Chapter 1086: Chapter 76: The Melody of Growth

The Elf Queen finally ceased chanting the spell, her eyes snapping open with two beams of emerald light shooting forth. She took a deep breath as the four Elf Envoys surrounding her appeared exceptionally exhausted. The Elf Queen bit through the middle finger on her right hand, allowing a drop of emerald blood to flow out. She rapidly traced complex trajectories around the drop with green energy, the blood instantly enveloped by intricate Elf Symbols. The Elf Queen chanted, "O inheritors of the Bloodline of the Elf King! Invoke the spiritual energy between heaven and earth, O great Earth God! Please, with your merciful heart, show pity to those lives growing upon your body, Forbidden: The Awakening Melody of growth of the Elves." With the completion of the spell, all the green light furiously converged toward the drop of Elf blood wrapped in Elf symbols, transforming into a pale green orb momentarily. The Little Elf on the Elf Queen’s shoulder struggled to lift the green orb.

The Elf Queen’s face turned somewhat pale as she sighed, "Grow with the melody." With a delicate wave of her slender hand, the green orb, infused with energy from the Heart of the Elves, drifted away and vanished into the night sky.

The Heart of the Elves returned to the Elf Queen’s body, her delicate frame staggering as she flapped her wings to maintain balance, smiling, she said, "The Melody of Growth can sustain for over an hour, that time is sufficient. In five minutes, go and rescue Xing’er."

Within The Imperial Palace of the Sunset Empire.

In a grandiose room, Elf Princess Xing’er was idly gazing at the stars outside the window, her heart filled with desolation. She really regretted her previous playful antics that allowed evildoers to seize an opportunity. After being captured by those clad in black, she had fainted, and upon waking up found herself in this room. Everything here was splendid, yet she liked nothing at all. Since arriving here, she had never left the room, her movement restricted by the delicate chains on her feet. She vividly remembered trying to escape when she first woke up, but then, an old man with white hair appeared; uttering a few indistinct spells, her body was bound, unable to move, and not even the Elf Bloodline could invoke any elf spells. After the old man left, a seemingly handsome young man arrived, dressed lavishly, and although he was good-looking, an evil aura in his expression repulsed her.

Recalling that man caused Xing’er’s pretty face to flush. Initially, he had pretended to be gentle, speaking in terms too complex to understand, but later, he seemed angered by her disregard. He was really detestable! He even tried to undress her, clearly no good man; no wonder her mother said the outside world was dangerous and humans had nothing good. Fortunately, her Elf Bloodline protected her body in time. The natural vitality of the Bloodline of the Elf King prevented him from coming near. Finding himself helpless, the young man had left. When he returned, he brought that detestable old man with him. That old man used several methods to try to break her Bloodline of the Elf King, but they only managed to weaken its energy somewhat. The handsome youth seemed very eager to do something to her, but again failed. He exhausted all methods trying to trick her, but at that time, she only wanted to return to the Elf Forest, so how could she have been deceived? After all, she was already eighty years old—although not much in Elf terms, in human terms that was considered quite old.

That old man was detestable; he seemed to know the secret of her bloodline, signaling a three with his hand to the young man and then speaking in Tian Yuan Clan dialect, which she understood, told her that "Three years later will be when you lose your power." Although the young man did not bother her again after that, she still felt a deep sense of crisis. Alas—time passed day by day. The Power of the Elf within her gradually weakened. If she couldn’t soon receive the vibrant energy from the Elf ancient tree, she might not be able to inherit her mother’s position of the Elf Queen. Her mother had only one daughter, her; what could she possibly do? Could the Elves really end with her? No, it couldn’t be, the Elf Clan that had continued for thousands of years couldn’t perish because of her. It was all her fault, all her fault. Filled with regret, Xing’er couldn’t help but let her tears flow, crying sorrowfully.

Just then, she suddenly felt an extremely familiar energy—a comforting sensation. The nearly depleted Bloodline of the Elf King within her seemed revitalized.

Xing’er looked toward the distant night sky, her blood boiling, her whole body trembling with tension. This energy was too familiar. Ah! It was, it was her mother’s energy! It must be her mother, her mother was here to save her. Bursting up from the bed, hope flooded her once despairing heart. She silently prayed, "Mother, mother, please save Xing’er! Xing’er will listen to you and won’t be naughty anymore." The familiar energy fluctuation suddenly intensified, so much that Xing’er was startled, her sealed energy stirring restlessly. If not for the chained shackles with restrictions on her feet, she felt she might be able to use the power of the Elves once again.
