Chapter 256: Enacting the Plan
The Vice Palace Master of the Divine Sword Palace had a close relationship with Liu Wen. She was essentially a mother figure to him. Tang Yin found out about this when he searched through Liu Wen’s memories.
It was no surprise that she lost control of her emotions when Liu Wen did not return from the Exotic Enclosure Region.
The Divine Sword Palace also lost its heir. This was an extremely large blow to the organization, after all, finding another cultivator with a Cultivation Physique was almost impossible. Not to mention, it had to be something specific to swords like the Profound Nine Sword Physique which was even more difficult to find.
Even if the Divine Sword Palace found a cultivator with a Cultivation Physique, they would not be able to nurture them into a powerful figure due to their inheritance strictly pertaining to the Dao of the Sword.
Once the Divine Sword Palace flew off, the 28 disciples and Tang Yin let out collective sighs of relief.
They had felt as if they were facing a powerful venomous snake under the pressure of the Vice Palace Master. Without their Elders, they would have certainly perished. They felt grateful and terrified at the same time.
Without any obstruction, 7 of the cultivators moved. They consisted of men and women. They all headed to the 500 feet large ship of the Dual Cultivation Sect.
After paying respect to their Elders, they boarded the ship. 6 of them were in pairs whilst the last one was alone with grief on his face. Clearly, he had lost his other half.
The 4 Elders let out an accepting sigh. It was already quite good that 7 of their disciples had returned. Usually, only an average of 5 would return alive.
Of the remaining 21 cultivators, 5 of them headed to the Demonic Ghost Serpents of the Celestial Demon Sect.
Tang Yin recognized only one of them, he was Xiao Li, a Late-stage Spirit Ascension Realm cultivator. The other 4 were disciples of the Celestial Demon Sect. It seemed that the rest of the disciples from the Celestial Demon Sect, Xia Lu, Hu Yan and Lin Wu had perished inside the Exotic Enclosure Region.
Tang Yin did not go to the Celestial Demon Sect. He had no plans to turn over 30% of his harvests to them. Hence, his preparation to carry out his life and death plan.
Grand Elder Shi’s expression remained neutral. It was as if he had expected this many disciples to return alive. Elder Sun let out a forlorn sigh, this was much less than he had hoped. Elder Yu did not display any emotions.
There were now only 16 cultivators left.
5 more moved and flew towards the direction of the large, unfolded scroll of the Alchemy Association Branch.
The 2 elder’s eyes remained closed. They did not care how many disciples returned, that had nothing to do with them.
They were tasked with escorting the 20 disciples to the Exotic Enclosure Region. As for how many survived, that did not concern them. They just needed to escort these remaining disciples back and ensure their safety.
Once they did all of this, they would receive the rewards promised to them regardless of however many Alchemy Association members survived inside the Exotic Enclosure Region.
Lastly, the lingering 11 cultivators all belonged to the Martial Beast Sect.
All 4 of the other organizations were shocked at the high number of cultivators that survived inside the Exotic Enclosure Region from the Martial Beast Sect.
Even Tang Yin was slightly surprised. He had killed over 5 Martial Beast Sect disciples inside the Exotic Enclosure Region’s Grand Beast Valley alone.
All 11 cultivators, including Tang Yin who was disguised as a scrawny middle-aged man, flew to the Low-tier Rank 6 crimson eagle.
The middle-aged man on top of the crimson eagle, the Head Elder of the Martial Beast Sect was ecstatic.
The more disciples that survived the Exotic Enclosure Region, the higher the wealth they would have brought out from the Region. Not to mention, anyone who could survive inside the Exotic Enclosure Region was regarded as a talented genius.
Even if one survived purely based on luck, it was still an amazing feat. After all, luck was also part of one’s strength.
Tang Yin greeted the Head Elder of the Martial Beast Sect. He did it in the exact same manner as the original disciple whose identity he had stolen, Du Gu Min, had greeted the Head Elder in the past.
The Head Elder only sent the 11 cultivators a cursory glance, he had unbridled excitement within his eyes.
