Chapter 281: Revenge and Successful Agreement
Zhang Chu was confused for a moment. He could not understand what this mysterious senior before him wanted with the 3 Elders of the Four Seasons Sect.
However, his expression changed to rage a moment later. He brought out a small jade pendant from his storage ring and sent his divine sense into it.
"Kong Wu, Chen Mei, Wang Tao, you old bastards! Hurry to my isolation chamber immediately." Zhang Chu spoke with impeccable fury. It was because of these 3 that he was faced with a crisis! They must have somehow offended the mysterious senior before him. Now he had to answer for their actions.
Tang Yin stood to the side, watching all of this unfold. He could clearly see that Zhang Chu was ready to sacrifice Kong Wu, Chen Mei and Wang Tao for his own survival.
A couple of minutes of silence passed. Neither Tang Yin nor Zhang Chu spoke, they simply waited for the 3 Elders to arrive.
"Hurry up and get in here!" Zhang Chu spoke with a dark voice.
Tang Yin and Zhang Chu had already sensed the 3 Elders arrive outside the cultivation chamber. Zhang Chu told them to enter before they could even express their arrival.
The door to the cultivation chamber was politely opened before 3 old men walked in.
"Greetings to Sect Master." The 3 Elders wrapped their fists in their palms and bowed to Zhang Chu with politeness and respect. They also sent curious glances to Tang Yin who was standing beside their Sect Master.
Before Zhang Chu could speak, Tang Yin stepped forward. "Remember me?"
The 3 Elder’s expressions changed to confusion. They looked at each other with clueless expressions, clearly, they did not recognize Tang Yin.
Tang Yin smiled, his appearance slowly changed to an old woman’s.
"Bi Lou!" Kong Wu and Chen Mei shouted with shock, confusion and realisation. Wang Tao still wore a clueless expression.
Kong Wu and Chen Mei realised what this meant. The Bi Lou that they had met 10 years ago was the person before them!
Thinking about the cold treatment they have given to ’Bi Lou’ in the past, their faces warped in terror.
Kong Wu had put a fragment of his divine sense into Tang Yin’s body in the past. Although he had done it to keep track of his location, he harboured ulterior motives.
Chen Mei was the Elder that had exchanged Tang Yin’s contribution points with resources in the past. He was in isolation back then and could only threaten Tang Yin to intimidate him.
As for the clueless Wang Tao, he had stopped Tang Yin numerous times at the Sect Protection Formation. Although it was his job to thoroughly inspect everyone entering and exiting Four Seasons Island, he had nearly uncovered Tang Yin’s disguise which would have led to his death since Tang Yin was only a Qi Transformation Realm cultivator back then.
Tang Yin was a petty person. Unless there was a good reason or benefits involved, he would almost always remember the times he had been wronged.
"Now you can die knowing the reasons for your death." Tang Yin spoke with a malicious smile.
Before Kong Wu and Chen Mei could even beg for their lives or flee, they exploded into a blood mist and their souls were destroyed instantly.
Wang Tao finally realised who ’Bi Lou’ was. He vaguely remembered stopping ’her’ in the past when ’she’ wanted to enter and exit Four Seasons Island.
Tang Yin allowed Wang Tao to remember the reason for his death. Now that he had remembered, he also exploded into a blood mist and had his soul destroyed.
Zhang Chu watched on with horror. Even with his powers, he could not explode 3 Spirit Ascension Realm cultivators into blood mist so casually. This allowed him to better grasp the mysterious person’s strength.
’I can’t afford to offend him at any cost.’ Zhang Chu steeled his resolve. Even if he had to risk his life, he would not offend the mysterious person before him.
Tang Yin changed back to his original appearance. He turned his attention to Zhang Chu. The latter had a respectful expression on his face, and he did not display any reaction to the blood mist which represented the dead Kong Wu, Chen Mei and Wang Tao.
Tang Yin nodded in appreciation. This Zhang Chu could adapt to all situations. Even the deaths of 3 powerful underlings did not faze him.
"Going back to the previous deal I mentioned. I need you to clear the surrounding 70 kilometres around the Four Seasons Island of all cultivators. In exchange, I’ll deal with the Metamorphosis Demonic Beast in the north zone." Tang Yin proposed.
