Chapter 293: Evolved Heaven Piercing Gaze

Tang Yin did not have a use for the Holy Saint Brush. It had just stayed in his storage ring for the past decade and a half, collecting dust. Tian Huang had also allowed him to do as he pleased with it. As a result, Tang Yin found the best use for it to be exchanged with contribution points.

After all, right now the Holy Saint Brush was at its peak value. As Tang Yin’s cultivation base progresses, he would interact with stronger cultivators who would possess multiple Tier 3 Artifacts. The Holy Saint Brush would lose a lot of its value at that point.

"The value of this Tier 3 Artifact, or the Holy Saint Brush as you call it, should be around 140,000 contribution points." Liu Hao estimated.

Tang Yin was quite satisfied with Liu Hao’s calculations. He could practically trade the Holy Saint Brush for entry to a Holy Land for a year.

He did not have a use for the Holy Saint Brush, but he had multiple uses for a Holy Land.

Similar to what he had done a few moments ago, Tang Yin handed his Personal Identification Token to Liu Hao.

Liu Hao inserted a bit of his energy into the Personal Identification Token before giving it back to Tang Yin.

Tang Yin inspected his token, ’Contribution Points: 249,000’.

"Oh right, I forgot to mention. Once a cultivator dies, their Personal Identification Token will automatically self-destruct." Liu Hao suddenly remembered.

Tang Yin nodded. He originally wanted to test out if he could transfer other cultivators’ contribution points to his token, but now it seemed impossible.

Tang Yin also did not immediately purchase a year’s worth of entry to a Holy Land. He wanted to complete his mission first to gauge the difficulty of a Tier 7 mission.

It did not make a difference whether he purchased entry to a Holy Land right now or later.

"Is there anything?" Liu Hao wanted to make sure that Tang Yin did not have any other resources or items that he wanted to exchange.

"Not at the moment." Tang Yin responded.

"In that case, I won’t bother Fellow Cultivator anymore. If you need anything, please feel free to contact me through your Personal Identification Token or come visit me personally." Liu Hao bid farewell to Tang Yin before returning to the Neutral Cultivation Alliance Branch.

Tang Yin did not have any plans to return there yet. He wanted to carry out his mission right away which was located in the Great Breeze Region.

The Great Breeze Region was not that far away. Only around 8 or so Regions away from the Neutral Cultivation Alliance’s Branch. It would take Tang Yin a week to travel there and back.

In the Bright Yang Continent, the Great Breeze Region was a vast Region known for its unique climate, terrain and wind elemental resources.

The Great Breeze Region was essentially just an extremely large valley located in between two colossal mountain ranges that stretched across the entire Region on opposite ends.

This created a natural wind tunnel that channelled the flow of wind throughout the entire Region. The constant winds were quite gentle, without leaving any trace of destruction. But this was largely due to the Region’s environment having already adapted to the constant winds, allowing the environment to parry the winds to a different location without taking any damage.

Because of the Great Breeze Region’s climate and abundant Qi, it was an optimal Region for cultivators to train their wind elemental Martial Skills and cultivate wind elemental Medicinal and Spiritual Herbs.

In addition to the Great Breeze Region’s cultivation resources, the Region also housed many organizations, with one of the strongest being the Rank 6 Duan Family.

There were only two Rank 6 Organizations in the Great Breeze Region. Namely the Duan Family and the Tempest Temple. Both of these organizations held great enmity for each other.

Tang Yin was almost sure that the Tempest Temple was the one to commission Duan Long’s assassination in the Neutral Cultivation Alliance. They must’ve paid an extremely large price to make such a demanding commission.

Tang Yin speculated that the Tempest Temple would exterminate the Duan Family after Duan Long’s death and become the only ruler of the Great Breeze Region.

Naturally, none of this had anything to do with Tang Yin. He would simply waltz into the Duan Family, kill Duan Long and return to the Neutral Cultivation Alliance Branch with his head.