"Good, very good!" The Head Elder shouted with fervour. The more disciples that survived, the more the rewards and benefits the Sect Master would bestow upon him.
One by one, each of the 5 powerful organizations left.
They would obviously not distribute and organise their harvest from the Exotic Enclosure Region. Not only would each organization be exposing their gains, but they would also show the overall wealth accumulated from the Exotic Enclosure Region.
This would incite the greed of the various organizations and allow them to prepare adequately for the future.
The Divine Sword Palace had left early due to the anger of their Vice Palace Master and the hostility of the other 4 powerful organizations.
The next to leave was the Dual Cultivation Sect. The 2 Dao Pairs in charge controlled the 500 feet large ship to fly through the air like a behemoth. It very quickly left over the distance.
After the Dual Cultivation Sect was the Alchemy Association Branch. The 2 elders wanted to quickly finish their task and receive their rewards, therefore, they also quickly left on their scroll.
Next was the Celestial Demon Sect. Grand Elder Shi and Elder Sun controlled their Demonic Ghost Serpents to fly high into the clouds, disappearing from everyone’s sight.
Finally, only the Low-tier Rank 6 crimson eagle, the Head Elder and the 11 disciples remained.
"Alright, it’s time to return to the sect. All of you have done really well. Once we return to the sect, the Sect Master will personally reward each and every one of you." The Head Elder spoke with a kind voice. He seemed to be in a good mood.
...
Half an hour flowed by.
Everything had been progressing smoothly.
The crimson eagle flew through the sky at a swift speed. The group encountered no danger during the journey.
Tang Yin’s eyes shone with a bright light. It was time for his plan to commence!
Suddenly, Tang Yin jumped off the crimson eagle.
Everyone was surprised. A moment later, anger surfaced on the Head Elder’s face.
"You must have obtained something good in the Exotic Enclosure Region. It must be extremely precious since you are not willing to hand it over to the sect." Along with anger and curiosity, a slight hint of greed blossomed in the Head Elder.
A treasure which could make a mere Spirit Ascension Realm cultivator go against a Rank 6 Organization was bound to be heavenly.
Tang Yin stood in the air with abyssal wings formed from Abyss Qi on his back.
He tapped the Azure Luan Pouch and injected a bit of Abyss Qi into it. A crimson arc shot out.
It revealed itself to be a 20 feet large black bird with crimson-tipped feathers. There was a crimson crown feather on its head, and it radiated a dangerous aura. It was Xiao Fei!
Xiao Fei had assumed her Demonic Beast form inside the Azure Luan Pouch, it was the only way for the plan to work.
Almost instantly, the Low-tier Rank 6 crimson eagle felt a huge force of suppression descend upon its soul. Xiao Fei’s Lifeform Suppression instantly took effect.
With a large screech, it threw the 10 Spirit Ascension Realm cultivators and the Head Elder off its back.
"Little Red, what are you doing!?" The Head Elder shouted. He was a Spirit Beast Tamer, and the crimson eagle was one of his pets. He could feel Little Red’s intention to rebel and escape from their connection.
"Du Gu Min! This all your fault!" The Head Elder glared at Tang Yin with ferocity. He promptly grasped in his direction.
A large illusory hand appeared around Tang Yin, trying to seal him.
The Head Elder may be a Spirit Beast Tamer, but he was also a Peak-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator. He did not lack Martial Skills.
At most, he was weaker than the average Peak-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator due to focusing on his cultivation profession, and this was without his Spirit Beasts.
However, his cultivation base alone was enough to deal with a measly Spirit Ascension Realm cultivator.
Tang Yin sent out his divine sense and used it in a brutish manner to collide with the illusory palm.
The illusory palm was obliterated, and Tang Yin’s divine sense was forced to return to his body.
Disbelief coloured the Head Elder. He had only intended to capture Tang Yin and had thus not utilized much power.
Therefore, Tang Yin was just barely able to counterattack with his divine sense.
Putting aside his suspicions, a fierce glint appeared in the Head Elder’s eyes.
