Chapter 241: Crimson Feathered Luan
"Since you now belong to me, all of your possessions will also belong to me." Tang Yin stated calmly to Old Ape.
Old Ape pondered for a moment. With a resigned voice, he said, "Do what you want." There was not much to think about. Tang Yin could kill it with a single thought, resisting for mere worldly possessions would get it killed, it was simply not worth it.
"Take me back to your place of dwelling." Tang Yin jumped onto Old Ape’s shoulder.
Xiao Fei also retracted her Everlasting Hell Flames and jumped onto Old Ape’s shoulder beside Tang Yin.
Although Old Ape was severely injured, it was still a Low-tier Rank 6 Demonic Beast. It was able to return to its cave abode in half an hour.
Old Ape’s cave abode was extremely large, it was basically the interior of a mountain. This was due to Old Ape being extremely large.
Tang Yin and Old Ape entered together.
Tang Yin spread out his divine sense and activated his Heaven Piercing Gaze. There was not much in the cave abode. At the far end of the cave was a throne. It was made out of stone and was very crude.
Tang Yin did not say anything though. Old Ape was a Tyrant Ape King, it was the king of thousands of low-ranking Demonic Beasts and multiple Rank 5 Demonic Beasts. It was bound to be a bit arrogant and narcissistic.
"Old Ape, where are your treasures?" Tang Yin asked. Besides the throne made out of stone, there was nothing else in the cave abode.
"It’s behind the throne." Old Ape pointed to the throne.
Tang Yin was sceptical, he looked towards Xiao Fei.
Xiao Fei understood the meaning of his gaze, she jumped off Old Ape’s shoulder and darted to the throne made out of stone. She then disappeared behind it.
A moment later, she emerged from behind the throne made out of stone. In her hand was a storage ring!
Tang Yin was surprised, but after a moment of thought, he understood what was happening.
Storage rings could technically be used by anyone who knew how to use one.
Old Ape’s intelligence was above normal humans, therefore, it was not strange that he knew how to use a storage ring. After all, even normal humans could utilize a storage ring if they knew how to use it.
"How did you obtain a storage ring?" Tang Yin curiously asked Old Ape.
"A human wandered into the Crimson Tree Forest. I happened to be nearby, so I disposed of him and took his belongings." Old Ape replied neutrally.
Once Xiao Fei returned to Old Ape’s shoulder, she gave the storage ring to Tang Yin.
Tang Yin took a quick peek, and he was shocked at the contents.
’Dragon Curl Grass, Star Glitter Ore, Poison Crow Stalk, Vermillion Bead Meadow...’ As Tang Yin continued to list out the contents of the storage ring, his shock only grew.
All of the items and treasures within the storage mostly consisted of precious and extinct herbs and ores. The value of each one in the outside world was astronomical.
There were no Demonic Beast Cores or Demonic Beast corpses. This made sense as Demonic Beasts usually consumed them to further their own strength.
Tang Yin swiftly transferred the precious items into his storage ring under the conflicted and pained gaze of Old Ape. Even if he left the Exotic Enclosure Region right now, it would have been worth it.
Tang Yin looked at Old Ape. "Can you Metamorphose?"
"I can, but I haven’t done so in centuries." Old Ape responded.
"Doesn’t matter, I can’t travel around with you being so big." Tang Yin spoke with a tone that suggested no refusal.
Old Ape contemplated for a moment, then with a sigh, he nodded.
Tang Yin and Xiao Fei got off Old Ape’s shoulder and stood beside the throne made out of stone, waiting for Old Ape to Metamorphose.
Old Ape let out a roar, the cave abode started to rumble. Then he started to rapidly shrink. When he was only 7 feet large, he stopped shrinking. Red energy came out of his body and encompassed a 20 feet radius around him.
A moment later, the red energy receded. What appeared from the red energy was a naked middle-aged man. He had short hair and a ferocious face. He had an extremely bulky build, enough to intimidate any man.
Tang Yin brought out a set of clothes for Old Ape which he accepted gratefully. After all, he did not want to travel around naked.
"Are there any bird type or fire element Rank 6 Demonic Beasts in this forest?" Tang Yin enquired, he had not forgotten his original goal of entering the Crimson Tree Forest.
