Chapter 251: Grand Beast Valley

Additionally, this was only everything these 12 Spirit Ascension Realm cultivators had attained in the Black Wind Mountain Range.

Tang Yin also obtained many Medicinal Pills, Artifacts, Martial Skills, Training Manuals, Spirit Stones, and various other items from them. He had acquired the life’s accumulation of wealth of 12 Spirit Ascension Realm cultivators.

Cultivators almost always carried everything inside their storage ring. Therefore, upon killing a cultivator, one always obtained their wealth accumulated over a lifetime.

This was only the beginning though. There were still 3 days remaining until the Exotic Enclosure Region transported everyone back outside. Tang Yin had only begun his slaughter.

Tang Yin had essentially stripped the Black Wind Mountain Range of all of its cultivators and whatever resources that still remained undiscovered. There was probably a little bit more Tang Yin could obtain from the Black Wind Mountain Range, however, he had too little time. It was not worth it.

Upon finishing a session of slaughter and pillage, Tang Yin moved to his next target.

The next target was an explored area called the Grand Beast Valley.

The Grand Beast Valley was not actually a valley. It was just a large grassland and wilderness where all sorts of creatures wandered about. Some parts were a long stretch of flat plains whereas other parts were steep hills. Nevertheless, they were all part of the Grand Beast Valley.

The Grand Beast Valley was famous for housing many types of exotic and rare Demonic Beasts which could not be found in the outside world.

The Grand Beast Valley and was split into 2 parts, the Surface and the Underground.

On the Surface, Demonic Beasts ranging from Rank 1 to Rank 5 roamed the Grand Beast Valley. And Underground, only Rank 6 Demonic Beasts resided in their respective territories.

The Grand Beast Valley was one of the relatively safe areas in the Exotic Enclosure Region as long as one did not provoke or anger one of the Rank 6 Demonic Beasts Underground.

Tang Yin had decided to come to the Grand Beast Valley for 3 reasons.

The first was that it was quite close to the Black Wind Mountain Range.

The second was that due to the Grand Beast Valley being one of the safer areas in the Exotic Enclosure Region, the weaker cultivators would swarm to this place to find shelter and pick up easy prey.

The third and final reason for choosing to come to the Grand Beast Valley was related to something personal.

The cultivators that were in the Grand Beast Valley would have storage rings full of Demonic Beast corpses. Tang Yin wanted these Demonic Beast corpses so that he could Devour them and increase the power of his Heaven Devouring Abyss Physique. He was planning for the future.

Not only could he kill and plunder many Spirit Ascension Realm cultivators, but Tang Yin could also obtain many Demonic Beast corpses to aid in his cultivation. As a bonus, the Grand Beast Valley was also near the Black Wind Mountain Range, there was almost no ground to cover for the Crimson Feathered Luan.

Tang Yin and Xiao Fei rode the Crimson Feathered Luan to the Grand Beast Valley.

Surprisingly, during the short travel there, the trio encountered a Low-tier Rank 6 Demonic Beast and its pack in the clouds.

It was a pack of brown eagles, ranging from Rank 1 to Rank 5. The leader was a 200 feet large brown eagle, a Low-tier Rank 6 Demonic Beast.

Usually, eagle-type Demonic Beasts were solitary creatures, always hunting on their own. However, this pack of brown eagles seemed to be different from the norm.

Tang Yin did not dwell on it though. The pack leader, the Low-tier Rank 6 brown eagle had intelligence on par with humans. With little communication with the Crimson Feathered Luan and Xiao Fei, it decided not to fight.

The main reason for this was that both parties were just passing by, and neither side showed any battle intent. The leaders were also intelligent, able to communicate and peacefully resolve any issues.

Tang Yin had chosen not to battle the Rank 6 brown eagle and its pack despite his need for Demonic Beast carcasses.

He did not want to waste time here mingling with these brown eagles. The Demonic Beast bodies he was going to obtain in the Grand Beast Valley were corpses, meaning that they were already dead. He did not need to go through numerous battles to obtain each one.

If he needed any Rank 6 Demonic Beast corpses, Tang Yin could just provoke a Rank 6 Demonic Beast in the Grand Beast Valley’s Underground section and kill it. But he did not plan to do this. He wanted to visit many other areas, however, he was tight on time. Avoiding unnecessary battles would save him a lot of time.

