Chapter 367: Plan and Target
The once-autonomous individuals who now stood before Tang Yin as slaves had been stripped of their capacity for independent decisions. They were bound to obey his every command without hesitation.
While their individual thoughts and emotions still existed, the Heaven Binding Seal etched within their souls left them unable to mount any form of rebellion or decline Tang Yin’s orders.
Xu Yun’s prior ability to exhibit childlike behaviour and harbour suspicion toward Tang Yin while under the influence of the Heaven Binding Seal in the Thousand Blossom Pavilion was due to Tang Yin’s decision not to fully activate the Heaven Binding Seal at that juncture.
Tang Yin hadn’t immediately enacted the full influence of the Heaven Binding Seal upon her, as he required her to lead her family to Broken Tooth Mountain. As such, while Xu Yun was indeed subjected to the seal’s effects, her free will hadn’t been immediately revoked.
Yet, now that she had successfully fulfilled her task, there existed no reason for her to maintain her autonomy.
Consequently, Tang Yin initiated the full activation of the Heaven Binding Seal, leaving Xu Yun incapable of maintaining her spoilt, childish personality in Tang Yin’s presence. Now, even if he were to command her to take her own life, she would carry out the command without a hint of resistance or contemplation.
This was the power of the Heaven Binding Seal!
Tang Yin currently had two bodyguards who were at the Peak-stage of the Principle Manipulation Realm, and one bodyguard in the Mid-stage. However, he didn’t feel the need to make use of their abilities unless he encountered a situation that truly overwhelmed him.
One of the main reasons he had enslaved them was to carry out the threat he had made to Qian Zhong just before killing the ancient fellow. The other significant reason was his requirement for human civilization within the Abyss Firmament.
He had intentions of establishing a vast ecosystem and diverse wildlife within the Abyss Firmament, namely the Biomes created by the Passive Domains of Rank 8 Demonic Beasts. However, he also held a desire to incorporate human civilizations into his world.
Of course, he wouldn’t permit them to retain their autonomy. Any humans living in the Abyss Firmament would have to be bound by the Heaven Binding Seal.
This was where the roles of Qiu Yinzi, Xin Shaung, and the other Holy Sons came into action. They would serve as the initial human inhabitants of the Abyss Firmament.
Cultivators enjoyed extended lifespans. As a result, Xin Shaung, Qiu Yinzi, and perhaps even Wan Mei could facilitate human reproduction for thousands of years.
After all, cultivators at the Principle Comprehension Realm had a lifespan of 30,000 years, while those at the Principle Manipulation Realm could live up to 60,000 years. As for cultivators in the Law Domain Realm, their lifespan extended to approximately 90,000 years.
In addition, there existed numerous cultivation resources and treasures that could guarantee the secure birth of newborns, expedite birthing processes, and even shorten pregnancy duration.
These treasures were abundant and scattered throughout various places. After all, cultivators seldom engaged in parenthood due to their strong commitment to cultivation. Bearing children was considered a distraction, and most cultivators with promising prospects who hadn’t concluded their cultivation path would often choose not to have children.
Therefore, the need for these treasures related to human reproduction was minimal, and they were readily accessible almost anywhere.
And no, Tang Yin had no intention of establishing his own lineage or family. He had taken custody of the Holy Sons and Li Caoheng due to their exceptional talents.
When exceptionally talented individuals like the Holy Sons and Holy Daughters bore offspring, the likelihood of their children inheriting similar talents from their parents was considerably high.
Naturally, Tang Yin had no immediate intentions of initiating a human civilization. The Abyss Firmament, in its current state, was not yet adequately developed for such a purpose.
However, once the Abyss Firmament had expanded its landmass substantially and established a diverse range of Biomes and ecosystems, he would then begin implementing his blueprint for human civilizations.
Moreover, the initiation of human civilization was a distant project as Tang Yin had to embark on a prolonged period of seclusion to address various matters.
He also required a period of concealment to evade pursuit from the Twin Snake Clan.
Lastly, upon emerging from seclusion, he had to subdue multiple Rank 8 Demonic Beasts through enslavement.
It was quite apparent that the establishment of human civilizations within the Abyss Firmament was not imminent by any means.
Tang Yin had thoroughly considered every conceivable scenario for the Abyss Firmament. He intended to replicate the Regions of the Bright Yang Continent by developing his own set of Biomes. Even the inclusion of humans in this equation had been meticulously devised!
