"I will provide you with as many Supreme-grade Spirit Stones you need to form a Spirit Flame, if you choose the 3rd option." Tian Huang responded. He did not press Tang Yin to make his choice.
Tang Yin did not immediately make his decision even after deciding which option he would choose internally. This was one of the most important decisions he had to make in his life, he wasn’t going to be reckless. He needed to be calm and analyse his choices in-depth to see which one held the most advantages to him.
After a long few minutes, Tang Yin finally made up his mind. "I choose the 3rd option." Tian Huang smiled, if Tang Yin chose the first or the second option, he would have been disappointed.
Although this seemed like the serendipity Tian Huang promised, it was in fact a test. A test to gauge Tang Yin’s sagacity and analytical thinking. Such traits were necessary to survive in the cruel cultivation world.
"Very well, sit down." Tian Huang told Tang Yin to sit down on the 1000th step. Tang Yin was surprised, he did not think Tian Huang would make him form a Spirit Flame on the Heaven Ascension Peak.
Nevertheless, he obediently sat down where he was standing. Tian Huang waved his arm and dozens of sparkling, light golden stones appeared beside Tang Yin. These were Supreme-grade Spirit Stones.
"Form a Spirit Flame according to the method recorded in your Training Manual. Everything else is self-explanatory." Tian Huang instructed.
Tang Yin looked into the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit. The method to form a Spirit Flame was depicted there. Tang Yin read the method very carefully.
After spending a good few minutes reading through the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit, a strange feeling arose within Tang Yin.
Normal cultivators would only need to create a single Spirit Flame and nurture it inside of their body. The nurturing process had 9 stages which corresponded to the 9 cultivation stages in the Qi Transformation Realm.
However, according to the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit, Tang Yin needed to create 9 Spirit Flames.
Each Spirit Flame he formed would increase his cultivation by a stage until he formed 9 Spirit Flames and reached the 9th stage of the Qi Transformation Realm. To reach completion in the Qi Transformation Realm, he would then need to fuse all 9 Spirit Flames into one.
Tang Yin could use anything the Heaven Devouring Abyss devoured to create his first Spirit Flame. Each Spirit Flame after that would need to Devour other Qi Transformation Realm cultivators Spirit Flames to form itself. It was very similar to how he condensed spirit veins. Only this time, he could only Devour Spirit Flames.
Naturally, the Supreme-grade Spirit Stones were the most ideal choice to use as a source to create his first Spirit Flame to reach the 1st stage of the Qi Transformation Realm. The amount of energy they could provide compared to anything else was substantial.
Tang Yin felt a huge headache incoming. To increase his cultivation, he would need to kill a large number of Qi Transformation Realm cultivators and Devour their Spirit Flames to form more of his own. He sighed.
"What’s wrong? Are you not optimistic about your chances of reaching the Qi Transformation Realm?" Tian Huang asked curiously, he had mistaken Tang Yin’s forlorn sigh as a sign of low confidence concerning his breakthrough.
"Don’t worry, the chances of getting burned by your own Spirit Flame are very low. Even if it does happen, I can ensure that you won’t die." Tian Huang reassured Tang Yin.
A glint appeared in Tang Yin’s eyes, he did not know why Tian Huang was being so good to him. He did not believe that Tian Huang was a kind person, there was surely a motive behind his actions. But he did not dwell on this at the moment.
Tang Yin grabbed 2 Supreme-grade Spirit Stones and started to Devour the Spirit Qi inside of them with the Heaven Devouring Abyss. He channelled the Spirit Qi into a single point and compressed it into a spark using the method listed in the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit.
The spark grew slightly larger as more Spirit Qi was compressed into it. Within a few minutes, the pair of Supreme-grade Spirit Stones in Tang Yin’s hands turned to dust. He grabbed another pair of Spirit Stones and devoured the Spirit Qi inside them and channelled it towards the growing spark.
Tian Huang watched Tang Yin absorb the Supreme-grade Spirit Stones. It was unknown what he was thinking.
An hour trickled by.
Every time Tang Yin devoured a pair of Supreme-grade Spirit Stones, he would just grab another pair and start another round of devouring. All of the Spirit Stones around him were gone.
Tian Huang waved his arm, and another dozen Supreme-grade Spirit Stones appeared around Tang Yin. He grabbed a pair and started devouring them.
The spark created using the method inside of the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit had grown larger. But it was not complete yet. There was still a lot more energy needed to fully form the first Spirit Flame.
