Chapter 1049: Chapter 68: Bloodbath Among the Dark Nobles_2

Ah Dai didn’t linger and floated towards the Wealth Hall on the second floor. At the entrance to the Wealth Hall, eight young girls were still standing; perhaps because it had gotten late, a look of fatigue could be seen on their faces.

Watching their attire, Ah Dai was reminded of the first time he saw Ice, standing blankly at the top of the staircase, looking somewhat foolish.

The girls noticed his presence and, looking at Ah Dai’s peculiar outfit, while surprised, they had clearly better manners than the maids on the first floor. One of the attendants walked over to Ah Dai with a charming smile and said, "Sir, would you like to have some fun? Your outfit is really interesting. What kind of fabric is this? Is it a new style? It looks like scales."

Ah Dai spoke indifferently, "Tell me, where is Manager Jin Bo? I need him for something."

The girl frowned and responded, "Sir, we can’t just divulge the manager’s whereabouts. Can you tell me what you need Jin Bo for?"

A corner of Ah Dai’s mouth lifted into a faint smile, "You’ll find out. It’s alright if you don’t say; I can find him myself." As he spoke, he strode towards the Wealth Hall. Ah Dai’s chilling aura prevented the eight girls from stopping him as he pushed open the grand door. He looked around the deserted Wealth Hall and called out to the attending bodyguards and guards, "Whoever tells me the whereabouts of Jin Bo will get to live."

The bodyguards exchanged glances and then, raising a collective shout, charged at Ah Dai.

The outcome in the Wealth Hall was similar to that in the lower Wealth Hall, all the men died under Ah Dai’s Life Transformation, and by the time Ah Dai left the Wealth Hall, the eight girls at the door had already vanished, clearly shocked by the killing they had just witnessed. A similar event took place in the Noble Hall on the third floor, with no patrons around, and the bodyguards and casino staff clearly more skilled than those below, Ah Dai took some effort, resorting to the versatile Life Transformation to completely deal with them. When he killed the last person, a sense of blood-lust suddenly surged in his heart, and the pressure in his chest seemed to dissipate somewhat.

With a cold laugh and flicking the blood off his hands, Ah Dai turned and exited the Noble Hall, standing quietly at the entrance. He believed that having killed so many, Jin Bo would surely show himself; all he had to do was wait.

The main reason Ah Dai could so smoothly "cleanse" the three gambling halls of Dark Posh Nightclub was that all the experts had been taken away by Horton. Horton hadn’t died in Sheng Xie’s spell because he returned to the City Lord’s Mansion to dispatch troops and now, with the situation in Dark City so tense, he needed the protection of experts to feel secure.

Ah Dai stood in place, gently stroking the Sword of Hades strapped to his chest. Hearing a rush of footsteps, a glint of cold light flashed in his eyes, knowing the person he was waiting for had come. Indeed, as the footsteps drew closer, the familiar figure of Jin Bo eventually appeared within Ah Dai’s sight, followed by over twenty fully-armed bodyguards. Jin Bo flew into a rage when he heard from the attendants that someone was causing trouble. Annoyed by the event from the previous night which led to a drastic reduction of patrons and income today, he hurried over with his men, fuming. As he witnessed the carnage in the first-floor Wealth Hall, he was deeply shaken; he knew the strength of his men well enough to recognise that anyone who could kill all of them so efficiently, with fatal precision, must possess profound power. When he encountered the same scene on the second floor’s Wealth Hall, his scalp tingled with alarm, but as a trusted subordinate of Horton, he couldn’t afford to back down now, so he steeled himself and led his men to the third floor. Climbing the stairs, Jin Bo immediately spotted Ah Dai standing at the entrance to the Noble Hall. Ah Dai’s changed attire meant Jin Bo did not recognize him immediately. However, discerning the intense killing intent emanating from Ah Dai, Jin Bo knew he was the one who had come to wreak havoc. Gritting his teeth, Jin Bo approached Ah Dai with his men, "Brother, I’m not sure what deep hatred or grievance you have with our Dark Posh Nightclub to have resorted to such ruthless actions, killing so many of our people."

Ah Dai said flatly, "Jin Bo, don’t you remember me? I’m the Magician Ah Dai that you sought to harm, no, I should be called Grim Reaper Ah Dai now. Our enmity is as deep as the ocean, and your evil souls need to be cleansed. The ones who died before are merely your examples."

Jin Bo’s heart trembled; others might not have known what last night’s golden light was, but he had an idea. He understood clearly that the devastating energy that obliterated hundreds of square kilometers had been released by Ah Dai and his group. Now, he had come for vengeance, and he had come for him. Thinking of this, Jin Bo’s body began to tremble slightly, his voice becoming somewhat rigid, "Ah Dai, honored guest, it wasn’t me; I, I don’t know what happened!"

Ah Dai narrowed his eyes, their icy glint sweeping over everyone before him like blades, "You don’t know? You are Horton’s close confidant; you would know. Tell me, where is Horton now? Where is the Catwoman?" The oppressive aura radiating from him filled Jin Bo and his bodyguard retinue with dread. Jin Bo said tremblingly, "I, I can’t tell you, if I do, I will die a horrific death."
