Chapter 63: Nie Family’s Patriarch
Before the disciple could even speak, Nie Jin’s voice appeared. "Fellow cultivator, please enter." He used an extremely polite tone, many speculations rose in Tang Yin’s mind.
Tang Yin entered the room, everything was the same as before, nothing had changed even a single bit. Tang Yin had even used the Heaven Piercing Gaze to inspect the room for any minute changes, but he could not find any.
However, something felt off, but he could not pinpoint anything specific, it was like a surreal feeling. Tang Yin sat down before Nie Jin without any changes to his usual demeanour.
"What business does Fellow Cultivator have for the Nie family today?" Nie Jin asked in a very courteous manner, Tang Yin was sceptical but still replied, "My master would like me to sell a Demonic Beast corpse, I thought this would be the ideal place."
"Alright, the Nie family will accept all and any high-quality Demonic Beast corpses and materials." Nie Jin replied with assurance. Tang Yin opened his storage ring and presented all the containers which contained parts of the Toxic Tarantula.
"These are the body parts of the High-tier Rank 2 Toxic Tarantula!" Nie Jin shouted in shock, even the Nie family patriarch would have a hard time dealing with a Toxic Tarantula, let alone securing every single valuable material in its body in complete form.
"How much does Fellow cultivator value the body parts of the Toxic Tarantula?" Tang Yin asked with a smirk when he saw the shocked expression of Nie Jin.
"Hm, I can purchase all the body parts of the Toxic Tarantula for 50 Mid-grade Spirit Stones." Nie Jin replied after quelling his shock and contemplating for a moment.
"It’s too low, I want 65 Mid-grade Spirit Stones." Tang Yin declared without any change in his voice as if the price was not up for negotiation. "This..." Nie Jin hesitated, 65 Mid-grade Spirit Stones was a large sum, even though he did not have complete authority to give away that many Spirit Stones.
"Alright, deal." An extremely ancient voice that contained the vicissitudes of life resounded throughout the entire room. Tang Yin was stunned, Nie Jin did not have any change of expression as if he knew the origin of the voice was present since the beginning.
The door opened with a slight creak, what appeared In Tang Yin’s sight was an old man with grey hair. The old man had long grey hair which dropped to his waist. He had large white luxurious robes, his posture was also one of a leader, and his hands were behind his back as if the world was beneath him. He gave off the aura of a sage.
"Greetings, Patriarch" Nie Jin cupped his fist in his palm and bowed towards the old man. Tang Yin’s suspicions were confirmed upon hearing Nie Jin’s respectful voice. The old man with grey hair before him was the Patriarch of the Nie family.
The Nie Family Patriarch gave Tang Yin a good deep look, he could not see through the disguise of the Heaven Deceiving Art, Tang Yin had restrained his aura to a 9th stage Spirit Channelling Realm cultivator.
The Nie Family Patriarch swept up the containers which contained the body parts of the Toxic Tarantula and stored them within his storage ring. He then lifted his hand and 65 Mid-grade Spirit Stones appeared on the large table.
Tang Yin remained cautious, he used the Heaven Piercing Gaze to determine that the Spirit Stones had not been tampered with before storing them away in his storage ring.
"Since the transaction has been concluded, let’s get down to real business." Nie Family’s Patriarch declared to Tang Yin, he did not show the extreme politeness that Nie Jin showed. Clearly, Tang Yin was just an insignificant junior to him. The only person that mattered was the mysterious master behind him.
"What business?" Tang Yin questioned in doubt. "I am the Patriarch of the Nie family, I would like to officially invite your master to join the Nie family as a Guest Elder. With the title of a Guest Elder, your master will not be restricted, he can choose to leave the Nie family at any time. If your master decides to join the Nie family, he will receive an abundant number of resources monthly. The Nie family will not get involved in the personal business of your master."
"I only ask that In return, your master can lend a helping hand to the Nie family during any future threats." The Nie Family Patriarch offered a deal to Tang Yin’s ’Master’, he had even explained everything clearly which would leave no chance of any doubts or questions. Even Tang Yin was somewhat tempted by this offer.
The Nie Family Patriarch had offered the Guest Elder position personally, this showed the amount of importance he had placed on this mysterious master behind Tang Yin.
"Respected Patriarch of the Nie family, I will make sure to relay your offer to my master word for word, you can rest assured. I will deliver my master’s answer as soon as possible." Tang Yin responded politely as if he was afraid of the Nie family Patriarch.
In truth Tang Yin was chuckling coldly in his heart, ’This Patriarch of the Nie family is only at the 9th stage of the Physique Transformation Realm. How dare he act so cocky and mighty?’ Tang Yin did not show any of his thoughts though, he stuck to the role of a frightened 9th-stage Spirt Channelling Realm cultivator.
Tang Yin wrapped his fist in his palm and bowed to the Nie family Patriarch, he nodded towards Nie Jin and respectfully left the room.
