Chapter 109: Chapter 26 Tilu Temple_3

Everything went black before their eyes, and all the specks of light disappeared. Ah Dai and Xuan Yue were startled when the light suddenly reappeared and all their senses came back. The pulling force from Prophet Pu Lin had also ceased. Ah Dai and Xuan Yue found themselves in a corridor. Beneath their feet was a large golden six-pointed star, embedded with numerous complex symbols. Ah Dai couldn’t understand them, and even Xuan Yue, who was from the Holy Church, couldn’t make them out. The walls of the corridor were embedded with fist-sized red gems, faintly glowing. With their eyesight, Ah Dai and Xuan Yue could barely make out anything more than ten meters away. Xuan Yue knew these red gems to be Fire Cloud Stones; not highly valuable, indeed, but it was still astonishing to see so many large ones appear at once. Moreover, the Fire Cloud Stones could only emit light when supported by magic power. It was evident that the Tilu Temple held many secrets.

Prophet Pu Lin stood there as if everything were normal, not saying a word. Xuan Yue, suddenly anxious, instinctively cast the most basic illumination spell of light series. However, she was shocked to discover that the surrounding air seemed void of any magical elements, and no matter how she chanted the spell, there were no signs of magical fluctuations emerging.

"Child, stop trying. Besides me, no one can use magic here. This place is, one could say, my domain." With that said, he waved his wooden staff again, and a surge of wind elements emerged in the previously empty corridor. It gently lifted the three of them and slowly moved them deeper into the corridor. A red Fire Cloud Stone appeared on the walls every hundred meters or so, providing a small amount of light. Xuan Yue knew that Prophet Pu Lin’s magical abilities had reached a profound realm. The magic he used earlier might have been the Magic Teleportation Array, a skill said to surpass even the abilities of her father! And now, he was able to utilize a wind series spell in an area void of any magical elements, seemingly without any effort. This greatly astonished her. Ah Dai was equally shocked by everything that happened but did not speak the whole time. For some inexplicable reason, he had his trust placed in Pu Lin, leaving him fearless amid these events.

After an unknown amount of time passed, the wind element dissipated, and the trio landed on the ground. In front of them were two giant stone doors. Guarding each side of the door stood a Tilu warrior. Unlike the Tilu fighters outside, these two warriors were not only significantly taller, but their armors also emanated a faint gold glow. As the trio landed, the warriors crossed their long-handled battle axes, blocking their path. A formidable and grim aura radiated from the two Tilu warriors, enveloping the trio. The immense pressure made Ah Dai and Xuan Yue almost breathless. They couldn’t harbor any hopes of resistance because the two Tilu warriors were too formidable; their overwhelming pressure prevented Ah Dai and Xuan Yue from moving.

Priest Pu Lin stood there, seemingly oblivious to Ah Dai and Xuan Yue’s condition. Nor did the Tilu warriors’ pressuring aura seem to affect him.

The enormous pressure gradually took a toll on Ah Dai and Xuan Yue’s bodies. Seeing Xuan Yue in agony, Ah Dai let out a roar, pushing his Qi level to the maximum. A faint, white halo emerged from his body, protecting him and Xuan Yue.

In an instant, Xuan Yue felt lighter, and her body regained mobility. She turned to Ah Dai only to see him half-kneeling on the ground, with sweat dripping from his forehead. The white halo in front of them was constantly trembling, making her realize that Ah Dai was bearing all the pressure on his own. Her heart was not only filled with gratitude but also realization; all of it was for her sake! Without any hesitation, she took out the Phoenix’s Blood from her collar.

Seemingly sensing danger, the Phoenix’s Blood began to glow a peculiar shade of red, merging with Ah Dai’s white battle aura, resisting the immense pressure.

Ah Dai, who had initially hit his limit, felt a surge of relief when the Phoenix’s Blood began sharing part of the pressure. Amidst the danger, he instinctively had placed his hand on the hilt of the Sword of Hades. The cold and evil aura emanating from the sword enveloped them in a faint grey light, along with the Phoenix’s Blood’s red glow. Helped by the white, grey, and red lights, all pressure was kept around three feet away from Ah Dai and Xuan Yue.

The two Tilu warriors sensed the changes and raised their long-handled battle axes, poised to strike.

Both Ah Dai and Xuan Yue were alarmed. If the powerful warriors attacked them when they were already worn out from the pressure, they couldn’t imagine the consequences. Xuan Yue opened her mouth, preparing to chant the strongest spell of Phoenix’s Blood, while Ah Dai took a stance to utilize the Sword of Hades. Ah Dai was well aware that the evil force of the Sword of Hades wouldn’t harm Xuan Yue who was protected by the Phoenix’s Blood. He was also not worried about the fathomless Prophet Pu Lin. All he had to do was face the two immensely powerful warriors.
