Chapter 274: Success
This was another preparation that Tang Yin had held for Xiao Fei. He was waiting for a moment when she became seriously injured to use the drops of Myriad Spirit Milk.
If he used it earlier when she wasn’t too badly injured, then it would have been a waste and even harmful to Xiao Fei.
There was too much energy inside several drops of Myriad Spirit Milk. Her body wouldn’t be able to handle all of it.
But now, the excess energy could be directed by Xiao Fei to heal her body. She also had to control the energy to heal her body, otherwise, it would not work.
Before, she would have been too busy with the Everlasting Heaven Flames. But now, she had assumed control over enough of the Everlasting Heaven Flames to focus on healing herself.
A colossal amount of energy entered Xiao Fei, she felt as if she would explode if she did not expel or consume the energy. Either way, she would actually explode if she did not somehow get rid of the energy.
Xiao Fei was obviously prepared for this as Tang Yin had informed her beforehand.
She quickly and efficiently directed all of the energy obtained from the drops of Myriad Spirit Milk to her regenerative abilities.
With an almost endless supply of energy, Xiao Fei’s regenerative abilities as a Demonic Beast surpassed its previous effectiveness and rapidly healed Xiao Fei’s body.
Within a couple of seconds, Xiao Fei had recovered by about 40%. Her flesh and feathers had grown back, she recovered from her fatigue and was ready to face the Everlasting Heaven Flames again.
During the whole process, Xiao Fei’s Everlasting Hell Flames and Everlasting Heaven Flames had constantly been pushed back by the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames.
By now, they were on the brink of scattering and leaving Xiao Fei wide open for attack, which would most likely end in her death.
However, once Xiao Fei resumed control, she controlled both of her flames to return to her body.
Without any obstructions, the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames rushed towards Xiao Fei and drowned her in an ocean of white flames.
Inside the ocean of white flames, the Everlasting Heaven Flames attacked Xiao Fei relentlessly, not providing her with a chance to retaliate.
However, they never managed to injure her. In fact, every time the Everlasting Heaven Flames attacked her, some of the flames would get absorbed into her body and would become subservient to her.
Like this, Xiao Fei was able to gain 2/15 more of the Everlasting Heaven Flames under her control.
The reason why the attacking Everlasting Heaven Flames could not injure Xiao Fei was because a thin layer of Everlasting Hell Flames and Everlasting Heaven Flames coated her body, defending her from fatal attacks.
Once the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames came into contact with the flames under Xiao Fei’s control, she would insert her will into some of the Everlasting Heaven Flames and bring them under her control.
Unfortunately, this method didn’t work for long.
Each time the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames attacked Xiao Fei, they forced her flames to disperse, rendering them useless for a couple of seconds.
If Xiao Fei continued using this method, once she ran out of protection from her flames, she would have to bear the brunt of the attack from the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames.
And from the sheer quantity of the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames that she was currently drowned in, Xiao Fei would only last for a few seconds before turning to ash, making her previous efforts futile.
With a loud screech, Xiao Fei released all of the flames in her body in one go. A huge amount of Everlasting Hell Flames and Everlasting Heaven Flames erupted from her body, swiftly sweeping away the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames.
Xiao Fei quickly used this chance to retreat and create a huge amount of distance between her and the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames.
By now, Xiao Fei had assumed control over 8/15 of the overall Everlasting Heaven Flames. Coupled with the Everlasting Hell Flames, Xiao Fei’s flames were much larger, and frightening compared to the remaining Everlasting Heaven Flames.
Xiao Fei had already crossed the most dangerous hurdle, albeit almost dying. Now, all she had to do was bide her time and slowly bring the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames under her control until there were no opposing flames left.
Half an hour passed.
Tang Yin was still in the clouds, calmly watching Xiao Fei bring wisp after wisp of Everlasting Heaven Flame under her control. All of his worries had vanished, replaced with happiness and relief.
After half an hour of intense grinding without rest, Xiao Fei had brought 13/15 of the overall Everlasting Heaven Flames under her control.
Almost all of the Everlasting Heaven Flames had been incorporated with her will, becoming submissive to her.
During the whole half an hour, Xiao Fei had constantly kept a distance between her and the opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames. She would only swoop in to scoop up small fragments of the Everlasting Heaven Flames and refine them into her own.
With the large amount of Everlasting Hell Flames under her control and the new Everlasting Heaven Flames, Xiao Fei was under constant protection whilst she snatched up wisp after wisp of opposing Everlasting Heaven Flames.
After Tang Yin had scared away the curious Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator half an hour ago, no more cultivators dared to approach this area of the Drifblim Region.
Another 10 minutes passed.
BOOM
With a large explosion, all of the remaining Everlasting Heaven Flames exploded and scattered into small pieces.
Xiao Fei plunged down and snatched up all of the small pieces of Everlasting Heaven Flames before fusing her will into them.
She had finally refined all of the Everlasting Heaven Flames into her own!
This also meant that the Everlasting Heaven Flame Disaster had come to an end. Xiao Fei had successfully passed the Disaster and completed her evolution.
Xiao Fei transformed back into her human form. From what Tang Yin could see, nothing had changed. She still retained her original appearance.
Xiao Fei sat down cross-legged in the air. A huge ball of Everlasting Hell Flames and Everlasting Heaven Flames surrounded her, obscuring her from all eyes.
’She should be stabilizing her new power and consolidating her new Everlasting Heaven Flame.’ Tang Yin realised what was happening. He did not do anything though, he just remained in the clouds, vigilantly surveying the surroundings.
This lasted for 2 weeks.
Tang Yin remained in the same spot for 2 weeks. Xiao Fei’s circumstances also did not change.
Suddenly, his eyes focused on the large ball of black and white flames.
All of the Everlasting Hell and Heaven Flames surged towards the centre. Both of the flames were then inhaled by Xiao Fei, swiftly returning to her body.
Xiao Fei opened her mesmerizing eyes, they still held a crimson shade. However, her left eye was sparkling with a black flame whilst her right eye was flashing with a white flame. But the next instant, both of the flames disappeared, only leaving her crimson pupils visible.
Xiao Fei’s face was full of excitement, happiness, slight shock and most of all, relief.
She immediately scanned her surroundings before looking up into the clouds, where Tang Yin was stationed.
She instantly arrived before him as a crimson arc and flew into his embrace. The duo shared a soft moment before Tang Yin spoke.
"How was the evolution?" He asked with expectation.
"I have total control over the Everlasting Heaven Flames, and I obtained a couple more abilities and memories from my bloodline." Xiao Fei spoke with excitement after leaving Tang Yin’s embrace.
"Do tell." Tang Yin smiled.
"The memories I obtained from my bloodline are quite handy. They show and explain a method where I can fuse my Everlasting Heaven Flame and Everlasting Hell Flame into a brand new flame, the Eternal Fate Flame." Xiao Fei explained with dejectedness, contrasting the words she had just spoken.
"Unfortunately, I am too weak to do this right now. Only when I become extremely powerful will I be able to do this fusion. If I attempt to fuse my 2 flames as I am now, the result will only cause a huge explosion of failure which will incinerate me and everything around me."
"Other than this, the new memories also talked about things relating to the Eternal Fate Ancient Phoenix Race. This information is extremely useful as there are some things which only my race can do. This knowledge will save me from a lot of problems in the future."
Xiao Fei spoke about all of her knowledge regarding the Eternal Fate Ancient Phoenix Race she had just obtained from her memories.
Even Tang Yin was surprised by some of the things she was saying. He had never heard of anything similar to what Xiao Fei was talking about. It was not even recorded in Tian Huang’s jade tokens.
