Chapter 283: Xiaoxing and Completed Preparations
Tang Yin only needed to wait for a few minutes before the gargantuan divine sense of an Early-stage Principle Manipulation Realm cultivator appeared behind the Sect Protection Formation of Starfall Peak.
"I am Xiaoxing, who may Fellow Cultivator be?" A delicate female voice came from the Early-stage Principle Manipulation Realm cultivator’s divine sense. However, it held a trace of coldness and caution.
"It is an honour to meet the Starfall Queen. My name is Tang Yin, and I wish to conduct a trade with Fellow Cultivator Xiaoxing." Tang Yin responded politely. He did care for Xiaoxing’s power, it was only mere courtesy. In a battle, he would not find it difficult to defeat her.
"Oh, what trade?" After a few moments of silence, Xiaoxing replied with a curious enquiring voice.
"I need 6 World Tribulation Fruits. Does Fellow Cultivator Xiaoxing possess these treasures?" Tang Yin asked.
"World Tribulation Fruits? The Starfall Peak has 3 in our treasury. As for the other 3, it would take me a day to gather." Xiaoxing responded after a moment of thought.
"No problem, I can wait a day." Tang Yin suppressed his excitement and spoke with a casual tone.
"The price won’t be cheap though. A single World Tribulation Fruit is already quite rare, not to mention 6." Xiaoxing remarked. She did not want to gather 6 World Tribulation Fruits just to find out that Tang Yin could not afford them.
"What’s the price for 6 World Tribulation Fruits?" Tang Yin already knew the approximate price. If Xiaoxing decided to extort him, he would just go somewhere else to obtain World Tribulation Fruits.
"I would prefer a Low-tier Rank 7 Demonic Beast Core. However, I’ll also accept something of equal value." Xiaoxing responded almost immediately.
The World Tribulation Fruits were just sitting in the Starfall Peak’s treasury, collecting dust. If she could trade them for something useful, she would gladly do so.
"The price is acceptable. You can find me on the outskirts of the Starfall Region once you have gathered all 6 of the World Tribulation Fruits." Tang Yin accepted. The price was in accordance with his expectations. Xiaoxing did not attempt to extort him.
Since Tang Yin needed World Tribulation Fruits, he obviously come prepared by knowing its price. It would be foolish to try to exploit him. Xiaoxing knew this. Even if she could extort Tang Yin, she would not do so as she did not want to create a ’Principle Manipulation Realm’ enemy for Starfall Peak.
"Alright." Xiaoxing responded vaguely. She did not try to invite Tang Yin into Starfall Peak. She did not know anything about him, they had just met. For all she knew, he could be here to assassinate her, although it was highly unlikely.
After successfully coming to an initial agreement, Tang Yin’s divine sense left Starfall Peak and returned to Tang Yin’s body which was inside a normal mountain on the outskirts of the Starfall Region.
A day was not long for cultivators, especially for high-level cultivators like Tang Yin. A day passed by in the blink of an eye.
Tang Yin opened his eyes and disappeared from the mountain. He appeared high in the clouds where an old man stood respectfully.
"Senior, Lady Xiaoxing has prepared the World Tribulation Fruits." The old man bowed lightly to Tang Yin in respect.
Tang Yin could see that the old man was only a Mid-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator, he was probably an Elder of Starfall Peak.
"Lead the way." Tang Yin nodded and followed the old man to Starfall Peak.
He had already seen everything with his divine sense the last time he had visited, the beautiful sights and scenery could not impress him anymore.
Tang Yin found the old man’s speed to be quite lacklustre. Therefore, he grabbed him by his collar and shot towards Starfall Peak. They arrived in a few minutes.
The old man felt awe and fear wash over him. He quickly paid his respects to Tang Yin and entered the Sect Protection Formation, leaving Tang Yin standing outside.
However, a minute later, Xiaoxing appeared. This time, she left the Sect Protection Formation and stood before Tang Yin.
Xiaoxing exuded an aura of elegance and grace as she donned purple robes and masked her face with a thin veil. The deep purple hue of her garments seemed to complement her character, bringing out the natural complexion of her skin. Her veil added an element of mystery and allure, as it obscured her facial features, leaving one to imagine what lay behind.
