Chapter 349: Entering the Second Region

Meanwhile, Tang Yin found himself holding his breath in a state of extreme nervousness. The presence of an Early-stage Law Domain Realm cultivator fixated on his direction left him on edge, his every movement calculated to avoid detection.

The scrawny figure suspended in the air emanated the potent aura of an Early-stage Law Domain Realm cultivator. Tang Yin’s heightened senses even discerned that this aura surpassed the potency exhibited by Qian Zhong’s. It was evident that this individual stood at the pinnacle of the Early-stage.

Tang Yin’s pulse quickened as the cultivator’s intense scrutiny swept over his area. Yet, a sense of urgency propelled the scrawny man forward, prevailing his thorough investigation. The impending gathering of Law Domain Realm cultivators held the allure of potential benefits, an insistent reason for hastening.

The probing gaze softened as the cultivator momentarily hesitated, unable to pinpoint any concrete evidence of his unease. With a resigned shake of his head, he withdrew his attention and divine sense, thrusting himself towards the location where Li Weiyang and the other Law Domain Realm cultivators had convened.

Tang Yin’s tense body relaxed mildly. However, he was not naïve enough to let his guard down and relax. He remained vigilant and continued to disguise himself as Qi in the atmosphere.

After a couple of minutes passed, Tang Yin still remained in the same position with even more vigilance. Whilst he was waiting to be sure that the scrawny Law Domain Realm cultivator had left, he detected the presence of two additional Law Domain Realm cultivators approaching. They traversed the vicinity where he lay concealed. As such, he decided to remain still and disguise himself for the time being.

Unlike the cautious approach of the scrawny Law Domain Realm cultivator, the other two cultivators at the same level weren’t as attentive. Consequently, they completely missed noticing the extra Qi gently moving through the thick forest below them.

Ten more minutes drifted by, and finally, a sigh of relief escaped Tang Yin’s lips. During this interval, no other Law Domain Realm cultivators had come near his position beside the three he had previously encountered.

Fortunately, Tang Yin managed to depart the initial Region without arousing any suspicion. Despite a few near-miss encounters, he adeptly navigated his way through, emerging unscathed and successfully evading detection.

Now that the immediate danger was no longer looming, Tang Yin’s main focus shifted to upholding his hidden status as he ventured toward the Moonlit River Sect.

Although there was a chance of encountering a few more Law Domain Realm cultivators on his way, the probability of such occurrences had diminished significantly. This was especially true now that he had put a substantial distance between himself and the site where the clash between Xiao Fei and Qian Zhong had taken place.

....

Meanwhile, at the location where Xiao Fei and Qian Zhong’s conflict had unfolded, a multitude of Law Domain Realm cultivators, among them Li Weiyang, had congregated. Here, a fervent exchange of ideas and opinions was underway.

"The most plausible sequence of events suggests that Qian Zhong met his demise at the hands of the Rank 8 Demonic Beast, which promptly fled the scene after the fatal encounter. The creature’s swift slaughter of Qian Zhong and its subsequent evasion emphasises its superior prowess, indicative of a formidable High-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beast." Li Weiyang concluded with a resolute tone.

Everyone nodded their heads in approval. It was indeed as Li Weiyang had summarised. Even as several millennial-year-old monsters, they couldn’t think of any other way the current situation could have played out.

Yet, this misconception was not a reflection of their inadequacy. The most significant oversight these seasoned Law Domain Realm experts had committed was overlooking the role of the Abyss Firmament in these unfolding events.

The very idea that a cultivator could harbour a hidden, independent world remained utterly inconceivable to them. Such an extraordinary ability was beyond their contemplation, especially since not even the revered 10 Sovereigns wielded such an astonishing and heaven-defying power.

Furthermore, it was beyond their imagination to conceive that the very Demonic Beast responsible for Qian Zhong’s demise held mere Peak-tier Rank 7 strength.

Even more astonishing was the fact that Xiao Fei had been secreted within the Abyss Firmament, a location so cloaked that not even a single one of the 10 Sovereigns possessed the ability to discern its presence.

The Abyss Firmament’s significant role and inherent advantage had effectively clouded the understanding of these Law Domain Realm experts. Without this factor, their remarkable abilities would have allowed them to decipher the unfolding events down to the most accurate details.

