the abilities of a Junior Magician and relied solely on a Divine Artifact. Her Holy Magic had reached the realm of Magus, completely on par with the White Robe Priest of the Church.

The bright sunshine fell on Xuan Yue’s beautiful face, her exquisite visage bathed in light, overflowing with a Sacred Aura, resembling an inviolable Goddess. Every movement of hers was filled with stunning grace. Now taller than her mother at around 1.75 meters, she was not at all lesser in stature than an average man. Her waterfall-like blue hair cascaded down her back, tumbling past her knees. If she was still a pretty little girl three years ago, now she had developed into a strikingly beautiful woman. Although she was wrapped in the wide robe of a Goddess, it could not conceal her proud figure. Xuan Yue gazed unflinchingly at the dazzling sun, her mind and body immersed in tranquility. In the past few days, her Holy Magic seemed to have improved once again. Aside from a few Level Eight Magic spells that had high requirements for magic power, she had basically learned all of the Church’s Holy Magic and the Space Magic contained within the Phoenix’s Blood.

"Eh, Yue Yue, is that really you? Long time no see!" A surprised and clear voice woke Xuan Yue from her tranquility. She turned slightly to see a tall youth. The young man wore a white outfit, the trimmings at the edges of his white surcoat embroidered in gold thread, broad-shouldered and with a Longsword hanging at his waist, in the standard attire of a Judge of Light of the Court of Justice, wearing a surprised smile as he strode quickly towards Xuan Yue. The role of a Judge of Light was second only to the Judgment Chief and the Holy Judge in the Court of Justice, and they were the backbone of the Court. Any Judge that could reach this level had achieved a high realm in martial arts.

Xuan Yue frowned slightly, momentarily failing to recognize the somewhat familiar face before her. She muttered, "Who are you? What brings you to the Temple of Light? This isn’t a place for people from the Court of Justice." Her voice was indifferent, without any fluctuation of emotion.
