Chapter 227: Xiao Fei Awakens
Tang Yin brought out Xiao Fei from the Azure Luan Pouch. A small black chick with crimson-tipped feathers appeared in Tang Yin’s hands. The small black chick was in a deep slumber, its chest heaved up and down slowly.
Tang Yin gently placed her down on the floor. He then manifested his wings and flew into the clouds. He did not want to disturb Xiao Fei’s evolution, he would only protect her from the clouds in case of any danger.
Tang Yin knew that Xiao Fei was about to awaken, but he did not know exactly when. It could be in a few days or even a few weeks. However, this did not matter. He would vigilantly guard her until she awoke from her slumber.
Nobody had stumbled across his cave since he had occupied it a year ago. The chances of someone discovering it at this moment were extremely slim, but they still existed.
Tang Yin constantly had the Heaven Piercing Gaze active, he also had his refined Killing Intent spread out into the surrounding area to increase his awareness.
Then he just silently waited in the clouds for the moment Xiao Fei awoke.

The influx of energy suddenly burst forth, black flames which Tang Yin was familiar with spread out with Xiao Fei as its centre.
The black flames did not spread too far, only encompassing a radius of 1,000 feet around Xiao Fei.
Tang Yin abruptly flew higher, he felt a sense of danger coming from the Everlasting Hell Flames.
The next instant, the Everlasting Hell Flames expanded even further and covered a radius of 10,000 feet.
Tang Yin was shocked, with the Heaven Piercing Gaze, he could see that Xiao Fei’s body was rapidly enlarging, it had already passed the 3,000 feet mark and was still swiftly growing larger.
Within a few moments, Xiao Fei was 5,000 feet large. What made Tang Yin’s mind explode was that Xiao Fei was still growing larger, she showed no signs of stopping.
Tang Yin finally utilized the Phantom Steps to evade the incoming Everlasting Hell Flames.
Xiao Fei’s pristine black feathers with crimson tips became even more pronounced and beautiful, this was exceptionally clear as her body expanded.
Xiao Fei only stopped growing once she was 10,000 feet large. Tang Yin was not even the size of her eyeball.
The Everlasting Hell Flames surrounding Xiao Fei gushed back into her body which was followed by Xiao Fei’s sharp screech full of pride and excitement.
Tang Yin flew before Xiao Fei. He had a gentle look in his eyes as well as deep shock hidden deep within.
He could feel a stronger pressure emitting from Xiao Fei’s body compared to the Mid-stage Spirit Ascension Realm cultivator who had chased him in the Devil Sea Region’s south zone.
Xiao Fei’s 10,000 feet large body slowly shrank after her sharp screech.
In the blink of an eye, she had shrunk to only 6 feet large. Her body also slowly took the form of a beautiful young woman.
Her appearance was still the same as before. She had a mischievous expression on her peerlessly beautiful face, her figure was slim and slender, it moved around with elegance. Her curvaceous breasts were even more prominent than before. Her voluptuous rear was also abundant and distinct. She was wearing the same red dress with black embroidery patterns emblazoned in its outlines.
Tang Yin took a moment to appreciate Xiao Fei’s beauty despite having seen it numerous times in the past. The only difference was that he had not seen this breathtaking face in a very long time.
Upon opening her eyes, the first thing Xiao Fei gazed upon was Tang Yin. It was as if at this moment only Tang Yin existed in her world, the surroundings were completely non-existent.
The duo stared at each other for a moment, they were the only people that existed in the world at this instance.
Tang Yin took the first step, he slowly walked towards Xiao Fei, his gaze never leaving her eyes.
Xiao Fei blushed, she had the urge to look away but forced herself to continue gazing at Tang Yin. She wanted to show that she was not embarrassed and that Tang Yin’s gaze had no effect on her.
When Tang Yin was only a few feet away from her, she gave in. She diverted her gaze to the floor, unable to look Tang Yin in the eyes.
Tang Yin lifted his hand up and reached for Xiao Fei, he lightly caressed her hair.
Xiao Fei did not move, she stood there silently with a blush on her face, letting Tang Yin do what he wanted.
"How was the evolution?" Tang Yin spoke with a soft tone. He did not pressure or demand any answers.
A rarely seen grim expression surfaced on Xiao Fei’s face.
"I obtained a few memories from my bloodline. It explains a lot." Xiao Fei spoke vaguely, she did not reveal everything at once.
Tang Yin remained quiet, waiting for Xiao Fei to continue.
"Most Demonic Beasts will go through a single powerful tribulation when advancing to the 6th Rank and Metamorphosing into a human form. However, it is different for my race." Xiao Fei’s expression only became graver with each sentence.
"The Eternal Fate Ancient Phoenix Race will go through a Metamorphosis in their life depending on their potential. Those who Metamorphose early have high potential whilst those who Metamorphose late possess average or low potential. I’m of the former type."
"The Eternal Fate Ancient Phoenix Race do not face tribulations. Instead, they need to survive a disaster. This disaster can be considered to be the alternative to the tribulation normal Demonic Beasts have to face when attempting to advance to Rank 6."
"This disaster does not descend when a member of the Eternal Fate Ancient Phoenix Race goes through Metamorphosis, instead, it descends at a fixed time. This time is when a member of the Eternal Fate Ancient Phoenix Race attempts to reach Rank 6. Xiao Fei spoke in precise detail about everything she had learnt from her bloodline. Tang Yin’s expression also slowly changed whilst Xiao Fei continued her explanation.
"Do you know what disaster you will have to face and when it will descend?" Tang Yin expressed his doubts. Xiao Fei had only mentioned the disaster, she did not explain what the disaster was and how she would get through it.
"According to the memories I received from my bloodline, the disaster is called the Everlasting Heaven Flame Disaster. A spark of Everlasting Heaven Flame will somehow appear in my body. If I can withstand and bring it under my control, not only will I be considered to have passed the disaster, I will also obtain the Everlasting Heaven Flames."
"This is how most of the Eternal Fate Ancient Phoenix Race obtain their Everlasting Heaven Flames. Those who cannot withstand the Everlasting Heaven Flame and fail to bring it under their control will have their body and soul burned to a crisp, nothing will remain."

