Chapter 87: Business
Tang Yin did not bring out all of the items on him, this would attract suspicion and greed. "I want to sell a Tier 9 Training Manual." Tang Yin said while bringing out a book from his storage ring.
The shopkeeper was shocked, it was very rare for people to sell Training Manuals. However, this was only a Tier 9 Training Manual, it wasn’t very valuable compared to other Training Manuals.
"If the Training Manual is complete, I can offer you 20 High-grade Spirit Stones. If the Training Manual is missing a few pages, I can only offer 5 High-grade Spirit Stones." The shopkeeper contemplated deeply before responding, this was a very large transaction.
Tang Yin’s expression did not change, but the shock and excitement within his heart were immense. "The Training Manual is complete." Tang Yin stated.
The shopkeeper did not check the Training Manual or take it, he said, "I do not have 20 High-grade Spirit Stones with me, I’ll need to go and get them, please wait a moment." The shopkeeper got up and left the room, he returned a moment later with 20 High-grade Spirit Stones.
Tang Yin took the 20 High-grade Spirit Stones and put it away into his storage ring. The shopkeeper took the Training Manual and stated, "Thank you for considering our Lei family first to sell this Tier 9 Training Manual. If you have any other items you would like to sell in the future, please consider us first."
Tang Yin nodded. He left the room alongside the shopkeeper. In his heart he sneered, he had felt a stern gaze locked onto him since the shopkeeper returned with the 20 High-grade Spirit Stones. He knew it was a Spirit Vein Condensation Realm shopkeeper from the third floor.
Tang Yin displayed a clueless expression, he walked out of the store. Tang Yin felt the gaze disappear as soon as he left the store, he understood that the owner of that gaze only wanted to identify him.
Tang Yin did not return to the Inn, he headed to different stores belonging to Rank 2 families to sell some of the herbs, ores and materials he had gained from the Shan family’s treasury.
After a long day of selling a few of his unwanted items, Tang Yin returned to the inn. He had amassed quite a lot of Mid-grade Spirit Stones from selling the herbs, ores and materials.
The next morning, Tang Yin headed out. He did not go to sell his items, instead, he wandered around the city. He mostly paid attention to any cultivators selling Gambling Stones. From his observations, the Gambling Stones were very cheap, and most cultivators ignored them as anyone selling Gambling Stones on the streets were labelled as frauds.
Usually, frauds were expelled from the city, but Gambling Stones were a gamble. Nobody knew if one contained anything within, therefore nobody could say that these cultivators selling Gambling Stones on the street were frauds as some might actually be selling genuine Gambling Stones.
However, over countless years of cultivators buying Gambling Stones from the streets and not finding any treasures, most people knew that Gambling Stones obtained from the streets were most likely fake or contained nothing.
Tang Yin used the Heaven Piercing Gaze during the whole day to observe the Gambling Stones he walked passed, most of them did not contain anything. Surprisingly, he had actually found a Gambling Stone containing a small needle inside of it. The owner of the Gambling Stone was clueless, Tang Yin cheaply brought the Gambling Stone under the mocking gazes of the cultivators passing by. Most cultivators who saw Tang Yin buying the Gambling Stone looked at him in pity but did not say anything. Clearly, they all thought he had fallen for the scam.
Only Tang Yin knew that the Gambling Stone everyone deemed as fake, including the cultivator selling it, really housed an item inside of it. The only problem was that he did not know if there was a special method that needed to be utilized to open the Gambling Stone. Therefore, he stored the Gambling Stone inside his storage ring and returned to the inn.
When Tang Yin returned to the inn, he brought out the Gambling Stone and scrutinized it very carefully. There were no circular veins around it, nor was there any abnormal flow of Qi. The Gambling Stone looked like any ordinary stone. If Tang Yin did not have the Heaven Piercing Gaze, he would have thought it was a normal rock.
After a few moments, Tang Yin put the Gambling Stone away into his storage ring. He could not find anything off about the Gambling Stone, it looked like any normal stone.
He went straight to bed, he wanted to have a nice sleep for once.
The next morning Tang Yin went to Lei’s Disposal once again, this time he had changed his appearance to an old man who looked as if he had one foot in the grave. He did not restrain his cultivation this time, he let it remain at the 7th stage of the Physique Transformation Realm.
When Tang Yin reached the second floor, he was greeted by a different shopkeeper this time. He was swiftly led to an isolated room, the room was identical to the one had gone to previously.
"Fellow cultivator, what would you like to sell to our Lei family?" The shopkeeper asked. Tang Yin shook his head and stated, "I can only make this transaction with a Spirit Vein Condensation Realm cultivator, please take me to a Senior. The business this time is very large."