From the memories he had obtained from Zhang Chu by utilizing Soul Plunder, he had learnt of everything that had happened since his departure.
The Metamorphosis Demonic Beast’s army of Demonic Beasts had attacked the east, south and west zones with extreme frenzy ceaselessly. They had conquered quite a bit of territory from the 3 zones.
The Early-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator of the west zone had decided to burn up all of his potential to advance to the Mid-stage of the Principle Comprehension Realm as over 60% of his territory had been invaded.
With his newfound power, he destroyed the Metamorphosis Demonic Beast’s armies occupying his territory and reclaimed his lands.
However, the Metamorphosis Demonic Beast showed up and both of them engaged in a fierce battle.
In the end, the Mid-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator’s cultivation base was unstable, and his foundation was weak. He was extremely weak for a Mid-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator.
Due to this, he was forced to retreat back into his territory with severe injuries. There was even a chance of his cultivation base regressing. Ever since the battle, he had been in constant seclusion to prevent his cultivation base from regressing.
The Metamorphosis Demonic Beast also did not come out unscathed. It was injured to a large extent. Fearing the combined attack of the 2 Early-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivators from the south and east zones, it fled back into the north zone under the cover of its Demonic Beast armies.
Zhang Chu and the Early-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator from the east zone took advantage of this opportunity to reclaim their lost territories.
As such, the situation went back to square one. The north zone had not lost any of its lands, but it had also not conquered any new territories from the other 3 zones.
The Metamorphosis Demonic Beast was currently in the north zone recovering from its injuries and possibly planning its next attack.
The Mid-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator from the west zone was in seclusion, trying his best to prevent his cultivation base from regressing due to severe injuries and an unstable foundation.
Zhang Chu and the other Early-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator were also calculating their gains and losses from the war with the north zone whilst also preparing against any sudden attacks.
Zhang Chu contemplated Tang Yin’s proposal. He wanted to agree, but there were a few worries in his mind.
"Don’t worry. This situation will only last for a few days and I won’t touch any of your resources. I just need absolute privacy for a few days." Tang Yin saw Zhang Chu’s worries and explained. His voice also held an impatient tone.
Zhang Chu racked his brains for a moment before deciding to agree to the deal. It was not like he had a choice in the first place given Tang Yin’s strength. He could only hope Tang Yin kept to his words.
"Good. The timing is perfect." Tang Yin remarked.
The next moment, an extremely beautiful woman with long black hair and a curvaceous body wearing a crimson dress appeared in the cultivation chamber. Black and white flames flashed around her body before returning to her body.
Suddenly, the pungent smell of burnt flesh wafted through the air. The remains of a middle-aged man, twisted and blackened by flames appeared on the floor of the cultivation chamber.
The corpse was almost unrecognizable, but its general appearance could be made out. The dense aura of a Mid-tier Rank 6 Demonic Beast emanated from him, it had yet to dissipate since his death had only taken place a couple of minutes ago.
"It’s him!" Zhang Chu shouted with hatred and delight once he saw the burnt corpse. He had met and fought the Metamorphosis Demonic Beast many times. Even in his burnt state, Zhang Chu could recognize him, not to mention the unforgettable aura lingering around his corpse.
"You can keep the corpse, Demonic Beast Core and Beast Soul. However, I hope you abide by our agreement and provide me with absolute privacy." Tang Yin broke Zhang Chu out of his trance.
"Of course. I’ll go now and evacuate everyone from a 70-kilometre radius around Four Seasons Island." Zhang Chu understood the meaning behind Tang Yin’s words, he wanted him to leave too.
Zhang Chu put the Metamorphosis Demonic Beast’s corpse into his storage ring and respectfully bid farewell to Tang Yin before leaving the cultivation chamber.
Tang Yin had sent Xiao Fei to the north zone before he arrived at Four Seasons Island. He had come up with the agreement beforehand and he did not even need to exert any effort to fulfil his part of the deal. Xiao Fei easily dealt with the Metamorphosis Demonic Beast with her prowess.
By giving the Metamorphosis Demonic Beast’s corpse to Zhang Chu and promising not to touch Four Season Sect’s resources, Tang Yin had already shown his sincerity to Zhang Chu.
If the latter did anything shady or violated the deal, rivers of blood would flow in the south zone.