Obviously, things wouldn’t be as simple as this, but it was the general idea of how to proceed with things.

Tang Yin also changed his appearance. He did not change his facial appearance. Instead, he changed his clothes to completely black and wore a black mask and a straw hat.

Then he left for the Great Breeze Region.

It took Tang Yin a week to arrive in the Great Breeze Region. During the journey, he only encountered a single Low-tier Rank 7 Demonic Beast. He swiftly killed it and stored its corpse in his storage ring.

If it weren’t for him deliberately trying to avoid contact with all life forms, he would have encountered more Rank 7 Demonic Beasts and even a Rank 8 Demonic Beast if he was unlucky.

According to the information he had received from the Neutral Cultivation Alliance about his target, the Duan Family was located on the right side of the Great Breeze Region’s mountain range. Whereas the Tempest Temple was located on the left side of the other mountain range.

Both the Duan Family and the Tempest Temple were located at the edge of the Great Breeze Region, as far away from each other as possible.

Tang Yin went into the right mountain range. The Duan Family was located inside the largest valley at the centre of the mountain range.

Tang Yin didn’t immediately rush in. He stayed outside the Family’s detection and activated the Heaven Piercing Gaze to monitor their defensive Array Formations.

’What the hell...’ However, after activating the Heaven Piercing Gaze, Tang Yin was sent into a stupor.

As he looked up, he noticed tiny particles drifting aimlessly in the atmosphere. These particles differed in colour, with some appearing as red specks of light emitting a faint warmth.

Some particles were brown and closer to the ground, giving off a heavy feeling. Other particles were blue and near moist areas, giving off a saturated sensation.

But the most common particles were cyan and spread across the sky, earth, trees, and anything one could see, emitting a light gust of wind.

’Are these... Principles?" Previously, Tang Yin could not see Principles. He could only vaguely sense them with his divine sense. He would only be able to sense them properly if there were a large number of Principles in a concentrated area.

But now, with the Heaven Piercing Gaze, he could see all types of Principles in the atmosphere. They were extremely vivid, and everywhere.

The Great Breeze Region was full of constant winds and breezes, hence the increased volume of Wind Principles everywhere.

’I wasn’t able to see Principles before. The skills and abilities from the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit develop alongside me. Has the Heaven Piercing Gaze evolved?’ This was the most logical answer Tang Yin could come up with.

However, right now, he was on a mission. He could experiment all he wanted with the Heaven Piercing Gaze after the mission. Right now, he had to focus on the Duan Family.

Tang Yin ignored the Principles everywhere, he directed his gaze onto the Duan Family’s defensive Array Formations protecting the valley.

He was once again shocked. ’I can see the Principles of the Array Formation and its weaknesses!’ It seemed that the Heaven Piercing Gaze had evolved to a higher state than only being able to perceive Principles.

Tang Yin smirked. He originally planned to wait here for a couple of days to observe the Array Formations and formulate a plan to bypass them, but now it wasn’t necessary.

With the Heaven Piercing Gaze, he could easily see the weaknesses in the Array Formations and could instantly come up with numerous methods to go around them.

Tang Yin waited until nightfall.

When everything was shrouded in darkness and completely silent, he made his move.

He instantly appeared before the first Array Formation. It was a Tier 5 Wind-Fire Formation.

Tang Yin easily slipped passed it, as if it did not exist. However, slight steam emitted from his body, as if water and fire had come into contact with each other.

He then appeared before the next Array Formation. It was a Tier 5 Mistral Gale Formation. Tang Yin easily walked through the Array Formation. However, as he did so, the sound of something ripping echoed from his body. But the noise was shrouded in his divine sense, keeping the night silent.

Any minor injuries he suffered from bypassing the Tier 5 Mistral Gale Formation were instantly healed by Passive Regeneration.

Then Tang Yin glared at the last Array Formation before him. It was a Tier 4 Typhoon Cyclone Formation. It wouldn’t be so easy to find a way around it. But Tang Yin still had a few methods at his disposal.