Despite the thin veil covering her face, Xiaoxing’s posture and bearing displayed confidence and a regal demeanour. Her long, flowing robes trailed behind her as she moved through the air step by step, giving her an ethereal appearance. Her beauty was apparent, and it was clear that she commanded attention and respect wherever she went.
She stopped 100 feet away from Tang Yin and looked at him with a scrutinizing glance.
Tang Yin had shrouded his body in his divine sense, Xiaoxing was unable to see through his Spirit Ascension Realm cultivation.
To show his sincerity, Tang Yin brought out the Demonic Beast Core of the Lava Serpent first. It was a dark orange sphere half the size of a palm.
"This is the Demonic Beast Core of a Low-tier Rank 7 Lava Serpent, it contains the Principle of Lava." Tang Yin held out the Lava Serpent’s Demonic Beast Core.
Xiaoxing sent out her divine sense to inspect the Demonic Beast core under Tang Yin’s supervision.
After validating the authenticity of the Demonic Beast Core, Xiaoxing nodded. She brought out 6 small wooden containers, they sprung open one by one to reveal a golden fruit with silver veins coursing through them.
Tang Yin also sent out his divine sense to inspect the 6 World Tribulation Fruits. Since he already possessed 3 World Tribulation Fruits, he could tell that these 6 were authentic.
Tang Yin and Xiaoxing both used their divine senses to send the items to each other. No one did anything shady and the exchange was successfully completed with ease.
"Thank you Fellow Cultivator Xiaoxing, it was a pleasure trading with you." Tang Yin spoke with a smile.
"Likewise. If there is nothing else, I will be returning to Starfall Peak." Xiaoxing spoke with a voice that could capture any man’s soul. She then entered the Sect Protection Formation and returned to her residence.
Tang Yin also did not linger around Starfall Peak since the exchange had been successfully conducted. He swiftly made his way back to Four Seasons Island. With his strength, he faced no obstacles during the journey back. It only took him around half an hour to return.
After returning to Four Seasons Island, Tang Yin discovered Zhang Chu waiting for him. With his divine sense, he had already confirmed that all the cultivators of the south zone had been relocated 70 kilometres away from Four Seasons Island.
Tang Yin mysteriously appeared before the unaware Zhang Chu. "You’ve done a good job."
Zhang Chu was startled for a moment before regaining his bearing. He respectfully responded, "I’ve done things according to Senior’s order. Does Senior have any more orders?"
"Not for now. Just keep everyone, including yourself, away from Four Seasons Island. Once I’m done with my business, ill notify and reward you for your efforts." Tang Yin thought with lightning speed before giving out his orders.
Zhang Chu paid his respects to Tang Yin before leaving Four Seasons Island.
Tang Yin had not taken Xiao Fei with him to Starfall Peak. She had been residing on Four Seasons Island the whole time.
Tang Yin told Xiao Fei to stay inside Zhang Chu’s cultivation chamber whilst he went through Tribulation. He did not want any distractions or any heroic acts from her. Xiao Fei agreed and promised not to interfere no matter what.
Now that everything had been dealt with, it was finally time to go through the 1st Tribulation!
Tang Yin stood in the air above Four Seasons Island.
For one to trigger a Tribulation, they would need to have the intent to advance their cultivation to the Principle Step. The heavens would naturally sense this intent and send down Tribulation Lightning to destroy the source of the intent.
One could choose to go through however many Tribulations they wanted, this was done through the method of intent control.
If one’s intent to reach the Principle Step was extremely strong, the heavens would send down all 9 Tribulations at once to destroy the cultivator.
However, if one’s intent to advance to the Principle Step was faint, the heavens would only send down 1 Tribulation to prevent the cultivator from advancing their cultivation.
Like this, one could control whether they wanted to face one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight or even nine Tribulations at once.
Tang Yin wanted to face each Tribulation one by one simultaneously.
So, he would consume a World Tribulation Fruit and face the 1st Tribulation, then repeat the same process and face the 2nd Tribulation. He would do this all the way up to the 9th Tribulation to maximize the amount of Lightning Essence he could obtain from the Tribulation Lightning.
