Chapter 180: Beast Soul Receptacle
"I look forward to your future evolutions." Tang Yin said with a smile.
The duo then talked and laughed for a bit before returning to Tang Yin’s cave abode.
"Master, what’s the plan now?" Xiao Fei asked. Tang Yin had filled her in about what he had been up to for the past year. She knew he had no intention of practising any more skills. He was satisfied with the ones he had already mastered for the moment.
"Remember these?" Tang Yin brought out a dark gold rock from his storage ring. It was the size of 2 heads.
"Gambling Stones! Didn’t you run out of them?" Xiao Fei gasped, excitement appeared on her face. She still vividly remembered the power of the treasures she had obtained from the Gambling Stones before.
"Last time, we only opened half of them. We will be opening the rest now." Tang Yin faintly said. He also held a bit of expectation for the Gambling Stones despite knowing that any treasures he could obtain would only have a few uses.
Tang Yin activated the Heaven Piercing Gaze and injected Abyss Qi into the Gambling Stone.
Layers of the Gambling Stone were chipped off. When the Gambling Stone was reduced to the size of only a single head, Tang Yin slowed down. He chipped around the edges of whatever he could see inside.
The next moment, a small rusty dagger embedded with small pieces of debris was excavated.
Tang Yin gave the small dagger to Xiao Fei. She used her Everlasting Hell Flames to cleanse the small dagger. The small dagger swiftly turned to ashes and scattered.
Disappointed appeared on Xiao Fei’s face. Tang Yin’s expression was neutral, he knew that most of the Gambling Stones were too old and anything within would have most likely already turned into useless junk by now.
He swiftly brought out another Gambling Stone and dissected it.
Tang Yin only had around 150 Gambling Stones remaining. The chances of a usable treasure being inside one of them were low.
Tang Yin spent the whole day opening 25 Gambling Stones. The results left him disappointed, none contained a useable treasure so far.
The next day, Tang Yin started opening more Gambling Stones without any delay.
After Opening 17 Gambling Stones, he finally uncovered a usable treasure which did not scatter after being cleansed by Xiao Fei’s flames.
The item was a small blue orb. It had a couple of beasts’ images imprinted on its surface. Tang Yin did not know what it was, so he immersed himself in the 3rd jade token containing Tian Huang’s knowledge of the cultivation world.
Once Tang Yin found what he was looking for, he looked at the small blue orb in his palm with a glint in his eyes.
According to the jade token, the small blue orb was a Beast Soul Receptacle.
A cultivator could store any Beast Soul they extracted from the corpse of a Demonic Beast into this small blue orb.
The Beast Soul Receptacle was a soul-type Artifact which could only be found in Regions which contained high-ranking organizations. The method to create them was only possessed by high-tier Forgers or wealthy organizations. It was not something which could exist in a mere Devil Sea Region or Drifblim Region.
Tang Yin did not really need this, instead of storing Beast Souls, he would rather Devour them to increase his strength. However, he could not do so at the moment, the only thing which could increase his strength was Spirit Flames.
Therefore, he decided to store the Beast Soul Receptacle in his storage ring. He would either sell it for a hefty price later or use it if he required souls in the future.
Once that Artifact had been dealt with, Tang Yin moved on to the next Gambling Stone. Like this another 25 Gambling Stones were dissected with no results. Altogether, Tang Yin had spent 2 days and had opened 50 Gambling Stones with only a single useable treasure being uncovered.
There were only 100 Gambling Stones remaining,
Tang Yin spent the 3rd-day dissecting Gambling Stones, but there were no results.
"Xiao Fei, what type of luck did you have to obtain 10 treasures from last time?" Tang Yin asked with a resigned expression. His hope in the Gambling Stones was wavering.
"I guess I am just blessed by the heavens." Xiao Fei responded with a smug expression.
Only 75 Gambling Stones remained now.
Tang Yin unenthusiastically spent the 4th day opening more Gambling Stones. There were finally some harvests!
