Chapter 1015: Chapter 61 Temptation, Temptation_2

Ah Dai was most afraid of women crying. He hurriedly explained, "No, I don’t dislike you, it’s just that you’re so close to me, I’m a bit uncomfortable. Please don’t cry, others might think I bullied you."

The girl’s sadness turned into joy, she moved slightly away from Ah Dai but her delicate body still touched his arm, only it was not as seductive as before. Ah Dai sighed in relief and felt too embarrassed to dodge any further. The girls next to Yan Shi and Yan Li were doing the same, and Yan Li’s earlier clarity had clearly been disrupted by this overwhelming temptation. His hefty arm wrapped around the girl’s waist again, occasionally pinching her hips; the girl just blushed but did not evade and let him take his liberties. Yan Shi was resisting like Ah Dai but the death of his beloved wife Yun Er had struck him too hard; even though the girl in front of him was excellent in both figure and appearance, she still couldn’t move his frozen heart. He unceremoniously pushed the girl aside and snapped coldly, "Stay away from me." The girl cried out softly, nearly falling, her eyes reddened and tears immediately began to flow. Yan Shi, as if he hadn’t seen it, instructed the girl next to Ah Dai, "Place a thousand Gold Coins on thirty-six."

The girl beside Ah Dai subtly reacted, glanced at Ah Dai, and obediently placed the chip worth a thousand Gold Coins on position thirty-six. The type of roulette here was exactly the same as in Uncle Fatty’s casino, even the payouts were the same.

The other two gamblers, seeing Yan Shi betting on a single number, revealed a disdainful expression; one bet on a white square representing even numbers, and the other placed his money on multiples of three.

The dealer was a man in his forties, completely ordinary in appearance, with nothing special to look at. He displayed no emotion on his face when he saw Yan Shi bet on the straight-up. In terms of professionalism, he was much superior to the dealer at Uncle Fatty’s place. He shouted, "No more bets," and then spun the roulette. Like he had at Uncle Fatty’s casino, Ah Dai quietly activated the True Qi within his body and extended it towards the underside of the roulette. To his surprise, he found that beneath the wheel was a large box filled with water. The water rippled gently and the energy Ah Dai had sent vibrated constantly making it hard for him to find the right spot. Ah Dai wondered if this casino might be cheat-proof.

The girl beside Ah Dai kept her head low, feeling the subtle energy fluctuations from his body. A glint of cold light flashed in her eyes, her previous coquettishness completely gone, though Ah Dai and the others didn’t notice.

Ah Dai certainly wasn’t ready to give up, though the base underneath the roulette was all filled with water, there was still the wooden box containing the water. He carefully moved his energy through the wooden box gradually and just as the roulette was about to stop, he successfully probed beneath it. With his control over the energy strands, he successfully dragged the wooden ball into the niche of thirty-six.

"Ah—" the other two gamblers exclaimed in surprise, as this round, unusually, the house paid out to everyone. Both men had staked a thousand Gold Coins each and now had a substantial gain. Of course, the biggest winner was Yan Shi, who quickly won twenty-five thousand Gold Coins from his one thousand Gold Coin stake.

Emboldened by his successful trial, Yan Shi glanced at Ah Dai, a look of encouragement flashing in his eyes, and unhesitatingly instructed the girl to put all seventy-five thousand chips again on thirty-six. The dealer, who had been keeping his head down all this time, slowly lifted his head and stared intensely at Yan Shi, his eyes flashing ominously, and a faint smile creeping onto his lips as if to say, "come at me if you dare." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Yan Shi naturally wasn’t intimidated by the dealer’s expression. He smiled lightly, his arms crossed in front of his chest. Seeing Yan Shi placing such a large bet, the other two gamblers were also stunned, but they didn’t follow his lead, instead sticking to their previous bets. The dealer, without hesitation, declared, "No more bets," and spun the wheel with considerable force.

Ah Dai stuck to his old trick, sending an energy strand under the roulette, but as soon as his energy touched the wheel, a powerful force from the other side struck suddenly, instantly blocking the energy strand he had sent. Ah Dai was taken aback and looked up only to see the dealer with his hands pressed against the table behind the wheel, his eyes fiercely shining as he stared at Yan Shi. Ah Dai immediately realized the opposing energy must be coming from the dealer, who was no weakling. Clearly, he was a formidable adversary, but since his hands were on the table, it seemed his power was not as great as his own.

Refusing to let the bet they had placed be lost, Ah Dai quietly activated the Silver Body in his Dantian. His output of continuously changing True Qi became sharply intense, easily breaking through the dealer’s block and successfully reaching beneath the roulette. The dealer’s face changed significantly as his strength was broken; he grunted and took a step back. By then, the roulette was close to stopping, the wood ball bouncing steadily. Just as Ah Dai was about to drag the ball into the slot, he suddenly felt a sharp burst of energy coming from the girl clinging to him. As he hadn’t strengthened his protective energy for fear of it spilling out, the sharp burst easily broke through his defenses. Ah Dai grunted irritably, anger surging in his heart as he swiftly ramped up the energy of his Silver Body to its highest, his body emitting a faint white glow that flickered and then vanished, nullifying the invading energy. Just as the wooden ball was about to fall into slot thirty-eight, he fiercely pulled it down, successfully keeping the ball in slot thirty-six.