Old Ape nodded, "There is a Crimson Feather Luan around 1,000 kilometres from here. It is a Mid-tier Rank 6 Demonic Beast."
"Alright let’s go." Tang Yin thought for a moment, he then looked towards Xiao Fei, and upon seeing her smile, he was reassured of his plan.
Tang Yin, Xiao Fei and Old Ape left the cave abode towards their target, the Mid-tier Rank 6 Crimson Feather Luan.
It did not take too long for the trio to travel 1,000 kilometres with their speed.
Along the way, they encountered a few Rank 5 Demonic Beasts which were subdued by Xiao Fei. As usual, Xiao Fei took their Demonic Beast Cores whilst Tang Yin took their corpses and Beast Souls. As for Old Ape, he didn’t get anything.
Before long, the trio arrived at a particularly large crimson tree. It was around a thousand meters tall and a hundred meters wide.
Inside the large crimson tree was a 100 feet large nest. Inside the nest was a crimson-feathered bird. It was around 80 meters large and was completely crimson with no other colours. It was the Crimson Feathered Luan!
As soon as Tang Yin, Xiao Fei and Old Ape arrived near the tree, the Crimson Feathered Luan became aware of their presence.
It quickly left its nest and arrived before the trio. It spread out its crimson wings and screeched. It was clearly trying to intimidate the trio into retreating.
Everlasting Hell Flames surged forth from Xiao Fei’s body, they wrapped around her for a moment before surging back into her body. She had transformed into her Demonic Beast form.
She took the same size as the Crimson Feathered Luan. Then she retorted the Crimson Feathered Luan with her own screech.
The Crimson Feathered Luan was taken back. Its eyes grew cold, and killing intent brewed within.
Suddenly, a mighty pressure descended on the Crimson Feathered Luan. Its eyes widened as it slowly descended to the ground.
The pressure did not come from a stronger cultivation base, instead, it came from Xiao Fei’s bloodline. She had used the Lifeform Suppression on the Crimson Feathered Luan.
The Crimson Feathered Luan tried to resist to no avail. It did not want to submit, but its instinct told it otherwise. It was as if the Crimson Feathered Luan had just met its ruler and had to submit, but it did not want to.
On one hand, the Crimson Feathered Luan did not want to submit, it wanted to keep its freedom. On the other hand, the Crimson Feathered Luan’s bloodline and instincts told it to submit.
Tang Yin and Old Ape stood to the side, watching the show unfold.
Tang Yin watched closely, he wanted to see the power of Xiao Fei’s Lifeform Suppression. Was it truly as godly as she had mentioned it to be?
A peculiar glint flashed across Old Ape’s eyes. He looked at Xiao Fei with shock and a hint of fear. He was not a bird type or fire element Demonic Beast, therefore, due to his strength, he could not really feel the power of Xiao Fei’s bloodline.
However, now he was witnessing her subdue the Mid-tier Rank 6 Crimson Feathered Luan!
After a long and hard internal struggle, the Crimson Feather Luan gave in. It landed on the ground, tucked in its crimson wings and lowered its head. It had submitted!
In truth, the Crimson Feathered Luan had no choice. Even a High-tier Rank 6 bird-type Demonic Beast would have to submit to Xiao Fei’s Lifeform Suppression.
It was just a matter of how long it took for the Crimson Feathered Luan to be overtaken by its instincts and bloodline.
"Good job!" Tang Yin gave Xiao Fei a thumbs up from the side. He was quite impressed with her Lifeform Suppression. Now they did not have to go everywhere on foot and could instead ride a mount.
Not to mention, the Crimson Feathered Luan’s speciality relied on speed. Its defence was its weakness, and its attack was only mediocre. However, none of that mattered. Tang Yin’s sole purpose for this Crimson Feathered Luan was to act as a mount. Having speed as its speciality was only a bonus.
Xiao Fei jumped onto the Crimson Feathered Luan’s back. Tang Yin followed suit. However, as soon as he neared the Crimson Feather Luan, its eyes turned cold, and it was about to attack.
Xiao Fei slapped its head and employed her Lifeform Suppression on the Crimson Feathered Luan once again.
The Crimson Feathered Luan retracted its ferocity and obediently lowered its head.
Tang Yin and Old Ape hopped on the Crimson Feathered Luan’s back. The bird did not display any resistance this time.
