Chapter 1120: Chapter 82: Leaving the Church_5
Suddenly, a sharp wind swooped in from not far ahead, Ah Dai, unable to stop his momentum, would have been hit if he hadn’t acts quickly. Out of necessity, he managed to free one hand and pushed it against the ground, changing his forward rush into an ascent, floating upwards and dodging the attack. More than ten elves appeared before him, two of whom were Elf Mages chanting spells, while the others drew their bows, poised as if facing a great enemy.
Ah Dai, in great urgency, used his spiritual energy to amplify his voice, "Stop, take me to Elf City quickly, Princess Xing Er is in peril."
The elves paused, bewildered; they had just seen Ah Dai holding an elf in his arms and had mistaken him for a poacher, hence their attack. Hearing his explanation, the leading elf stopped his kinsmen from launching an impending attack and asked suspiciously, "You say you are holding Princess Xing Er? What is your name?" Most of the elves, including him, had never seen Ah Dai and his companions.
Sweat beaded on Ah Dai’s forehead as he spoke vehemently, "I’m Ah Dai, entrusted by the Elf Queen to bring Princess Xing Er back; her Bloodline of Elf King is fading fast. Move aside, we must get to Elf City as quickly as possible." If the elves had continued to delay him, an anxious Ah Dai was ready to resort to force.
Fortunately, after returning from Sunset City to the Elf Forest, the Elf Queen had informed all her people of the mission to rescue the Elf Princess and had ordered them to report immediately should they see Ah Dai bringing the princess back. Relieved by Ah Dai’s words, the suspicion of the leading elf vanished, and he hastily said, "Sorry, we didn’t know it was the princess your highness, hurry, we will lead the way." With that, he commanded his subordinates to float ahead, guiding Ah Dai. Without their guidance, Ah Dai would have never found his way through the maze-like Elf Forest to Elf City.
Finally, they passed through the barrier set up by the Elf Clan, and Ah Dai once again beheld the beautiful Elf City. The pure Elf Lake Water, infiltrated by sunlight pouring through the tall trees, shimmered enticingly. Ah Dai felt Princess Xing Er in his arms shivering continuously. Resolved, he enveloped her petite frame entirely with his spiritual energy and hurled her vigorously toward the lake next to the Elf ancient tree. Wrapped in a white light, she arched through the air and landed precisely in the lake water with a splash, sending water flying in all directions. Watching Princess Xing Er fall into the lake, Ah Dai finally relaxed a bit, his continuous frantic running combined with his worry had left him physically and mentally exhausted, and he gasped for breath heavily. He was still unsure whether Princess Xing Er’s Bloodline of Elf King had been preserved, especially since he had used his spiritual energy to force her back into slumber just as she was about to awaken.
The elf leading the way, seeing Ah Dai throw Xing Er into the lake, became angry and shouted, "What are you doing?"
Between breaths, Ah Dai explained, "Her Bloodline of Elf King is disappearing; she must absorb the Spiritual Energy from the Lake of Elves."
The elf soared up, flying towards where Xing Er had fallen into the water, while saying, "Elves cannot swim, and the princess is still unconscious; what if you drown her?"
Startled, Ah Dai was about to respond when he saw five figures flying out from the Elf ancient tree, one of whom was the Elf Queen. She flew directly above the lake and with a flash of green light, Xing Er’s water-soaked body was scooped up by her. Ah Dai leaped into the air, tapping the water’s surface several times and floated over to the Elf Queen next to the Elf ancient tree, grabbing onto a hanging vine he said to the Elf Queen, "Aunt, please check quickly, I fear for Princess Xing Er’s Bloodline of Elf King..."