The involvement of the Abyss Firmament had thrown a wrench into their careful calculations, derailing their deductions from the actual sequence of events. Their line of reasoning had strayed off course, resulting in a conclusion that deviated from the factual unfolding of events.

"What fate awaits the High-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beast that claimed Qian Zhong’s life?" inquired one of the Early-stage Law Domain Realm cultivators.

"I will promptly inform the Heavenly Emperor about the creature’s presence in this vicinity. As for the rest of you, feel free to proceed as you see fit." Li Weiyang replied. Hailing from the Divine Emperor Kingdom, a Rank 8 Organization, he held the responsibility of reporting the emergence of an unknown High-tier Rank 8 Demonic Beast to the Heavenly Emperor.

"Then, what about Qian Zhong’s death? What will happen to the Moonlit River Sect?" Asked the same Law Domain Realm cultivator, a greedy flicker flashed in the depths of his gaze.

"The Divine Emperor Kingdom will remain uninvolved in this affair. The Moonlit River Sect is affiliated with the Twin Snake Clan, thus the responsibility for addressing this situation lies with them." Li Weiyang articulated, representing the stance of the Divine Emperor Kingdom and indicating a deliberate choice to maintain their distance from the matter.

The cultivator who had asked those questions fell silent. He realized that attacking the Moonlit River Sect and looting it, now that it lacked a Law Domain Realm protector, could lead to trouble. The Twin Snake Clan would definitely ask for an explanation from the Rank 8 Organization behind him and they might even demand his head. As such, his greed died down along with his enquiries.

"I’ll be taking my leave first, farewell." Li Weiyang offered a salute to the assembled Law Domain Realm cultivators. In the blink of an eye, he became engulfed in a radiant orange brilliance. Yet, just as swiftly as the intense light had appeared, akin to a secondary sun, it dissipated, along with Li Weiyang himself, leaving no trace behind.

’Such a distant guy, he’ll never get married if he stays like that.’ Lan Xinyue’s inner thoughts formed a subtle pout. Nevertheless, her own stay was also short-lived after Li Weiyang’s departure. In a manner akin to a glimmering star, she bid her farewell and vanished into the void, leaving behind a trail of sparkling brilliance.

With no compelling reasons to remain, the remaining Law Domain Realm cultivators promptly took their leave, offering their farewells before departing in swift succession.

....

Tang Yin was well aware that a significant gathering of Law Domain Realm cultivators had congregated at the site of Qian Zhong’s demise. Yet, what remained oblivious to him was the fact that the involvement of the Abyss Firmament had indirectly served to shroud him throughout this unfolding sequence of events.

Had the Abyss Firmament not provided refuge for Xiao Fei, the Law Domain Realm experts would have pieced together the entirety of the encounter between Qian Zhong and Xiao Fei, inevitably tracing the threads back to Tang Yin himself.

Having skilfully navigated through the initial Region without attracting the attention of any Law Domain Realm cultivators, Tang Yin ventured into the second Region.

This particular Region held a distinct characteristic, notorious for its unforgiving climate, capable of incinerating individuals. Yet, to a cultivator of Tang Yin’s calibre, the searing heat posed little threat.

Unperturbed, he journeyed across the desert-like expanse of the second Region, his progress unimpeded until an unexpected obstacle emerged, a nest teeming with scorpion-type Demonic Beasts.

Tang Yin was keen to avoid any conflict that could potentially unveil his presence. Engaging with the scorpion-type Demonic Beasts was out of the question.

Fortunately, the nest of these Demonic Beasts remained oblivious to his presence. After all, even 3 Early-stage Law Domain Realm cultivators were incapable of doing so in the previous Region.

Circumventing the Demonic Beast nest was unfeasible, given its expansive scope. Opting to skirt around it would necessitate doubling the time required to traverse the Region.

Therefore, Tang Yin opted for a different approach. He ascended to a higher altitude, beyond the reach of the scorpion-like Demonic Beasts’ nest.

Yet, in the very moment he took to the skies, his pupils contracted abruptly, and he brusquely halted in mid-flight.

’A Low-tier Rank 8 Flametail Scorpion Mother!’ Tang Yin’s thoughts reverberated with a sense of peril and intense danger.