The Demonic Beast corpses that he was about to plunder were essentially just prepared for him. All he had to do was collect them. No unnecessary time was wasted doing this.

After trudging past the unexpected encounter with the brown eagle pack, Tang Yin was reminded of where he was, the Exotic Enclosure Region.

A Region that was full of danger. He had seemingly forgotten about how dangerous the place was due to not encountering enough danger outside the Demon Spirit Cavern. He had also grown slightly complacent since his soul’s power was equivalent to a Mid-stage Principle Comprehension Realm cultivator’s soul.

The encounter with the Rank 6 brown eagle and its pack had doused a bucket of cold water on Tang Yin, reminding him to always remain vigilant and alert.

Tang Yin arrived at the Grand Beast Valley shortly after.

He was currently located on top of a hill. With his divine sense spread out and the Heaven Piercing Gaze, he could see and sense many Demonic Beasts wandering about.

Tang Yin directly ignored these Demonic Beasts, he was not here to kill them. Upon discovering no cultivators, the Crimson Feathered Luan flew to another area inside the Grand Beast Valley’s Surface.

Fortunately, Tang Yin found traces of a cultivator. He promptly followed these traces to a lush green hill. He found a cultivator seated cross-legged on the hill, meditating.

It was an old man wearing the clothes of the Martial Beast Sect. He was a Mid-stage Spirit Ascension Realm cultivator.

He appeared to be replenishing his Soul Energy and healing from small injuries.

The old man seemed to notice something and opened his eyes, which narrowed a moment later.

In the distance, he saw a red dot, rapidly enlarging.

A few instances later, the old man’s expression changed drastically to one of shock and horror. He immediately got up and fled with the quickest speed he could muster.

Tang Yin who was seated on the Crimson Feathered Luan raised an eyebrow. The old Martial Beast Sect disciple seemed to have somehow realised that the Crimson Feathered Luan was a Rank 6 Demonic Beast.

’He should be a Spirit Beast Tamer. Spirit Beast Tamers deal with Demonic Beasts almost their entire lives. It is not surprising that he can distinguish a Rank 6 Demonic Beast at a glance.’ Tang Yin thought inwardly. However, all he did was urge the Crimson Feathered Luan to shoot at the old man with its fastest speed.

The Crimson Feathered Luan turned into a red blur and instantly closed in on the old man.

Despair appeared on the old man’s face. He quickly tapped a pouch hanging off his waist, 3 Low-tier Rank 5 Demonic Beasts shot out and headed towards the Crimson Feathered Luan.

"Scram!" Xiao Fei shouted angrily. The 3 Low-tier Rank 5 Demonic Beasts scattered in random directions, ignoring the old man’s orders to attack the Crimson Feathered Luan.

The old man’s expression turned to one of complete despair and terror. He had threatened the 3 Low-tier Rank 5 Demonic Beasts with death through their connection. However, the 3 Low-tier Rank 5 Demonic Beasts absolutely refused to return even under the threat of death which left him baffled and in complete despair.

Spirit Beast Tamers usually relied on their Spirit Beasts. They did not practice many Martial Skills, and their physical bodies were weaker than usual. Without their Spirit Beasts, Spirit Beast Tamers were heavily disadvantaged against cultivators with a similar level of cultivation.

The Crimson Feathered Luan shot passed the old man, swiftly tearing his head away from his shoulders.

If not for Xiao Fei’s command, it would have completely shredded the old man to pieces, without leaving anything behind.

Tang Yin snatched the old man’s head. Without delay, he devoured his soul, Soul Sea and Martial Spirit. The power of his soul did not increase by much.

Tang Yin sent out a bunch of refined Killing Intent to retrieve the old man’s headless corpse which was descending from the sky.

A moment later, the refined Killing Intent returned with the old man’s corpse.

Tang Yin took his storage ring and inspected it. As expected, there were many Demonic Beast corpses inside, including a few Rank 5 Demonic Beast corpses.

Tang Yin transferred everything to his own storage ring before stowing away the old man’s headless corpse inside as well.

Everything had been done quickly and efficiently within 2 minutes.

Tang Yin rode the Crimson Feathered Luan to continue searching for more cultivators inside the Grand Beast Valley’s Surface.