Tang Yin knew that he could not aid Xiao Fei when she faced the Everlasting Heaven Flame Disaster. This disaster was a speciality of her race and also a serendipity for Xiao Fei, if she succeeded.
Tang Yin took Xiao Fei into his embrace. Xiao Fei’s spirits were lifted once she felt the warmth of Tang Yin’s support. Her expression reverted back to her mischievous self.
"Forget about this for now, what else did you obtain from your evolution and bloodline?" Tang Yin changed the topic. There was no point dwelling on the Everlasting Heaven Flame Disaster for now.
"I obtained 2 things from my evolution and bloodline respectively other than the information about the disaster." Xiao Fei’s face displayed a hint of excitement when she mentioned this.
"The first is an ability from my bloodline, it is called Lifeform Suppression. I can use the authority of my bloodline and flames to intimidate and suppress bird-type and fire-element Demonic Beasts. It is quite similar to Bloodline Suppression, but it only works on bird-type Demonic Beasts and Demonic Beasts of the fire element."
"The difference between the Bloodline Suppression and Lifeform Suppression is that Bloodline Suppression applies to all types of Demonic Beasts and their strength. I cannot intimidate or suppress Demonic Beasts that are a Rank higher than me. Tang Yin had nothing to say to Xiao Fei whilst she was boasting, he was just glad to see her happy after the earlier dispiritedness due to the approaching Everlasting Heaven Flame Disaster.
After gloating about her superior lifeform, Xiao Fei moved on to the second ability she obtained. This ability was obtained from the evolution of her strength and the innate talent of her race.
"The second ability which I obtained is called Space Warp. It is quite self-explanatory. I can warp through space to instantly appear at a different location. However, there is a limitation to this ability. The transportation distance through Space Warp depends on 2 things."
"The 1st condition is my state. Warping through space requires me to be physically strong enough to resist the Principles of Space. At my peak, I should be able to use Space Warp to transport myself within a few hundred kilometres. I also cannot use Space Warp continuously as the burden on my body will accumulate until I explode."
"The 2nd condition is the environment. If the space in an area is extremely disorderly and violent, then it will be exceedingly difficult to use Space Warp in that area. Likewise, if the space in an area is extremely weak and fragile, not only will I be able to Space Warp continuously, I should also be able to warp to longer distances."

Xiao Fei explained with a giggle, there was a mischievous tone to her voice, it was clear that she was planning to use this Space Warp ability of hers to do some shady things.
"Hm, it seems quite convenient. Can you bring others along with you whilst Space Warping?" Tang Yin suddenly had a thought.
"As long as one’s physique is strong enough to withstand the Principles of Space, I can bring them along." Xiao Fei replied pridefully as if everything was possible for her.
A ghostly smile appeared on Tang Yin’s lips.