Without any further delay, Tang Yin issued a series of instructions to his slaves. He instructed them to simply pass the time without engaging in any activities that might cause damage. He assured them that he would return within a day or two.
Then, he swiftly departed from the Abyss Firmament with Xiao Fei.
Tang Yin’s next target was the Enflamed Desert Region!
That’s right, he intended to return to the Enflamed Desert Region!
His motive and objective were straightforward, the Flametail Scorpion Mother and her nest.
Xiao Fei was a Peak-tier Rank 7 Demonic Beast, only a cusp away from her next evolution.
Thanks to her Lifeform Suppression ability, she already had the capability to rule Low-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beasts that were of the fire-type, bird-type, and fiery bird species.
At present, Tang Yin was only aware of the whereabouts of one Rank 8 fire-type Demonic Beast, namely the Flametail Scorpion Mother.
Prior to entering an extended period of seclusion, his intention was to subdue at least one Rank 8 Demonic Beast and harness its Passive Domain to create a Biome.
In this manner, he would possess a subject for experimentation, allowing him to ascertain the viability of his Biome creation plan and identify any necessary adjustments that needed to be made.
The Flametail Scorpion Mother, being a Low-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beast, rendered her an ideal candidate. Had she been of Mid-tier or even High-tier status, Tang Yin would undoubtedly have pondered the situation more carefully. Nonetheless, given her Low-tier status, Tang Yin held considerable confidence in Xiao Fei’s capacity to control her.
Tang Yin also aimed to assess the response of the formidable powerhouses within the Bright Yang Continent concerning this situation. After all, the disappearance of multiple Rank 8 Demonic Beasts was bound to attract attention and scrutiny from every Rank 8 Organization.
He needed to gauge whether the Rank 8 Organizations that held dominion over the Bright Yang Continent would undertake decisive actions to thwart his efforts to subdue Rank 8 Demonic Beasts.
After all, he recognized that he couldn’t confront a Rank 8 Organization single-handedly, even if he had the loyalty of a dozen Rank 8 Demonic Beasts at his side.
This explained Tang Yin’s urgency in wrapping up his tasks in the Bright Yang Continent before entering a prolonged period of seclusion and concealment. His aim was to elude the Twin Snake Clan’s pursuit and gradually fade from their memory, after all, he was a ’despicable’ cultivator responsible for the demise of one of their Law Domain Realm cultivators.
Upon departing from the Abyss Firmament, Tang Yin reappeared within the cave where he had deceived Xu Yun and her family. Swiftly, he dismantled the enigmatic Array Formation on the wall to eliminate any traces of his presence and then departed from the barren mountain.
After leaving the mountain, he turned his gaze to Xiao Fei.
Grasping his intentions, Xiao Fei leapt off his shoulder and rapidly expanded to a size of 50 feet.
Her obsidian-black feathers emitted a brilliant gleam, while the crimson tips possessed a hue as vivid as blood. Her nine phoenix tails cascaded down her form in a graceful arrangement, and her crimson crown feather denoted her royal lineage.
Tang Yin promptly vaulted onto her back and directed, "Ascend to an altitude of 7,000 feet and Space Warp 800 kilometres to the north."
Xiao Fei nodded in acknowledgement and swiftly ascended into the heavens, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix taking flight, a truly majestic spectacle to behold.
Xiao Fei had acquired her Space Warp ability quite a while back. Additionally, being at the Peak-tier of Rank 7, she had significantly elevated her grasp of Space Principles during her time in the Hectic Chasm Holy Land.
Her proficiency in utilizing Space Warp had evolved drastically. Initially, she could only perform it on a basic level. However, her profound comprehension of Space Principles had elevated her mastery, to the point where Space Warp was nearly instinctual for her now.
A substantial, opaque fissure materialized before Xiao Fei. Emitting a chilling aura that could induce shivers, it exuded an eerie sense of depth. The aperture was notably spacious, easily able to accommodate Xiao Fei’s entire form within its confines.
Without hesitation, Xiao Fei soared into the rift and vanished within its depths.
The moment Xiao Fei entered the dark slit that marked an entrance into the void, the spatial rift swiftly sealed shut, as if stitching itself back together.
In a matter of moments, the sky resumed its usual appearance, as if the extraordinary event had never occurred, and tranquillity reestablished itself.
